Abstract

This study is aimed to investigate the efficiency level of national organization of Zakat management (OPZ) in 2013 by applying Data envelopment analysis method and intermediation as well as production approach. The result shows that national zakat organizations management,  Badan Amil Zakat Nasional, Dompet Dhuafa, Laziz Nahdlatul Ulama, and Pos Keadilan Peduli Ummat (PKPU), have efficient performance based on the efficiency measurement. Baznas and Dompet Dhuafa, based on the production approach measurement, showing an inefficiency in term of operational cost variable, personnel cost, ziswaf socialization cost, and the distributed ziswaf fund.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze consumption behavior of students of Department of Islamic Economics of University of Islam Indonesia, particularly class of 2012, whether it is in accordance with the Islamic perspective or not and how the students’ social environment does affect the consumer behavior. This study applies descriptive quantitative analysis which is done by choosing 50 respondents aged between 20-24 year old as sample based on Purposive Sampling method. The writer also uses questionnaires in gathering the data and double linear analysis technique in processing the data. In this study, the writer finds that the consumer behavior of the Ekis FIAI UII students, particularly class of 2012, has actually been in accordance with the principle of aqidah, amaliyah, and spirituality, even though it has not yet represented the simple and modest principle. According to ‘t’ test, it shows that the adherent group variable has no significant influence to the Islamic consumer behavior of the 2012 Ekis students since the value of ‘t’ is smaller than the table of ‘t’, which is 0.728 < 2.011. The value of ‘t’ of the family variable is about 2.506, meaning that family has significant impact towards Islamic consumer behavior. From the independent variables, it is found that the adherent and family variable do not significantly influence the Islamic consumer behavior. The adjusted R square is 0,133, meaning that 13,3% of the Islamic consumer behavior of 2012 Ekis students is affected by family.

Abstract

This article analyses financial planning for students who studying Islamic economic two universities in Yogyakarta, that is UIN Sunan Kalijaga and Universitas Islam Indonesia. This study is conducted by convenience sampling on 30 samples of each group.  The questionnaire is then distributed to collect data related to financial planning, knowledge, and control. The results show that 60 respondents (53% men) generally had low Islamic financial planning. Statistically there is no difference between the two groups of samples. In addition, this study also shows that financial knowledge variables statistically affect the financial planning of the students, while the control variables do not significantly influence it. However, both variables, the variable knowledge and control variables, significantly affect financial planning.

Abstract

This study is aimed to analyse the Islamic business ethics and how it affects the companies. The subject of the study is a home industry which process the milkfish in Pemalang, Central Java. The Islamic business ethics used are based on the five axioms, they are tawhid, balance, free desire, charity and responsibility. While the effects are measured by the six business progress parameters, they are marketing aspect, management aspect, human resources aspect, law aspect, social aspect, environment effect aspect and financial aspect. The data collection of the study is done by the qualitative descriptive approach. The result of the study shows that generally the company has applied the Islamic business ethics based on the referred five axioms. Besides, the Islamic business ethics application on the company also has effects on the six aspects of the company business progress.

Abstract

This research has aimed to provide the empirical evidence from the impacts of market share of depositor funds, market share of financing, Total Equity and Size to the profitability (ROA) of Sharia commercial banks in Indonesia. Data used in this paper is secondary data panel with the samples are 4 Sharia commercial banks in Indonesia and in the period of 2010-2015. Data had been analyzed using the data panel regression. According to the result of research, it can be concluded that market share of depositor funds, Total equity and Size have positive and significant impacts to ROA, while the market share of financing has a negative and insignificant relationship to ROA.
