Abstract

The World Health Organization (WHO) estimates that 15% - 20% of pregnant women experience complications. If this problem does not receive adequate treatment, pregnancy complications can contribute to maternal mortality, therefore detecting from the beginning the presence of abnormalities, complications, and complications of pregnancy must be carried out proactively by both health workers and the community, one of them by the health cadres. This study aims to determine the relationship between motivation, supervision, education and training on the ability of the health cadres in the promotion of health of pregnant women. The study was conducted on 7 February to 6 May 2016. This research was an explanatory study with quantitative research methods using a cross-sectional approach. The number of samples was 269 active health cadres. The sampling technique is multi-stage cluster random sampling. Independent variables include motivation, supervision, education and training. The dependent variable is the ability of the health cadres to promote the health of pregnant women. Data collection using a questionnaire, data analysis using Path Analysis. Factors related to the ability of the health cadres in the promotion of health promotion for pregnant women include: motivation (b = 0.68, 95% CI = 0.16 to 1.42, p = 0.01); supervision (b = 1.11, CI 95% = 0.58 to 1.65, p = 0.001), education and training (b = 0.88, 95% CI = 0.36 to 1.21, p = 0.001). Factors related with motivation include: supervision (b = 0.61. 95% CI = 0.13 to 1.11, p = 0.01); education and training: (b = -0.04, 95% CI = -0.52 to 0.44, p = 0.86). df = 1; AIC = 707.81; BIC=732.29. There is a relationship between motivation, supervision, education and training with the ability of health cadres to promote the health of pregnant women. Supervision is the most related factor. Supervision is related to motivation, good supervision will increase the motivation of health cadres, while education and training relate to motivation, health cadres with good education and training, reduce motivation in health promotion, but not statistically significant.

Abstract

The number of new chronic renal failure patients with hemodialysis therapy continues to increase from year to year in Indonesia. The number of new patients by 2015 is 21050 patients and the number of active patients is 30554 from 249 units of hemodialysis. The quality of life of hemodialysis patients has decreased in physical, psychological, social and environmental dimensions. Mind-body-spirit therapy (Concepts of Islam) focuses on the ability to manage the mindset and psychic that will affect the physical, attitudes and behavior of individuals in addressing their lives. Giving mind-body-spirit therapy to hemodialysis patients to improve quality of life, given for 4 weeks with the frequency twice a week. Pre- experimental study with one group pre-test post-test. The sample of 23 patients with hemodialysis therapy taken by purposive sampling. The WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire was used in this study. Early screening on quality of life was taken in 23 patients (13 men and 10 women, mean age 51.5 years). Mind-body-spirit therapy (Islamic concept) consisted of Tausiyah (cognitive reconstruction), prayer, dhikr and drinking zam-zam water. The quality of life score was evaluated at week 5 after 4 weeks of treatments. All four dimensions of quality of life and quality of life were generally analyzed using Wilcoxon with significant results p 0.05. After the treatments, there is an increase in the quality of life in the physical, psychological, social, environmental, and general quality of life in hemodialysis patients. A mind-body-spirit therapy of 4 weeks is effective for improving the quality of life of patients with chronic renal failure with hemodialysis therapy.

Abstract

World Health Organization (WHO) found the number of Cesarean Section delivery in the world at 25.7% in 2004-2008 which was 27.3% in Asia, 19.0% in Europe, 29.2% in Latin America and the highest number was in China at the rate of 46.2% (Wang, Hellerstein, Hou, Zou, Ruan, Zhang, 2017). Rates determined by WHO for each country were 10-15% (WHO, 2015). WHO (2015) stated that the causative factor that can be delivered by Cesarean section is when vaginal delivery may have a risk to the mother and baby such as taking too much time for delivery and fetal disorders. Another cause was because of abnormal position. This study aims to determine the relationship between mother’s demand and Cesarean section delivery at PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Bantul. The type of research used in this study is quantitative research with Cross Sectional approach using secondary data, namely medical record data of PKU Muhammadiyah Hospital Bantul in 2017. Chi-Square with P value 0.05 and CI 95% was used as data analysis. The bivariate results obtained were mother’s demand associated with delivery of Cesarean section with p value of 0.000 which means that the mother's demand had a significant relationship with the section Cesarean delivery. Based on the analysis of health technology assessment (HTA), the selection efforts at Cesarean section delivery were very beneficial for the mother and family, in terms of maternal health, economy and other factors.

The research method uses a qualitative approach, a type of descriptive analytic research, a cross sectional approach. The subjects of this research were adolescents who accessed information about HIV and AIDS using the internet for at least the last 6 months and were willing to become respondents. Sampling techniques using purposive sampling. The results show that knowledge about HIV and AIDS is still lacking, especially in the signs and symptoms and transmission of HIV and AIDS, there is still a stigma against people with HIV and AIDS. All informants said that using the internet on their own initiative, most of the informants said that using the internet was approximately 2-5 hours a day, on average using the internet more than 2 years ago. Abstract

Stress in elderly institution residents is an interesting phenomenon to study. Sustained stress in the elderly can be harmful and cause mental and physical health problems. Hypertension is one of the physical health problems that can result from stress. Nursing Intervention Classification 2013 recommends the use of Meditation Therapy to address the problem. Meditation is a self-directed exercise to relax and calm the mind, besides that meditation is an easy and inexpensive activity. This certainly provides benefits for the institution in caring for the elderly. Less information on meditation therapy, challenging nurses to perform scientific verification.Scientific proof of reduced stress and blood pressure in elderly groups at the Balap Pelayanan Tresna Werdha (BPSTW) in Yogyakarta This research is a quasy experiment with pretest and posttest with control group. The treatment group was given meditation therapy for 7 times a week, while the control group was not given treatment. Respondents were selected using simple random sampling. Stress measurement using the DASS (Depression Anxiety Stress Scale) and blood pressure were measured using a digital sphygmomanometer. The stress in intervention group of elderly after being treated results decreased by 1.8, whereas in the control group it increased by 0.029. The systole blood pressure in the intervention group of elderly decreased 6.257 mmHg and 0.457 mmHg in the control group. When the elderly diastole blood pressure in the intervention group experienced an average decrease of 3.4 mmHg, while in the control group it increased by 1.057 mmHg. Conclusion: Meditation therapy is significant for reducing stress and blood pressure in the elderly at the Balai Pelayanan Tresna Werdha (BPSTW) in Yogyakarta
