Abstract

The Batang Regency Library is one of the places that is often visited by the local community. Analysis of library visiting patterns and predicting the number of visitors is very important to do, because this is the basis for planning effective policies for stakeholders to make librarians feel comfortable. The purpose of this study was to predict the number of visitors to the Batang Regency Regional Library in 2023. The Chen-Hsu Fuzzy Time Series method was used in this study because it provides a MAPE value which can provide easier proof of accuracy compared to other methods. The results showed that visitors to the Batang Regency regional library from 2018-2022, there was a decrease in 2021 to 2022, and according to forecasting results using the Fuzzy Time Series Chen-Hsu method, visitors to the Batang Regency Regional library did not change from the previous year and had an average average MAPE 15.56%, so the level of accuracy is good.

Abstract

Investment is an activity to hold a number of funds with the aim of gaining future profits, one of which is by investing in the Islamic capital market. Islamic capital market instruments that can be used are shares. Stocks are known to have the characteristics of high risk and high return, not only bringing high profits but also carrying high risks. One of the measuring tools that can be used to measure risk is Value at Risk because it can estimate the maximum possible loss that can occur on a single asset at a certain level of confidence. The purpose of this study is to estimate the optimal risk obtained by using Value at Risk with Monte Carlo Simulation. The data used in this study is the closing price of shares of PT Telekomunikasi Indonesia, Tbk which is listed in the Jakarta Islamic Index (JII). Based on research using initial investment funds of 100,000,000.00, IDR the value of Value at Risk is -3,620,898.95 IDR at an error level of 1%, -2,709,707.70 IDR at an error level of 5% and -2.120.418.85 IDR at an error level of 10. %.

Abstract

The retired fund program is a program created by the government to ensure the needs and welfare of workers in old age, one of which is government employees. The problem of retired government employees in Indonesia is one of the burdens for the government, this is because retired funds are carried out using a pay as you go system. Retired fund management can also be managed using a fully funded system, where the implementation of a fully funded system can be carried out using the Projected Unit Credit Constant Dollar and Constant Percent methods. The calculation results show that the normal contribution using the Constant Percent method has increased significantly before entering retirement age compared to the Constant Dollar method. The amount of actuarial obligation using the Constant Dollar method is greater than using the Constant Percent method. Retired benefits obtained by retirees using the Constant Dollar method are greater than the Constant Percent method.

Abstract

Boarding house is primary needs for collage students who migrate. Each student has a different of preference in determining a place to stay or boarding house. This study aims to determine the combination of attribute levels from the level of preference of Padang State University students in choosing boarding houses in North Padang District.  The attributes used in this study are the distance to the boarding house, the rental price, and the boarding facilities The data analysis technique used is conjoint analysis.  The results showed that the combination of attribute levels that students preferred most in choosing a boarding house was a boarding distance of  km, the price range of boarding from IDR  to IDR and facilities of boarding prioritizing is Wi-Fi. Meanwhile, the combination of attribute levels that students dislike choosing a boarding house are boarding distances  km, the prices of boarding  IDR, and no facilities. The most important attribute for Padang State University students in choosing a boarding house is the boarding facility attribute because it has the highest relative importance value of 39.4%.

Abstract

The Covid-19 vaccination rate in Nagari Paninjauan, Agam Regency is still relatively low. Some of the factors that cause it include congenital diseases, fear of side effects, effectiveness of vaccines, and halalness of vaccines. The purpose of this study was to identify the factors that influence people's willingness to be vaccinated. The population in this study amounted to 500 respondents. The sample in this study amounted to 83 respondents obtained using the Cluster Random Sampling method. The community's willingness to be vaccinated against covid-19 as a variable (Y) and science (X_1), worries(X_2 ), hoaxes (X_3), application of health protocols (X_4), profession (X_5), coercion for work (X_6), age (X_7),  gender (X_8) as the independent variable in the model fit. The results showed that the binary logistic regression model which is π(x)=(exp (-17,171+2,760x_1-2,813x_3+3,778x_7+3,546x_8 ))/(1+exp⁡((-17,171+2,760x_1-2,813x_3+3,778x_7+3,546x_8 )), where science, hoaxes, age, and gender have a significant effect on people's willingness to be vaccinated against covid-19..

