Abstract

Heavy metals in aquatic environments have been known to cause some damage to aquatic life. Pb metal is found in waste that pollute the waters. In modern life today many people have a habit of disposing of garbage disembarang place. Utilization of jengkol skin powder which is organic waste scattered in the traditional market can be used for the processing of liquid waste containing Pb metal. This research used experimental method by using Atomic Absorption Spectrophotometer which then analyzed statistically using two way ANOVA test without interaction. From the results of the study found that jengkol skin powder can absorb Pb metal that exists in the liquid waste in the surrounding environment. After statistical test with two- way ANOVA test without interaction, Pb metal absorption by jengkol skin powder with pH and mass ratio, then got value of F count (mass) = 3,763 and F value table = 98,50 while F value count (pH) = 0,812 with value F table = 99,00 with result Ha rejected and H0 accepted. From the results of this study can be concluded that there is no significant difference in the absorption of Pb logan using jengkol skin powder in pH and mass variations.

Abstract

Kampar District is traversed by two large rivers and several small rivers, including Kampar River which is ± 413.5 km long with an average depth of 7.7 m, and an average width of 143 m. Referring to Central Statistics Agency Kampar Regency (2015), Kampar residents numbered 703,005 people with a growth of 2.57% that exceeded the national population growth in 2010 of 1.49%. The Kampar Kanan River has a much larger flood impact than Kampar Kiri River because the majority of the population lives along the banks of the Kampar Kanan River. Areas that are always targeted need to be mapped in the form of flood vulnerability maps within Kampar regency. To map areas susceptible to flooding in Kampar District can be done using remote sensing data based on Geographic Information System (GIS). Analysis of the overlay map results as an indicator of flooding in 4 flood vulnerability classes in Kampar regency. Overlaid maps consist of Rainfall Map, Slope Map, Land Use Map and Geological Map, which resulted in the widest area in Kampar District in the prone category of 459,977.89 ha or 42.86% of the district area. The second sequence is in the non-vulnerable category 236,082.39 ha or 22.00%. While the order of the 3rd area is in very vulnerable category that is 219.279.54 ha or 20.43%, and the smallest area is in the safe category of 157,835.01 ha or 14.71% of Kampar Regency area.

Abstract

Diarrheal disease still became one of the public health problem, because it is the third contributor to the number of pain and death of children in various countries. Diarrheal disease in children is the most cases of the disease that exist in almost every hospital that type B than cases of other diseases. Cases of diarrhoea are recorded as much as 32.25% were children aged under two years. This research aims to know the factors associated with the incidence of diarrhea in toddlers. This research by using a quantitative approach with cross sectional design. The population is mempuanyai mother children aged 0 – 24 months hospitalized. With the samples as many as 60 people, the data collected through interviews with guide questionnaire, then processed in a computerized using statistical test chi-square. The results of the univariate analysis known 41.7% treated children aged 0-24 months experiencing diarrhea, 55.0% of the respondents have a good knowledge of about diarrhea, 53.5% of the respondents have a positive attitude-related diarrhea, 50.0% of the respondents have a good behavior about breast feeding and 55.0% havebehavior that is not well related awarding of MP-ASI. The result is there is no relationship Bivariat knowledge with the incidence of diarrhoea (p value = 0.148), there was no relationship attitude with diarrhea (p value = 0.484) and there is a relationship of the behavior of breast feeding (p value = 0.004) and MP-ASI giving of behavior with the incidence of diarrhoea (p value = 0.000). Expected to mothers who have children toddlers in order to pay attention to nutrition in breast feeding and giving of the MP-ASI is also about children's environmental health in General so that the children are spared from the disease.

Abstract

The presence of a final processing site (TPA) often creates a dilemma often causing air pollution. Pollution can occur in the air as a result of waste decomposition, it can also contaminate water and soil caused by leachate leakage that will impact on health problems, but it is necessary because it is also a material search for life for the society. Waste landfill caused by garbage dumps with a very large volume of volume so that it is deposited with rain water and produce a leachate water (water that deposited waste) causes the quality of water to be bad resulting in decreasing quality of water quality around. The purpose of this research is to know the heavy metal content of leachate water at TPA Muara Fajar Rumbai Pekanbaru. The study was conducted in June 2016 - December Place of sampling that is at TPA Muara Fajar Pekanbaru. Place to conduct a leachate water leachate analysis at UPT Testing Laboratory Office of Public Works of Riau Province. The method used in this research is survey, where the Muara Fajar Pekanbaru TPA is used as the sampling location. Samples taken then analyzed the heavy metal content (Pb, Cd, Cu) in the laboratory, then the data obtained were analyzed descriptively in accordance with SNI 06-2412-1991. The content of heavy metals cadmium (Cd) in leachate water in ponds 1 and 2 of 0.8 mg / ppm, while in pond 3 of 0.7 mg / ppm exceeded the predefined quality standard. The content of heavy metals copper (Cu) in leachate water in pond 1 of 3.1 mg / ppm, in pond 2 of 3 mg / ppm exceeded the predetermined quality standard and in pond 3 of 2.9 mg / ppm below the standard quality that has been set. The content of lead weight metal (Pb) in ponds 1 and 2 was 2.26 mg / ppm, while in pond 3 of 2.24 mg / ppm exceeded the predefined quality standard.

Abstract

Garbage is the rest of the daily activities of humans or natural processes in the form of solid. Specific waste is waste which due to its nature, concentration, or volume requires special management. The source of waste is the origin of waste dump. Variables to be studied have an influence on the separation of waste variables in the form of knowledge, attitude, action, socialization, and facilities. The method used in this research is quantitative with cross sectional study design. The purpose of this research is to know the factors that influence waste segregation in Sail market, Sail Sub-district, Pekanbaru City in 2017. The result of research is knowledge relation with waste selection with P = 0,009 OR = 5,11 (95% CI = 1,624- 16,083). There is a relationship of attitude with the selection of waste with the value of P = 0.017 OR = 4,463 (95% CI = 1,444-13,792), there is a correlation of action with waste selection with P value = 0.010 OR = 5,143 (95% CI = 1,610-16,430) , there is a socialization relationship with the selection of waste with the value of P = 0.022 OR = 4,364 (95% CI = 1,376-13,841), and there is a correlation of means with the selection of waste with value P = 0,001 OR = 7,393 (95% CI = 2,255- 24,232). Therefore, this study can be concluded that the variables of knowledge, attitude, action, socialization and facilities are very influential on the sorting of waste in Sail Market Pekanbaru City in 2017.
