Abstract

As a company grows, its activities and workforce also increase, making it difficult for management to control the company alone. One of the major obstacles faced by management is managing employee salaries, which can result in inaccuracies in calculating working hours, cutting salaries, calculating employee overtime, and paying salaries due to inaccurate data. The use of an information system can play a crucial role in controlling and preventing such errors. This study employed interviews with relevant parties and observations at PT Megaflex Pratama, as well as descriptive analysis techniques. The findings revealed that there are still ineffective elements of internal control in the payroll of PT Megaflex Pratama employees. These include the personnel department performing double work, submitting and paying salaries directly to employees, as well as entering attendance through an unsupervised fingerprint system without proper authorization.

Abstract

Feminist thought is focused on achieving equality between genders in political, social, and economic rights, particularly advocating for women's rights, with the aim of attaining gender equality across all aspects of society. This research utilizes qualitative methods and conducts a literature review, analyzing various books, magazines, and other relevant literature. The objective is to examine how feminism recognizes the unique circumstances that women face in their pursuit of freedom and justice. The research findings and conclusions emphasize the necessity of political support, allocation of human resources, and public participation in the ongoing fight for women's freedom and justice. However, it is evident that significant progress is still required. To address this, the research suggests the need for both vertical democratization of political structures and horizontal democratization to dismantle patriarchal systems.

Abstract

When preparing and reviewing a company's annual financial statements, it is crucial to engage an accountant who considers materiality and the risk of inaccuracy. The decision-making process is influenced by various factors, including performance expectations, task complexity, and gender-related aspects of masculinity and femininity. The pressure to adhere to regulations impacts accountants' work, involving inappropriate directives from supervisors and the intricate nature of their tasks, leading to potential dysfunction. Feminine qualities come into play when navigating the pressure to comply and the complexity of the auditing task. Women may exhibit qualities such as order-taking, precision, and emotional control, resulting in a more cautious and risk-averse approach to the review process. This article aims to elucidate how accountants can enhance their consideration of their professional roles.

Abstract

This research aims to explore the diverse aspects of Indonesian culture that have received limited attention from the community. Rather than allowing cultural differences to divide us as Indonesians, we should foster a sense of unity and brotherhood. The focus of this cultural research is the Rote tribe, residing in the Rote Ndao archipelago of the East Nusa Tenggara province, around 2020. The Rote tribe is one of several Timorese tribes that have settled on various small islands in East Nusa Tenggara. This tribe possesses unique attributes in terms of accessories, traditional clothing, and weapons. Male members of the Rote tribe typically wear plain white shirts with woven cloth instead of pants, and sometimes they only use a crossed cloth to cover the chest (exposing half of the chest). Female members wear closed woven cloth resembling overalls. Additionally, the Rote tribe has distinctive accessories, including a hat resembling a traditional Mexican hat, and a neck necklace called habas. Their special weapon is an axe, primarily used for cutting wood. Despite being somewhat blunt, this weapon is remarkably sharp, similar to a kris. Most residents of the Rote tribe speak the Austronesian language or Polynesian Malay, and many work as fishermen. This cultural heritage holds great value for the Indonesian people, as it reflects the identity of the Indonesian state. It is crucial for us, as Indonesians, to preserve the authenticity of this culture and its heritage.
