Abstract

The Research Management Unit (RMU) of UiTM Terengganu currentlyoperated manually in recording all of their Research Assistantinformation. The limitations in keeping the record manually are that therecord may be lost due to human or environment disaster and thestorage to keep all the record also may expended as the record are keepincreasing. The Research Assistant Management System (RAMS) isdeveloped to help the administrative of the RMU in UiTM Terengganuto manage the Research Assistant information more effectively. Reportscan be generate easily using this system. The Rapid ApplicationDevelopment (RAD) model methodology is used in the development ofthe system. The methodology consist of five phases which arerequirement planning phase, user design phase, construction phase, cutover phase and lastly the documentation. This system have beendemonstrated to three expert users for the feedback and therecommendation. Besides that, user testing also conducted bydistributed the questionnaire to the 30 respondents. The result based onthe respondent analysis shows that the highest mean of perceive ofusefulness of the system is 4.167 (SD= 0.531). In conclusions, theRAMS will give more benefit to user when using it and hopefully it canhelp RMU to manage their Research Assistant information.

Abstract

Teaching is the main task of the lecturer besides research, consultancy and holding administrative post. Administrative postconsist of post that need to be held for either two (2) years or 1year depending on the job scope. Currently, there are difficultiesin assign post to lecturer. Beside, it is time consuming to trace thecurrent post of lecturer. In order to solve the current process, asystem known as Lecturer Committee Management System(LCMS) is proposed. LCMS can be used to propose and assignpost to lecturer and to track lecturer involvement history incommittee. The method use in the development of LCMS isRapid Application Development (RAD) model. Once thedevelopment process completed, expert evaluation and userevaluation have been conducted. For the expert there are a fewquestion that have been asked in order to improve the usabilityand functionality of the LCMS. For the user, there are sixconstruct provided in order to evaluate LCMS. The result showthat respondents agree LCMS is easy to use with the highestmean is 4 (SD=0.41). Lastly, as for the future enhancement newfeatures such as lecturer can get the notification about postassigned via phone.

Abstract

This paper attempts to discuss the findings based on the survey on therelationship between determinants that reflected their influence on thequality of life among the residents living in a small town nearby one ofthe largest oil based manufacturing industries in Malaysia. Samples ofthe study were represented among those residents from the teenagers upto the old population categories. For ensuring an appropriaterepresentation and adequate generalization, 306 questionnaires weredistributed in urban and rural area. While analyzing the relationship aswell as its impact, the study also examined possibility of differencesbetween several selected profiles with the quality of life. In order to getmore generalization from the pool of respondents, the further study maydo deeper analysis such as focus in sub group respondents, besidesobserving samples in a much larger group from other town or cities inMalaysia.

Abstract

In UiTM Terengganu, student attendance current manual processis based on Academic Affairs (HEA) criteria. Lecturer has tobring attendance sheet to each class and take student attendance. At the end of semester lecturer has to manually calculate andsend the report to HEA. Based on preliminary study, currentprocess causing inefficiency on processing reporting. In order toimprove the current process, Student Attendance System (SAS) isa system proposed to be developed for Universiti TeknologiMARA (UiTM) Terengganu. Lecturer is the primary users of thesystem. These allow user control, update, and view the attendancebased on session, course and group. SAS was developed withSystem Development Life Cycle based on Extreme Programming(XP). XP phases involve phase of select user stories for release, then break down stories to tasks, plan release, develop, release toevaluate it. Then, process is repeated until meet user requirement.System testing based on test plan has been conducted. As for theevaluation, the evaluation process is done by three (3) expertsthen comment and suggestion is produced. Results based onexperts evaluation shows that positive feedback from the expertswhere the development of SAS caters elements of ease of use, flow is easy to be understood and the system is consistent andfollow the standard As conclusion, SAS can be improved basedon comments and suggestions form experts and it has a bigpotential to be implemented in UiTM Terengganu.

Abstract

Nowadays, many companies use modern technology in the operationof their business. However, there are some companies that still use thetraditional way in processing their data and one of this is OrganizationA. The business process in Organization A is still using manual wayon monitoring daily transactions and managing an inventory. All thenecessary records of completed transaction are being filled in differentways such as log book, papers of letters and forms. Observation andinterviewed with the staf in charge has been conducted and there is aneed for Organization A to have a computerization system to lessentheir work: procedures and process flow; and can secure files andinformation within their business as the data will be save into thedatabase. An online system known as Inventory Control ProcessingSystem (ICProS) is developed to assist in establishing the monitoringprocess of the inventory in Organization A. Adapted Waterfall Modelhas been used in the system development process that consists of 5phases; planning, analysis, system design, system development andtesting. Evaluation has been conducted for 30 respondents and resultshows that respondents perceive ICProS as a useful system that can beimplemented in Organization A (Mean=3.99, SD=0.755). Result ofthe evaluation also indicate that there are some improvement needed(interface and feedback) before the system can be implemented.

Abstract

Kindergarten Registration Management System (KReMS) is a systemthat has been developed for one of the kindergarten in Dungun. Thissystem is proposed to be developed in order to help the management ofthe kindergarten to manage the registration process. The user for thissystem can be divided into four which are parent, admin, staff andteacher. KReMS basically have eight modules which are studentregistration, fees payment, generating report, announcement to parent, updating vacancies in the kindergarten, upload receipt and importantdocuments, update status, and record parent, staff and studentinformation. The methodology used to develop KReMS is RapidApplication Development (RAD). KReMS is evaluated by experts andusers. The evaluation of KReMS is done with four experts based on fivecriteria which are flow of the system, interface, efficiency, ease of use,and user experience. From this evaluation, the result shows that most ofthe experts agree that KReMS the interface of KReMS is attractive.Apart from that, user’s evaluation that involved 30 respondents has beenconducted. Questionnaire is distributed to the respondents and therespondents evaluated the system based on six constructs which areinterface, usability, efficiency, satisfaction, ease of use and userexperience. Result shows that most of the respondents agreed that thesystem will be able to improve the efficiency of their works with thehighest mean which is 4.36 (SD= 0.62). As for the future enhancement, one of features that can be added is ability of the system to recordstudent attendance

Abstract

Internet Protocol Digital Microwave Radio (IP DMR) is a significantimpact on the trunk mobile communication between platform. Thus, thegoal of downtime is a crucial problem especially in oil and gascompany. Based on the examines from the previous issues such asrelative costing based on previous hardware requirements and possibleimplementation, and upgrade that contribute to the long termcommunication flexibly on all radio in the platform system. This paperwill examine the downtime that affect the network by calculate thepropagation delay using SLA given and compare the SLA for DigitalMicrowave Radio (DMR) and Internet Protocol Digital MicrowaveRadio (IP DMR) that contribute to the process
