Abstract

Palu’s Earthquake on 28 September 2018 had caused structural failure including buildings with wooden structures which were knew as an earthquake-resistant structures. This study will discuss existing building timber roofs structure were damaged after the earthquake, various and caused of the damaged. Existing and retrofitted timber rooss and alternatives design of the roofs structures will be compared. Retroffited timber roof, truss roof with 70x70x6 double angle and gable frame roof structure with WF 250x125 will be design with 15 m length span and 45° slope. Based on these data collected from initial assessment of that buildings, analysis was conducted. Detailed assessments were carried out, when analysis of the truss, frame and joint of roofs structures were needed. Results of the initial assessment of wooden structure, showed that damages occurred at the many joints of member joints and joint-connection between wall and truss as the poor connection system. Redesign showed were structural behavior of retrofitted timber roof, double angle truss roof and gable frame roof structure showed better strength, stiffness and ratio of member force to self-weight.

Abstract

Labyrinth weirs have a longer crest length compared to linear weirs to increase the discharge capacity for a given water head. Generally, the plan shape of labyrinth weirs is triangular, trapezoidal, and rectangular. In this regard, several studies have been published regarding determining the hydraulic characteristics of labyrinth weirs. However, the effect of changing the plan shape if other parameters such as the same length and height have not been addressed in the current literature. To fill this gap, this study aims to compare the hydraulic characteristics of flow over triangular, trapezoidal, and rectangular labyrinth weirs with the same length of the crest i.e. 230 cm length. Experiments study were conducted in a flume with a length of 16 m and a width of 95 cm. Three experimental models in this study were used. The results of this study indicated that changing the plan shape from trapezoidal to triangular increased the discharge coefficient (Cd) by about 38,0% on average. Furthermore, changing rectangular to triangular increased the Cd by about 64,5% on average. Thus, it can be concluded that the triangular model was the most efficient hydraulically compared to the others while the rectangular model was the least efficient.

Abstract

Gedung utama Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Gorontalo di Kabupaten Bone Bolango dibangun pada tahun 2017 berdasarkan SNI 1726:2012. Adanya perkembangan ilmu pengetahuan dan teknologi, pada tahun 2019 diterbitkan SNI 1726:2019 menggantikan SNI 1726:2012, maka dilakukan penelitian untuk melihat pengaruh perubahan SNI 1726:2012 menjadi SNI 1726:2019 terhadap nilai gaya geser dasar (V) dan simpangan antar lantai (Δ) gedung utama Fakultas Teknik Universitas Negeri Gorontalo. Penelitian ini menggunakan data yang diperoleh dari PIU IDB UNG (Project Implementation Unit Islamic Development Bank Universitas Negeri Gorontalo) berupa gambar perencanaan bangunan, data umum mutu bahan yang dipakai, dan data tanah. Prosedur analisis menggunakan bantuan program ETABS versi 17.0.1. Hasil analisis nilai gaya geser seismik statik (VStat) dan gaya geser seismik dinamik (VRS) yang terjadi mengalami penurunan, nilai gaya geser seismik statik (VStat) untuk arah X dan Y mengalami penurunan 18,8% dan untuk nilai gaya geser seismik dinamik (VRS) arah X mengalami penurunan 4,74% dan arah Y mengalami penurunan 5,35%. Adapun hasil analisis nilai simpangan antar lantai (Δ) di setiap tingkat tidak melewati batas simpangan izin yaitu 58,65 mm. Nilai rata-rata simpangan antar lantai (Δ) dari setiap tingkat untuk arah X mengalami penurunan 4,77% dan untuk arah Y mengalami penurunan 5,37%.

Abstract

Kebutuhan air baku meningkat seiring dengan pertambahan jumlah penduduk dan berbanding terbalik dengan luas areal irigasi/sawah di daerah yang jumlah penduduknya meningkat. Daerah Irigasi Bajo (2006) sebesar 5784.73 Ha meliputi kecamatan Belopa, kecamatan Belopa Utara dan kecamatan Bajo mengalami pengurangan areal layanan akibat perluasan permukiman. Untuk mengoptimalkan pemanfaatan air irigasi, perlu dilakukan kajian mengenai perubahan luas areal layanan dan perubahan kebutuhan air irigasi. Analisa kebutuhan air irigasi dilakukan dengan memperhitungkan faktor-faktor berpengaruh, meliputi: kebutuhan air penyiapan lahan, penggunaan air konsumtif, perkolasi dan rembesan, penggantian lapisan air, curah hujan efektif dan yang paling utama adalah luas areal yang dilayani. Kebutuhan air irigasi DI. Bajo adalah 1,04 lt/det/ha (Cropwat 8.0) dan 1,41 lt/det/ha. Sejak tahun 1980-2018, pengurangan luas area sawah mencapai 249,58 ha, hal ini berbanding lurus dengan kebutuhan air irigasi, Sehingga terjadi kelebihan air sebesar 351,91 lt/det berdasarkan Cropwat 8.0 dan berdasarkan konsep awal 259,56 lt/det. Hasil penelitian diharapkan dapat memberikan informasi bagi pemerintah dan pengambil kebijakan mengenai peruntukan lahan dan masukan kepada pengelola irigasi D.I. Bajo untuk optimalisasi pemanfaatan air.

Abstract

Construction housing projects involve many risks and uncertainties that can affect their completion time. To ensure a construction housing project is completed on time, an accurate duration estimate is required for each activity. Deterministic duration methods, such as the Critical Path Method (CPM), are commonly used in project scheduling for construction projects. However, this method may not always produce a realistic schedule as it uses only a single duration estimation for each activity. As an alternative, this study uses the Program Evaluation and Review Technique (PERT) which utilizes three duration estimates namely optimistic duration, most likely duration, and pessimistic duration. A house construction project with 23 activities was analyzed using CPM to find the critical activities which produced 59 days of completion time. The critical path duration was then analyzed using PERT. PERT calculations found that there was only a 15% probability to complete the project in 59 days, and the project needed 66 days of completion time with a 95% level of confidence. The findings of this study indicate that PERT can assist project managers in creating a more realistic project schedule by considering the risks and uncertainties in estimating the duration of its activities.
