Abstract

Air pollution is one of several environmental problems faced by several countries in the world, including Indonesia. Air pollution caused many environmental problems such as global warming and climate change. Air pollution increased due to human activity and economic development. Economic activities such as industry, infrastructure development to community mobility can affect air quality in an area. The study aimed to analyze the impact of income per capita, transportation, and population on the air quality of six provinces in Java Island. This study obtained data from the National Statistic Central Bureau and the Ministry of Forestry websites from the year 2013-to 2019. This study was using a quantitative method through the regression model with panel data to achieve the research's goals. The result showed that the variable of income per capita has negative effects on air quality. The variable of income per capita is described by the economic activity of people in Java Island. The results of this study indicate that the economic activities of people in Java Island still have a negative impact on the environment, especially on the air quality. The opposite result was obtained from transportation and population variables that have a positive effect on air quality in the six provinces in Java Island from 2013 to 2019.

Abstract

The aim of this study is to further study the role of halal labels on a package of food products processed by MSMEs, and explore further about the obstacles and challenges faced by MSMEs. The majority of Indonesians are Muslims, of course, food choices are a top priority. The number of food choices in this market must certainly be in accordance with Islamic guidance, that is only halal food that can be consumed. To fulfill that, of course, it is the obligation and responsibility of producers/MSMEs. This research method uses a qualitative approach with case study design from 2015 to 2020. The results obtained are still available in some areas both concumers and producers/MSMEs who are less concerned about the inclusion of halal labels in each product. In addition, there is still a high sense of consumer confidence in the production that the food served is halal because they know the natural raw materials used by producers without, they having halal labels. The recommendation of this study is that there still needs to be socialization about the importance of halal certification in every packaged product for both consumers and manufacturers/MSMEs.

Abstract

Indonesian Migrant Workers (TKI) or now known as Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) contribute to the economic growth of Central Java Province through foreign exchange earnings, and increasing work productivity. The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial interaction patterns of IMW locally and globally. This research method uses a euclidean distance weight matrix approach to calculate the Local Moran Index and the Global Moran Index. The novelty of this research is to consider Indonesian workers or IMW with higher education. The conclusion of this study is that the results of the Local Moran Index empirical research identify that there are similar or dissimilar patterns of spatial interaction (within in group) in Cilacap Regency, Brebes Regency, Kendal Regency. However, in 2021 Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) from Central Java identified a pattern of spatial interaction (within in group), both similar and dissimilar, in the positions of Cilacap Regency and Kendal Regency. Changes in the Local Moran's Index of Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) in 2010 and 2021 were allegedly due to the placement of the number of Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) to the destination country which was limited in 2021. Initially, Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) in 2010 were Indonesian Migrant Workers (IMW) its placements are in 27 countries, decreasing to 17 countries in 2021. The results of empirical research on the negative Global Moran's I coefficient on Indonesian workers (IMW) with higher education from 2010 to 2021 identify that the spatial interaction pattern of Indonesian workers (IMW) with higher education in Central Java Province is divergent or spreads from districts/cities to district/city.
