Abstract

Investment is the investment of funds to earn profits in the future. The higher the expected rate of return, the higher the risk that will be faced. To minimize the level of risk and maximize the rate of return, an optimal portfolio is formed. The models that can be used to form an optimal portfolio are the Single Index Model and the Capital Asset Pricing Model (CAPM). This study aims to analyze the comparison of the optimal portfolio of Jakarta Islamic Index shares during the Covid-19 pandemic with the Single Index Model and CAPM and to measure the optimal portfolio performance formed by measuring indexes, namely Sharpe, Treynor, and Jensen. Based on the analysis of the optimal portfolio performance measurement shows that the optimal portfolio formed by the CAPM method has a better performance than the Single Index Model.

Abstract

Sumatra is located along the confluence line of the Indo-AustralianPlate and the Eurasian plate, which has high seismic activity. Theisland of Sumatra is prone to earthquakes which pose a considerabledanger, and one of the provinces on this island that is prone toearthquakes is the Province of West Sumatra. So it is necessary tostudy each earthquake characteristic in the Province of West Sumatraand its surroundings using K-Medoids Clustering analysis.Earthquake data used is tectonic earthquake data from December 1970to September 2021 with attributes: latitude, longitude, and magnitude. In this study, several clusters were tried, namely K=2, K=3, K=4, andK=5 using the Euclidean Distance. The most optimum cluster is K=2of 0.448072 using the Silhouette coefficient validation test, theepicenter was at 99.290E and -1.050S with a magnitude of 5.38 on theSR for the first group and the second group produced an epicenter at101.150E and -3.440S with a magnitude of 5.36 SR.

Abstract

Distribution of goods is very important for the company. In order to get a bigger profit, the company tries to deliver the goods in the most effective way possible. There are several warehouse locations and several destinations, with different shipping costs, so the distribution problem can be solved using transportation methods. There are many methods that can be used to determine the optimal solution to the transportation problem. In this study, the Lowest Supply Lowest Cost (LSLC) method was used to determine the initial solution and the Stepping Stone method was used to determine the optimal solution for the distribution of Bottled Drinking Water at PT. Anugerah Berkah Brothers, with the aim of minimizing transportation costs. Distribution problems at PT. Anugerah Berkah Brothers is an unbalanced transportation problem, because the amount of inventory is greater than the amount of demand. Based on the results of the discussion obtained that PT. Anugerah Berkah brothers can save transportation costs from before as much as 8% of the initial cost.

Abstract

The last survivor status of term life insurance is multiple life insurance whose benefits are paid by the insurance company to the heirs if all policyholders have died within a predetermined period of time. The risk of death of a married couple is usually assumed to be independent of each other. But in fact there is a relationship between the risk of death for the couple. The method that can be used to determine the premium for married couples with the assumption of independence is the GFGM-Type II Copula method. The purpose of this study is to determine the formulation of the last survivor term life insurance premium using the GFGM-Type II Copula method. The results obtained from this study are the formulation of the last survivor term life insurance premium using the GFGM-Type II Copula method. Based on the simulation results, it is concluded that the last survivor term life insurance premium calculated with the assumption of independence is smaller than using GFGM-Type II copula Copula.

Abstract

Rice production is one of the results of farming which is carried out by planting rice seeds, care and maintenance and regular fertilization. While the harvest land is a plant that is harvested after the plant is old enough. Harvested land affects rice production, if the harvested area is decrease then rice production will also decrease. For this reason, it is necessary to predict rice production and harvested land in the province of West Sumatra using a discrete time Markov chain. This research aims to determine the shape of the Markov chain model and the prediction results of rice production and harvested land in the province of West Sumatra for the period January 2021 to December 2021. The results showed that the opportunities for rice production in a row were drastically decreased, decreased, increased and drastically increased by 23,28%, 17,46%, 35,46% and 23,80%. Meanwhile, the opportunities of harvesting land in a row were that drastically decreased, decreased, increased and drastically increased by 23,47%, 16,90%, 38,50% dan 21,13%.

Abstract

BSL Store is one of the Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in Tangerang Regency. The UKM produces various types of footwear, including leather shoes, sports shoes, casual shoes, and sandals. In order to increase sales profits and avoid product buildup resulting from a decline in market demand. BSL Store needs to optimize the amount of production to maximize profits or minimize losses by using the Branch and Bound and Cutting Plane methods in solving linear integer programming problems. Based on the research, we get the same results for Branch and Bound method and the Cutting Plane method. BSL Store must produce 531 pairs of leather shoes, 744 pairs of sports shoes, 676 pairs of casual shoes, and 826 pairs of sandals get an optimum profit of Rp.62,080,000.00 it means that these two methods can be used by BSL Store in determining the amount of production BSL Store.

Abstract

Gender differences are closely related to human development. Where gender is not the main determinant to achieve gender equality in human development which is the main focus in this regard. An index that is used to measure human success in seeing disparities that occur based on gender is often referred to as the Gender Development Index (GDI). The important objective of this research is to form a model that best describes the factors that have the most significant influence on the Gender Development Index (GDI) of West Sumatra Province in 2017-2020 with panel data regression analysis. At the significance level of 5% the factors that have a significant effect are the average length of schooling and at the significance level of 15% the factors that have a significant effect are the expectation of school years and the level of labor force participation rate.

Abstract

Nomophobia is a psychological disease that causes a person to feel dependent on smartphones. In this study, a mathematical model of the spread of nomophobia will be formed. The purpose of the formation of this mathematical model is to provide an overview of the spread of nomophobia. The method used in this study is a descriptive method, namely, analyzing theories regarding the problems discussed. Based on the results of the analysis of the mathematical model of the spread of nomophobia, two fixed points are obtained, namely the disease-free fixed point and the endemic fixed point. Next, the stability of the fixed point will be determined, which shows that the disease-free fixed point is asymptotically stable, while the endemic fixed point is asymptotically stable if βπ>(δ+μ)(γ+μ). The simulation results for the disease-free fixed point show that at a certain time the disease will disappear, while for the endemic fixed point it shows that at a certain time the disease will outbreak if the rate of interaction between susceptible individuals and individuals infected with nomophobia is higher than the rate of individuals who have self-control and individual doing therapy.

Abstract

Export is the activity of selling goods and services produced domestically to foreign countries. Meanwhile, import is the activity of purchasing goods and services made abroad into the country. If the value of exports and imports experiences instability, the country's economy will also experience instability which will have an impact on the country's income. For this reason, it is necessary to describe the comparison of the value of exports and imports in the province of West Sumatra according to the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) using profile analysis. This research aims to determine the class of goods according to the Standard International Trade Classification (SITC) which is optimal using profile analysis. In the profile analysis, a comparison of the average value of exports and imports is carried out using the parallelism test, the overlap test and the level test and continued testing for each variable. The results of the tests that have been carried out are that the item code 4 (vegetable and animal oil/fat) has developed well.
