Abstract

Personal protective equipment (APD) is a tool that has a function to protect humans in the threat of contaminants caused by a job that has a potential risk of danger. This study aims to determine the behavior of using APD in the Laundry at X Hospital, Sidoarjo. This research method was descriptive through a cross sectional approach. The research variables were worker behavior related to knowledge, attitudes, facilities and infrastructure and supervision of the use of APD. The population of this study were 8 respondents from all workers in the Laundry. Determination of the sample of this study was total sampling technique. The data collection tools used in this study were questionnaires and observations. Data analysis was done descriptively. The results of the study showed that 87.5% of laundry good knowledge, 100% good attitude, 84% good infrastructure facilities, and 82% good supervision. Overall, the behavior of laundry was said to be well behaved. The conclusion of this study was the behavior of using APD for laundry is said to be well behaved. It is recommended to apply strict sanctions/punishments to laundry who do not use APD and tightened supervision to increase worker awareness in complying with regulations on the use of APD.

Abstract

Asemrowo merupakan kawasan padat penduduk dengan kondisi lingkungan buruk menjadi tempat berkembang biaknya nyamuk. Angka bebas jentik di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Asemrowo wilayah Tambak Pring Barat pada tahun 2019 sebesar 85% dengan kasus terkonfirmasi yaitu 9 kasus demam berdarah dengue. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah menganalisis implementasi program 3M Plus terhadap kejadian Demam Berdarah di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Asemrowo Kota Surabaya. Jenis penelitian ini termasuk menggunakan studi observasional terhadap pelaksanaan program 3M Plus dalam menanggulangi kejadian Demam Berdarah Dengue di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Asemrowo Kota Surabaya Tahun 2022. Variabel penelitian ini adalah keberadaan nyamuk Aedes, keberadaab jentik dan penerapan program 3M Plus. Teknik pengumpulan data ini melalui observasi dan wawancara Hasil keberadaan jentik pada tempat penampungan air di dalam rumah memperoleh hasil sebesar 46,3% sedangkan di luar rumah memperoleh hasil sebesar 56,3%. Angka bebas jentik di wilayah RT.08 RW.08 Kecamatan Asemrowo sebesar 92,6% dengan kategori tidak memenuhi syarat. Hasil yang diperoleh dari pelaksanaan program 3M Plus sebesar 58,5% dengan kategori baik. Penerapan program 3M Plus di wilayah kerja Puskesmas Asemrowo belum mencapai hasil yang optimal, karena sebagian responden belum menerapkan 3M Plus dengan baik.

Abstract

Industri pengolahan kayu berdampak negatif terhadap pencemaran udara yang disebabkan oleh debu yang timbul saat proses pengolahan atau hasil industri mebel. Pencemaran debu kayu berdampak terhadap kesehatan manusia khususnya gangguan fungsi paru. Hasil riset The Surveilans of Work Related and Occupational Respiratory Disease (SWORD) yang dilakukan di inggris ditemukan 3.300 kasus paru yang berhubungan dengan pekerjaan. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk menganalisis hubungan pajanan Particulate Matter (PM10) terhadap Kapasitas Vital Paru Pada Pekerja Bagian Produksi CV Delta Raya Kota Batu. Desain penelitian ini analitik observasional dengan desain cross sectional. Sampel pada penelitian berjumlah 17 responden dengan menggunakan teknik purposive sampling berdasarkan kriteria inklusi dan eksklusi. Analisa hasil penelitian menggunakan uji fisher exact. Berdasarkn hasil penelitian didapatkan konsentrasi PM10 tertinggi yaitu 0.012 mg/Nm3. Hasil pengukuran KVP paling banyak kurang dari 80%. Hasil dari PM10 dan Kapasitas Vital Paru berbanding lurus. Kedua variabel tersebut tidak memenuhi standart. Maka disarankan untuk menambahkan ventilasi udara atau exhause di ruang produksi, memperketat standart operasional prosedur penggunaan alat pelindung diri pada saat bekerja minimal masker respirator, serta mengganti membersihkan alat – alat yang produksi sebelum melakukan pekerjaan.

Abstract

Mosquitoes are vectors of disease and nuisance animals where Culex Sp mosquitoes are vectors of filariasis or elephantiasis. Vector control that has been carried out by the community generally uses chemical insecticides where if the use of chemical insecticides is carried out in the long term and continuously it can cause side effects on the environment, besides that it also causes resistance to the vector itself. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of the peel extract of plantain (Musa Paradisiaca var. Raja) as a larvicide on the mortality of Culex Sp. larvae. This research is an experimental research with The Static Group Comparassion Design. Total population and samples were 600 Culex Sp instar III larvae. The sampling method used random sampling method on Culex Sp instar III larvae or at the age of 3-4 days. Data analysis using Anova analysis using the STATA application. The results of the Anova test showed that there were differences in the mortality of Culex Sp with various doses of plantain peel extract (Musa Paradisiaca var. Raja), the highest effectiveness was 84% with an average mortality of 21 Culex Sp larvae, the conclusion of the study from probit analysis with an LC50 (Lethal Concentration) value of 2,969% and the most effective dose to kill Culex Sp larvae was at a dose of 8%.

Abstract

Chemicals and other materials in the form of jasad renik and viruses are used to prevent or eradicate pests that can damage plants. They are usually called pesticides. Some plants or agricultural products that stimulate plant growth kill some plants without fertiliser and prevent unwanted growth. Severe poisoning refers to low-level long-term effects or exposure to toxic substances, such as frequent spraying of pesticides during dangerous spraying times. The effects of chronic exposure do not appear immediately after the first exposure; it takes a long time for symptoms to appear. Plaosan is one of the villages and sub-districts in Magetan district where part of the population works as vegetable farmers. The population in Plaosan village is 5,678 people spread over 5 hamlets, namely Gulun, Duwet, Kauman, Sale, and Kandenan. To increase optimal agricultural yields, farmers in agricultural intensification usually use pesticides. Pesticides continue to accumulate in the body and slowly damage the tissues. People who are frequently exposed to this pesticide at low doses may suffer from symptoms of poisoning long after their initial exposure. Chronic symptoms include chronic oral inhalation poisoning and chronic skin contact. This research uses a descriptive type of research. Descriptive research is a study that describes the magnitude of the problem under study. Descriptive research is research with the main objective of making an objective picture or description of a situation. This study aims to determine the risk factors for subjective complaints of pesticide poisoning of vegetable farmers in the work area of the Plaosan Health Centre in terms of individual factors, behaviour, environment, and pesticide use. The results of this study regarding the risk factors of subjective complaints All farmers experienced complaints of severe, moderate, and mild health complaints, including headaches, dizziness, nausea, vomiting, a weak body, nervousness, trembling, blurred vision, sweating a lot, a fast heart rate, and difficulty breathing.
