Abstract

ABSTRACT In Indonesia at this time the majority of people adhere to Islam, but so there are still many who have not implemented Islamic religious teachings in accordance with the Shari'ah according to the Koran and Hadith, both those who live in rural areas and in urban areas, especially the common people. The purpose of this study is to find out how the da'wah communication method carried out by Prof. Dr. H M Rasjidi regarding the mysticism in the book Islam and Kebatinan. This research is library research with data collection techniques using primary data and secondary data, by documenting or collecting data from documents in the form of books, magazines, journals, websites and others. The data source for this research is a book written by Prof Dr H M Rasjidi entitled "Islam and mysticism" and also from supporting data obtained from libraries, journals and websites. Based on the results of research by the author that the communication method used by Prof. Dr. H M Rasjidi regarding mysticism is the mujilah method. With this method, everyone who reads the book written by Prof. Dr. H M Rasjidi knows clearly the difference between mysticism and Islam Keywords: Mysticism, Da'wah Communication Methods

Abstract

ABSTRACT Da'wah messeges become essential elements and greatly determine the success of da'wah implementation. Da'wah is not only conveyed through the pulpit but also through print and electronic media, which can be delivered more easily and have a wider reach. This certainly facilitates humans with print media to seek information such as journals, news, or entertaining readings from short stories, storybooks, or novels. Novels are one of print media that can be used as a medium for da'wah in conveying Islamic teachings. This study aims to determine the da'wah messages in the novel 172 days by Nadzira Shafa. This research uses qualitative research methods with content analysis. The results show that the da'wah messages contained in the novel include messages of faith, moral messages, and also messages about worship (sharia) Keywords : Messages, Da`wah, and Novel

Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to determine the implementation of muhadharah activities at Insan Kamil Islamic Junior High School of Bengkulu City. What is the role of muhadharah activities in improving students’ lecture skiils of Insan Kamil School. The results of this study conclude that (1) the implementation of muhadharah is mandatory for all student, carried out in groups routinely every Friday after doing maghrib prayer. The implementation process starts from writing texts, memorizing, and delivering speeches. The agenda are: opening, reciting, the holly Qor’an and sholawat, main events, closing, and others. The rules for this activity include the regulations before and during the implementation. In this activity there is punishment (standing) and rewards (money and notebooks). The research method used in this study was descriptive qualitative research. The data collection techniques were trhough the observation, interviews, and documentation. The data sources were the primary data and the secondary data sources. Based on the results of the research it can be found that the muhdharah activities carried out at Insan Kamil Islamic School are not only giving speeches but using rules of conduct, events with MCs, reading the Qor’an, taking the core material by all the participants and also there is an entertainment. The muhadharah avtivities at Insan Kamil Islamic School are very helpful in developing the self-potential possessed by Insan Kamil Islamic Junior High School students in developing the lecture skills in front of friends and public, and training the students’ mentality. Abstract

ABSTRACT This study aims to explain obstacles and experiences experienced by Minangkabau ethnic student who experience culture shock while studying outside their home area, aspecially in Bengkulu which has many tribes including the Rejang, Serawai, Pasemah, Lembak, and Pekal. Culture shock is a social phenomenon felt by nomads when they move and live in areas with different cultures. Culture shock occurs due to differences in perception between the original culture and the new culture. This research uses Minangkabau ethnic overseas students as the object of research, the method used is qualitative descriptive. This research explores the experiences and ways of communicating with Minangkabau ethnic students. Data was collected through in-depth interviews. The results showed several conclusions. First, Minangkabau ethnic students have obstacles in the language used, indicating that language differences are one of the main obstacles in communicating with the new environment. Second, there are differences in cultural behavior patterns between Minagkabau students and local culture. This research provides a better understanding of the barries and experiences of athnic minangkabau student who experienced culture shock. The result of this research can be the basis for developing strategies and supporting programs that facilitate the adatation and integration of overseas students in a new environment.