Abstract

A partition of a positive integer n is a non-increasing sequence of finite positive integers such that the sum is equal to n. One thing that is studied by some researchers in integer partition is binary partition. A binary partition of a positive integer n is a non-increasing sequence of finite positive integers that are powers of 2 and sum to n. The number of binary partitions of n is denoted by b(n) and is called the binary partition function. In this study, we provides a combinatorial interpretation of a congruence of binary partition functions modulo 2. The interpretation involves dividing all binary partitions of n into two sets with the same cardinality using a bijective function that maps binary partitions satisfying certain conditions to binary partitions satisfying other conditions.

Abstract

Cardamom is one of the potential commodities in the international market. Cardamom is a valuable spice plant that can be used in various ways, where the price of dried cardamom is among Rp.90,000 to Rp.110,000 per kilogram. According to horticultural fixed figures, the harvested area of cardamom increased to 857,190 hectares in 2000-2006 and then decreased to 541,290 hectares from 2007-2010.Therefore, a comparison of productive land area with the amount of cardamom production in West Sumatra is needed using profile analysis. The profile analysis compared the average land area values of cardamom production and production using parallel tests, squeezed tests and level tests. The results obtained are the average area of productive land and the amount of production in the districts of Padang Pariaman, Agam, Lima Puluh Kota, Pasaman, West Pasaman, Padang City, Padang Panjang, Bukit Tinggi and Payakumbuh aligned, squeezed and level, so it can be said that the use of productive land in the area is optimal.

Abstract

Determining roots of non-linear equation are often problem in mathematics and engineering. In general, these non-linear equations will appear in  complex form that make difficult to solve analytically, so assistance of numerical methods is needed to determining the roots. One of the numerical methods that can be used including Newton-Raphson’s Method,  Jarratt’s Method, and Householder’s Method. However, the drawback of these methods are their low order of convergence. Predictor Corrector Jarratt-Householder Iterative Method is a method that arises due to the shortcomings of these methods. The purpose of this research is to study how the process of construction of Predictor Corrector Jarratt-Householder Iterative Method , making algorithm, and finding the order of convergence. The numerical simulation test results with several functions show that Predictor Corrector Jarratt-Householder Iterative Method can finds roots faster than Newton-Raphson’s Method, Jarratt's Method, and Householder's Method.

Abstract

Transportation problems is a problem of distributing goods from several sources (supply) to several destinations (demand) with the aim of minimizing distributing costs. The purpose of this study was to determine the optimum cost and optimum allocation in the distribution of subsidized fertilizers at PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda West Sumatra. This type of research is a type of applied research. The method used in this research is the Revised Version of ASM method which is one of the transportation methods to solve the unbalanced transportation problem with fewer iterations. Base on the result of this study, using the Revised Version of ASM Method, obtained optimum allocation and transportation costs of  IDR 711.072.000. Previously, PT. Pupuk Iskandar Muda spent transportation costs of IDR 913.007.000, so the company experienced a 22.12% reduction in costs.

Abstract

Life insurance is the payment of money given from the death of insured to the heirs according to the provisions of the polis. The are four types of life insurance, namely whole life insurance, term life insurance, and endowment life insurance. The amount of compensation obtained depends on the amount of premium paid. The benefit of paying premiums is as preparation for the payment of the sum assured. The company needs to prepare a reserve fund called a premium reserve which is needed to cover claims of insurance participants that can occur at any time. There are several ways to calculate premium reserves, one of which can be used is the premium sufficiency method. Finding out how to calculate premium reserves using the premium sufficiency approach is the goal of this study. The calculation of reserves using the premium sufficiency method uses a gross premium which can provide a clear indication of the total cost required and the amount of reserves that the insurance company must provide.
