Abstract

The low level of community education in coastal areas is an indication that the community needs training regarding occupational safety and health. So the intensity of population activity has different influences. Dangers that often arise due to people's carelessness include short electrical cables, cigarette smoke, piles of rubbish, lack of knowledge about fire extinguishing systems, and so on. Therefore, this service activity in the form of socialization aims to increase the level of community knowledge. Increase community preparedness and awareness as well as the role of the community in society to know how to interact with the community in dealing with disasters. Knowledge of first aid in emergencies is one of the most important things needed to deal with the possible consequences of an accident or disaster. First Aid in Emergency Situations, respiratory arrest, heavy bleeding, shock, broken bones, etc. It is a set of skills and knowledge in providing first aid to other accident victims, including patients. First aid is important in life management in emergency situations. Lack of competence/skills in providing assistance Firstly, this can be very difficult, especially if management is inadequate and slow. Our approach to mentoring is to communicate and provide tools, training and rewards so that we believe people can gain knowledge and apply it in everyday life.

Abstract

The importance of MSMEs in a country's economy and the key to their business success is the key to production costs. Drinking water depot is an industrial business that converts swamp water into drinking water and sells it directly to buyers, but problems are often found in distribution to customers. The purpose of this study is to determine the optimal distribution cost. The Stepping Stone method seems effective to solve this problem, the first and second solutions have the same cost even though the delivery is done by different drivers. The profit that can be obtained by the first sender gets a fee of Rp. 52,500 for 35 gallons a day and the profit by the second sender is Rp. 37,500 for 25 gallons a day.

Abstract

Extremely Low Frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves are produced by several electrical devices (0-300Hz). This causes quite negative effects on human health. The aim of this research is to analyze the effects of ELF exposure on brain health. The method used in this research is a review with valid and relevant sources from several books and journals, with. The search was carried out using keywords related to ELF, exposure, and brain. From several literature results from research showing human brain disorders, measurements carried out for 30-60 minutes at an intensity of 50Hz have no effect on DNA damage. However, research on brain abnormalities in mice was carried out at intensities of 150μT, 300μT, 450μT. Exposure to an ELF field affects the brains of mice (white rats) at the intensity of the radiation, which is characterized by a decrease in brain function. Other studies show that exposure to ELF also causes headaches and dizziness and increases the risk of brain cancer and reproductive problems (but the results of this study are still not conclusive).

Abstract

Coastal areas are potential areas of the Indonesian archipelago. Indonesia has a coastline of 81,000 km and 17,508 islands. The 4,444 fisheries in Indonesia are very large, with the potential for sustainable fishing of around 6.17 million tons per year, but only 38% of the fish in the archipelago's waters and 20% of the fish in the Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) waters are utilized (duffling). Occupational safety and health (K3) are the rights of workers in the formal or informal economic sector, company size and type of work. This research uses a literature analysis method which involves searching, selecting and synthesizing various articles, journals and studies related to the role of government and society in K3 in coastal areas. Data is analyzed qualitatively to identify patterns, trends and key findings related to the topic. The aim of this research is to explore and analyze the role of government and society in the context of improving K3 in coastal areas. The government's role in supporting occupational safety and health (K3) in coastal areas includes several aspects, namely technical guidance and support, monitoring the fishing and processing process, the government as a regulator, and increasing public knowledge. As well as several community roles in supporting occupational safety and health (K3) in coastal areas, namely by enthusiastically participating in socialization, applying K3 knowledge in daily life, and showing independence in implementing K3.

Abstract

Abstract

Optimal service at the Emergency Department (ED) is crucial considering that every action must be effective and efficient in line with the philosophy of "Time Saving it's Life Saving". However, issues such as long waiting times, inefficient patient flow, and lack of coordination among medical teams often occur. This research aims to review various studies and best practices implemented in applying Lean Six Sigma at the Emergency Department. The literature review method utilized sources from online databases spanning the period 2020-2024. The research findings indicate that Lean Hospital can significantly reduce patient waiting times and enhance ED service efficiency, exemplified by its implementation at the ED of RSI PKU Muhammadiyah Tegal, which reduced waiting times from 69.9 minutes to 51.5 minutes. This implementation also involved strategies such as adding radiology slots and reserving inpatient beds. In conclusion, the application of Lean Hospital in ED has proven effective in improving service quality and efficiency, as well as enhancing patient satisfaction.

Abstract

Vitamin D, which is actually a hormone, plays a role in various organs of the body. Vitamin D comes from food intake and from the skin when exposed to UVB rays. This vitamin D is then converted into the active form 1,25(OH)2D3 or calcitriol. Calcitriol has a vitamin D receptor (VDR) which is spread across various organs including the skin and nerves. Therefore, vitamin D plays a role in the physiological processes in these organs. Age, lifestyle and external exposure can affect the aging process. Deficiency or insufficiency of vitamin D can disrupt the physiological processes of organs and cause various pathological conditions including the aging process of the skin and nerves. This article reviews the role of vitamin D in the physiological processes in the skin and nerves and its role in the aging process of the skin and nerves.
