Abstract

This study aims to obtain empirical evidence related to market reactions indicated by abnormal returns around the time of the 2016-2019 merger and acquisition announcement. The population in this study are companies listed on the Indonesia Stock Exchange that have conducted mergers and acquisitions. The sampling technique uses purposive sampling, the data obtained by 12 companies, namely 3 companies do mergers and 9 companies make acquisitions. Data analysis techniques in this study were one sample test method Kolmogorv-Smirnov test, paired sample t-test test, and one sample t-test using SPSS application version 25. The results of this study showed: During the 11 days study period, there were average abnormal return negative that insignificant for 7 days and average abnormal return positive that also insignificant for 4 days around the announcement time of the company’s mergers and acquisitions. These insignificant test results prove that the market was not approved during the period before and after mergers and acquisitions.

Abstract

The aim of this research is to find out the influence of compensation and motivation on work performance of the employees of PT DIPA Pharmalab Intersains Jakarta. The population of this research is the employees of PT DIPA Pharmalab Intersains Jakarta and the sample consists of 100 respondents. The sampling technique used in this research is purposive sampling. The data collection technique includes interview and self-report questionnaire. The data is analyzed by using statistical techniques including multiple linear regression, F-test, T-test and determinant coefficient. The result of the analysis suggests that simultaneously compensation and motivation influence the employees’ work performance. Partially, motivation influences the employees’ work performance, and whereas compensation does not.

Abstract

This study aims to find out whether the differences entrepreneurial interests in five university students Yogyakarta seen from the use of social media that include the intensity of use social media, the number of social media (number of accounts and number of types) and the types of social media that are most often used. In this research, researchers use 100 respondents who come from Gadjah Mada University, Sunan Kalijaga State Islamic University, Sanata Dharma University, Atma Jaya Yogyakarta University and Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa University. The data collection technique used in this research is incidental sampling technique. The analysis technique used in this research is independent sample t-test and one way ANOVA. The results of this study indicate that there is no difference in the entrepreneurial interests in Yogykarta, judjing from the use of social media.

Abstract

This research aims to identify: 1) Attractiveness, Trustworthiness, and Expertise and buying interest in beauty vloggers, 2) The effect of attractiveness, trustworthiness, and beauty vlogger expertise simultaneously on buying interest in beauty products, 3) Effect of attractiveness, trustworthiness, and beauty expertise vloggers in a partial (individual) interest in buying beauty products. Data were collected using a questionnaire. The sample used in this study amounted to 100 respondents. Data analysis techniques used to test hypotheses are multiple linear regression, F test and t test. the results showed that 1) attractiveness beauty vlogger was classified as very good, trustworthiness beauty vlogger was classified as good, and beauty vlogger expertise was classified as very good, and buying interest was classified in the high category 2) Attractiveness, trustworthiness, expertise of beauty vlogger simultaneously affected the product buying interest beauty, 3) Attractiveness beauty vlogger partially has no effect on buying interest, trustworthiness and expertise of beauty vloger partially influences the buying interest of beauty products.

Abstract

This research aims to identify psychological characteristics, entrepreneurial attitudes and entrepreneurial intentions on students of five universities in Yogyakarta and explain how pychological characteristics affect entrepreneurial intentions which is mediated by entrepreneurial attitudes. Population in this research is all students of Universitas Gadjah Mada, Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Kalijaga, Universitas Sanata Dharma, Universitas Atma Jaya Yogyakarta and, Universitas Sarjanawiyata Tamansiswa. Sampling method which is applied in this research is incidental sampling. 100 respondents participate in this research as the research subjects. However, only 98 out of 100 data can be analyzed further. The analysis technique employed in this research is path analysis operating SPSS 22.0 for windows. The result of this research indicates the effect of psychological characteristics on entrepreneurial intentions which is mediated by entrepreneurial attitudes.
