Abstract

Introduction; Sleep pattern disturbances are often experienced by individuals who experience a decline in health conditions both physically and psychologically. Sleep pattern disorders in the elderly can refer to health conditions that require further treatment through pharmacological and non-pharmacological management such as Benson therapy. Objective; to describe the effectiveness of providing Benson therapy to elderly people who experience sleep pattern disorders. Method; The implementation of this case study uses a nursing process approach through five stages, namely assessment, establishing a nursing diagnosis, developing interventions, implementing nursing plans and evaluating the results of actions. Results; After applying Benson therapy seven times, elderly people who had disturbed sleep patterns experienced an improvement in their condition. Conclusion; The evaluation results after implementing action on elderly people with sleep pattern disorders showed that the nursing problem was resolved.

Abstract

Introduction : Attitudes in receiving Covid-19 information are different for each individual because attitudes are influenced by knowledge of the situation experienced and the possibility of a tendency to act. The purpose of this study research was to determine the attitude of Madura State Polytechnic students in receiving Covid-19 information on social media. This research was conducted from February to August 2022 Methods :  This research uses descriptive statistical analysis.. The population in this research were all students (19-21 old) od Madura State were 800 people. The sample in this research were 267 students of Madura State Polytechnic. Using the non-probability clustesr sampling technique. Collecting data using a close ended likert scale questionnaire and analyzed descriptively (Mean-T) and presented in the form of tables and narratives. Result:  Based on the research results, the attitude of Madura State Polytechnic students was mostly favorable, as many as 159 respondents (60%). Conclusion: The majority of Madura State Polytechnic students have a favorable attitude in receiving Covid-19 information on social media and it is hoped that students will be able to maintain choosing the correct information on social media

Abstract

Introduction: Exclusive breastfeeding is the best first and main food for babies aged 0-6 months in meeting the nutritional needs and growth and development of babies. One of the factors in the failure of exclusive breastfeeding is the influence of socio-culture where the mother's activities or work outside the home causes the mother to be unable to share her time between giving exclusive breastfeeding and breastfeeding her baby. The purpose of this study was to determine the intrinsic motivation of exclusive breastfeeding for working mothers. Methods: The design used in this study used descriptive, non-probability type total sampling techniques with a population of 15 working mothers who had babies aged 0-6 months. Data was taken by using a questionnaire. The results of data analysis are presented in the form of tables and narratives. Results: Research shows that most of the 60% or 9 respondents are categorized as high and none of 0% or 0 respondents is categorized as low.Conclusion: Based on the Results of the study, it can be concluded that most mothers work in East Teja Village have high motivation in providing breast milk.

Abstract

Introduction : The incidence of emesis gravidarum or nausea and vomiting that occurs in pregnant women is something that should not be taken lightly. This can be fatal and have a negative impact on the health of the mother and fetus. Objective : This study aims to determine the incidence of emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women in Suciharjo Village, Parengan District, Tuban Regency. Method : The design used in this research is descriptive. The sample was 45 pregnant women in the first trimester. Data collection used was using the Rhodes Index For Nausea, Vomiting, And Retching (RINVR) questionnaire with a sampling technique using purposive sampling. Results : Nearly half of pregnant women in the first trimester in Suciharjo village, Parengan district, Tuban regency experienced severe nausea and vomiting. Conclusion : Description of the incidence of emesis gravidarum in first trimester pregnant women in Suciharjo village, Parengan district, Tuban regency, almost half of whom experienced severe nausea and vomiting.

Abstract

Introduction; Diabetic neuropathy pain is a complication that is often experienced by diabetes mellitus sufferers who complain of pain in the extremities due to increased blood glucose levels. Objective; to describe the effectiveness of providing music therapy to clients experiencing diabetic neuropathy pain. Method; The implementation of this case study uses a nursing process approach through five stages, namely assessment, establishing a nursing diagnosis, developing interventions, implementing nursing plans and evaluating the results of actions. Patients were selected using a purposive sampling method, with action carried out in the community. Results; After applying music therapy three times, clients who experienced diabetic neuropathy pain experienced an improvement in their health condition which was marked by a decrease in pain. Conclusion; The results of the evaluation after implementing the action on a client diagnosed with diabetes mellitus who complained of diabetic neuropathy pain showed that the nursing problem was resolved.

Abstract

Introduction: Human immunodeficiency virus/acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (HIV/AIDS) is a virus that attacks the human immune system. Negative stigma in HIV/AIDS patients can affect the level of quality of life of HIV patients, which in turn can affect the patient's psychology, self-confidence, and career. Factors that cause discrimination against PLWHA are the low level of education and public understanding of HIV/AIDS. Objective: to determine the stigma of HIV/AIDS sufferers. Method: The method for preparing this article is the PRISMA method with database searches including Google Scholar, Digital Reference Garba, and Science Direct, using 10 articles based on inclusion criteria, namely published in 2019-2023, can be accessed in full text, articles in Indonesian and English and is research qualitative. Results: Of the 10 articles that have been analyzed, it is stated that stigma in HIV/AIDS sufferers can affect aspects of mental health, especially the quality of life of HIV/AIDS sufferers. The stigma faced by leprosy sufferers is self-stigma and public stigma. Conclusion: The stigma experienced by HIV patients comes from themselves, their families, society, and the surrounding environment. Stigma also causes depression and anxiety, feelings of sadness, guilt, and feelings of lack of worth due to low levels of knowledge about HIV/AIDS
