JTCIS (Journal of Telecommunication Control and Intelligent Systems) is a high-level academic series publication in theory in Control, Telecommunications, and Intelligent Systems covering antenna design engineering, telecommunications engineering, intelligent systems engineering, embedded control systems, and the Internet of Things. The book series invites academics, researchers and practitioners to submit articles and reports which are the result of work, research and studies oriented towards the application of information technology products for the development of society in general. JTCIS accepts each article in the form of pure research reports, technical reports from implementation experience in the field, systematic literature reviews, opinions from experts, experienced practitioners, and leaders, as well as counterarguments for specific positions.

Abstract

Almost everyone is still doing the activity of watering plants manually, by watering the plants one by one is quite time consuming and a waste of energy. Watering plants is an activity that is always done every day by almost everyone who has plants at home, office and elsewhere. The activity of watering plants manually cannot know how much water the plants need so many plants die from excess water. With the above problems, this paper contributes in designing an automatic plant sprinkler system. With the development of technology, it is easier to water plants. Technological advances include automatic plant watering, automatic plant watering equipment utilizing a microcontroller as the brain circuit that processes the entire circuit to be used for watering plants. The microcontroller is used to read sensor data in the form of a soil moisture sensor. The sensor is processed by the microcontroller using the Fuzzy algorithm. Mamdani's fuzzy knowledge can be used as a reference when the plants are watered or not to take the values of soil moisture and air temperature, so that the needs of aquatic plants can be met. This system can run automatically watering plants when the soil is dry,

Abstract

Abstract— Almost all television sets are equipped with a timer, but sometimes we ignore it. Due to falling asleep or suddenly being left behind, we forget to turn off the television which eventually turns on the television without anyone watching. In such a case, of course there is a waste of electricity. This article contributes to designing devices that can turn off the television when no one is watching without setting the timer that comes with the television first and portable devices for all television brands. The tool is designed using an AVR microcontroller with type AT90USB162. The PIR sensor is used to detect people in front of the television. The sensor data is processed using an AVR type microcontroller and connected to a relay to turn the television on and off. The device is designed to detect the movement of people in front of the television, so that the television turns on when people watch it.

Abstract

Electricity needs at PT. PUSRI is currently generated by four main generating units in the form of a Gas Turbine Generator (GTG). The three power plants are PUSRI-II (2006-J), PUSRI-III (3006-J), PUSRI-IV (4006-J) each with a capacity of 21.588kVA. PUSRI-IB (5006-J) with a capacity of 26.65kVA. Each unit is operated in parallel via a 13.8 kV syncronizing bus. However, for reasons of generator efficiency at PT. PUSRI with gas costs that are quite expensive will gradually be replaced by a Steam Turbine Generator – Coal (STG-BB) generator. The contribution of this paper uses the Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO) algorithm to find the optimum output (MW) from each generating unit. The results of the PSO calculation provide a better solution performance compared to the real system with the same generated power variation, namely 34.25 (MW) to 37.63 (MW). The cost savings obtained from the comparison between the PSO method and the real output of the system is Rp. 5,180.509 at load 34.25 (MW) and Rp. 6,416.864 at 37.63(MW) load.

Abstract

Fires often occur due to negligence in using a gas stove. This paper was created in response to the increasing number of fires and explosions in today's world due to gas leaks. Key objectives about gas detection systems, their challenges, and the impact of using homes and organizations for security purposes. The gas detection system is a solution to reduce fire hazards. The installation of a gas alarm detection system is expected to help protect people's homes, organizations, hospitals, industries and institutions, especially with recent technological developments. Gas detection systems help control and monitor our homes for gas leaks that result in outbreaks and explosions.

Abstract

Bank is a business entity engaged in finance, especially providing services in payment traffic and money circulation. Each bank has savings products with their respective advantages. Prospective customers who want to save definitely want quality and profitable savings. PT. Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk. Pekanbaru Branch Office is one of the banks that has many deposit products. There are several factors that influence the decision of prospective customers in choosing a deposit product, such as administrative fees, interest offered, minimum balance, and ease of transacting through e-channel services. A web-based expert system can be a solution to these problems because it has the same functions and knowledge as someone who must have, experience, to solve a problem and make decisions. The method used in this system is backward chaining. The basis of knowledge that contains facts and rules from this research is the name of the product and the criteria for the deposit product. This system uses the PHP programming language and uses a MySQL database as data storage. This system begins by asking several questions, analyzing customer needs according to the criteria for the deposit product and providing output product according to customer needs. With this system, it can make it easier for customers to determine what savings product choices are suitable for their needs and help BTN KC Pekanbaru customer service to make the account.
