Media Ekonomi is published by Lembaga Penerbit Fakultas Ekonomi dan Bisnis (LPFEB) Universitas Trisakti. Since 2002, three times a year, (April, August, and December). This journal was accredited by Dikti of 2005-2008, and start from 2016, we change the publication frequency to twice a year (April and October). The aim of Media Ekonomi to disseminate research result in economics. This journal did not give limitation on research method, both of quantitative and qualitative can be accepted and the data from primary, secondary, and literature review. The article that was submitted can be used Bahasa or English. The decision for acceptance depends on blind review results. Several criteria to be accepted are: originality, novelty, proper research method and give real contribution for theory development, or future research or practitioners. This journal is Open Access journal. This journal allows readers to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search or link to the full texts or its articles and to use them for any other lawful purpose.

Abstract

Investment in capital investment which is excessively done by companies or individuals in countries Southeast Asia. Investment which typically done is an investment in the capital market. By investing in these capital markets, it can raise particular country’s economic activity where share is one of the instruments of capital market. Many investors prefer this instrument in investing due to the attractive shares advantage. The movement of share prices changes every day, and observing the movements is essential by the investors. The information that can be observed by the investors in observing the movements of share prices is the joint share price index in a country. This research aims to analyze influence the macroeconomic variables towards share price index in some Southeast Asia countries, namely Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines and Singapore from 2003 to 2013. This research employs panel data analysis to determine the variables which affect share prices in four Southeast Asian countries. The variables that affect the share price index are the interest rate, IHK, and GDP. Based on the panel data analysis, it is shown that the interest rate gives negative effect and significant towards the share price index of four countries in Southeast Asia, IHK gives negative effect and not significant towards the share price index of countries in Southeast Asia, and GDP gives positive effect and not significant towards the share price index of countries in Southeast Asia.

Abstract

Foreign direct investment (FDI) has been the important ASEAN's growth economic source, bring the capital investment, technology, and management's knowledge which conduct for economic growth. The purpose of this research is to know the dominant factor which determine the magnitude of the foreign investment in ASEAN-5 2001-2103 period. The country which reseaerched is five of ASEAN country that are, Indonesia, Vietnam, Singapore, Thailand and Malaysia. From this research, the most determining factor of FDI value in a significant manner for a whole ASEAN, so it can give suggestion policy which appropriate to pull FDI. By using panel data analysis and software STATA 12 it help seen that  the factor which influence of FDI in  ASEAN-5 are Growth of  GDP, inflation, and trade openness. The Research which use annual data from Worldbank, Bank of Indonesia and IMF. The result of the research conclude that independent variable of Growth of  GDP and Trade Openness all of that is significant for explain FDI since p-score from t-statistics which less from five percent and thus have FDI influence in ASEAN-5.

Abstract

This research aims to understand how the influence of the investment and labor against the economic growth of industrial sector in the Province of West Java. The analysis technique which use in this research is regretion of panel data analysis. The data which use is GDP (Gross Domestic Product) industry sector, investment industrial sector, and the number of labors in the industrial sector from 2009 to 2013. This data consists of time series data (2009-2013) and cross section data (25 cities / regencies in West Java Province). Based on the analysis of panel data, the variable of investment and variable of labor have positive and significant impact on economic growth in the industrial sector in the Province of West Java.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the relationship between Foreign Direct Invesment, Gross Fixed Capital Formation, Trade Openness to economic growth in nine ASEAN countries, and to compare the factors that determinae the movement and economic growth ini nine countries ASEAN. The variables used invlude foreign direct investment, gross fixed capital formation, trade openness and Growth of Gross Domestic Product of each country. The method used in this thesis is the regression method Panel . Results of the study showed an overall variable Foreign Direct Investment and Gross Fixed Capital Formation had significant results . If seen from the results of the model for pernegara Foreign Direct Investment have the significant results in the state of Singapore . Gross Fixed Capital Formation have the significant results in the state of Singapore, Thailand, Philippines and Cambodia. To have the variable Trade Openness significant results at the state of Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philippines, and Cambodia.

Abstract

Banks as institutions of trust are not only needed or beneficial for individuals and society as a whole but also play a role in the growth and economic development of a country. In addition, banks can also help facilitate transaction, production and consumption activities through their functions as institutions that carry out payment traffic. Similarly, banks also play a role in implementing monetary policy. The effectiveness of monetary policy can work well influenced by the health and stability of the banking business. This study wants to see the effect of financial ratios on the number of profit sharing of mudharabah deposits in Islamic banks by using the bank's financial ratio variables, namely Liquidity Ratio in the form of FDR and Current Ratio, Solvency Ratio (Capital) in the form of CAR, Earning Ratio (Earning) in the form of ROA and ROE, and Business Efficiency Ratios in the form of NIM and BOPO at BSM in 2006-2013. The method used is a descriptive method and hypothesis testing. Hypothesis testing method, using multiple linear regression (multiple regression). The model used will be estimated using the Ordinary Least Squares (OLS) model and the Classic Assumption Test. The results of this study are the Ratio of Liquidity, Solvability, Profitability, and Efficiency of Business significantly influence the amount of profit sharing of mudharabah savings
