PUSTAKALOKA: Jurnal Kajian Informasi & Perpustakaan is a peer-reviewed journal taken from the library of IAIN Ponorogo on Information and Library Science. PUSTAKALOKA is published twice annually (June and December) by the journal editors from the Library IAIN Ponorogo in cooperation with the Asosiasi Perpustakaan Perguruan Tinggi Islam (APPTIS) Jawa Timur. Every received article will be reviewed by the journal editors and external editors and reviewers who are competent in each related field. The review uses double-blind peer review before the journal is published. PUSTAKALOKA will publish selected paper under a Creative Commons Attribution ShareAlike 4.0 International License. And, every article is free of charge for authors and readers.

Abstract

To achieve good governance, library need an integrated quality control of allits elements. Consequently, the quality manual device for library activities is needed. Quality manual is a coordinated activities to direct, control and organize so that the quality or performance of library standard can be achieved. Quality manual is basically a concise statement of policies, objectives, and key processes. Library standard Operating Procedure (SOP) is part of quality standards  developed by the library. in general, preparation of SOP includes four steps, i.e. needs analysis, SOP, SOP development, SOP implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Therefore, it can procedure SOP concistenly appropriate to the needs to support the completeness of the integrated quality management in the libraries.

Abstract

The obvious sign of global era is information availability throughout the world. Therefore, everyone must become a literate person to reacha better life. Because life is personal progressive, every person shoould change and renew his personal quality to keep away from extinction. Besides, it is also influenced by many factors, such as cultural and structurl factors. however, nowadays we see a fact of lower reading habit that can effect on information literacy. For that reason, an effort to increase a higher reading habit  can be performed by three strategies, i.e. power strategy, persuasive strategy and normative-reeducaritve strategy.

Abstract

The stakeholders often unaware that interior design of library will impact on the interest of library user to visit the library. Convenience factor is support by other factors, such as aesthetically and functionally library service. The role of policy makers, librarians, consultants, interior designers and institution leaders must be involved in synergy to create a comfortable library with regard to the principles of libabry interior design.

Abstract

A book is not only a collection of papers that is written in word, but it is the message of life that could affect anyone who interacted with it, in accordance with the writer motivation and the reader condition. Ths article tries to study briefly how condition of the reader interacts with the book in the scope of humanity. yhe discussions through literature investigation and the writer experience personally are found in this article with many examples to make any closer to the topic that is discussed in the article.

Abstract

Information management is a concept that can be viewed differently depending on the context and application. management of information can be apllied to public or private sector, non profit organization or commercial enterprise. Similarly, in the context of library, although the main task of library which provide the access of information that contains knowledge and wisdom for its user is uncchanching, the task of managing information continnues to grow and change. the library deals with more challenging task to prepare precise information to its user at the right time and at the right moment for the right reasons and in the correct format as well. At this time the librarians and information managers in the library and information center should improve their capabilities in information management. Information management is very important. This paper discusses the concept of information, the concept of information management with several aspects in it, information managers in managing information in an effort to provide knowledge to its user.

Abstract

Problem of a quality of school education has always been an interesting theme for discussion. But one thing that is still unnoticed by the education experts is the problem of the role of libraries in schools. The library is important. Everyone acknowledges that, as well as importance of readning,. however people rarely think of how students are encouraged to like readning and make it as a culture. The education quality should be supported by an adequate library. Therefore, there must be a synergy among the various components of education in scholls to start readning habits from managing the library. This short article tries habits from how to empower the library that can  compel students to like reading very much so that it will impact undirectly on the improvement of education quality in school.

Abstract

Using digital library software should consider several things. For information providers (read; library), ease of installation and maintenance of a software deserves attenttion because the human resources (HR) that can controls the information and communication technology is still very limited. For information seekers (read: library user), a software capability in providing the most appropriate source of information about what he wants is a primary consideration. Greenstone Digital Library (GSDL) and Ganescha Digital Library (GDL) are two devices that decent alternatives to link these two desires.
