Abstract

This study aims to describe the level of effectiveness of public relations management implemented at MIN 6 Tapanuli Tengah, as well as to analyze the process of implementing community relations management can be achieved. The data collection technique used the interview method. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive study method. The research data were obtained from observation guide sheets, interview guidelines, documentation. The results obtained from this research are first, there is good cooperation from all educators and teaching staff as well as management, especially public relations so that there is good communication to parents and the community; and second, there are tangible results when public relations is carried out properly in accordance with what has been programmed, it will get support from the head of the madrasa.

Abstract

The main topic of this study is teaching narrative text. The aim of this study is to seek out writing narrative text’s effect between the scholars taught by using personal experience strategy and therefore the students taught by using big group work strategy at tenth grade students’ of SMA Negeri 1 Pangkalan Susu. The experimental class was using personal experience strategy and therefore the controlled class was using big group work strategy. The author used quantitative method and also the research design  was experimental design.  In conducting  this  research, the population  was  tenth  grade and  brought  by sampling technique. The instrument in conducting the information during this study was essay test. There have been 500 scores gained of the pre-test to the post-test experimental class and there have been 211 scores gained of the pre-test to the post-test in controlled class. The finding showed that t-observed = 6.738 was on top of t-table = 1.667 at the amount of significance ∝ = 0.05 and therefore the degree of freedom (df) = 68. So, the null hypothesis (H0) was rejected and alternative hypothesis (Ha) was accepted, because t-observed  was  more  than  t-table  (t0  >  t  table  =  6.738  >  1.667).  Lastly,  personal experience strategy affected students’ achievement in writing narrative text.

Abstract

This study aims to describe the application of the Critical Path Method (CPM) technique in educational planning at SD Negeri 101777 Saentis. This study uses a qualitative approach with a descriptive method, to explain the approach and method applied in the form of CPM techniques in educational planning. Obtaining data through observation techniques, interviews and document studies. The research data analysis technique uses data reduction (sorting), data presentation and conclusion drawing. Then, the data will be declared valid after being tested with data triangulation techniques, in the form of checking the data sources and data acquisition methods. The results of this study conclude that the empowerment of human resources (HR) and budget allocation for program financing at SD Negeri 101777 Saentis implement CPM effectively as an effort to prioritize and schedule madrasa programs in a measurable and precise manner. Supporting this, the madrasah also collaborates with various elements of society in assisting education planning at SD Negeri 101777 Saentis, starting from collaboration with non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and government institutions.

Abstract

Smartphone addiction is a problem among students in the technology era. In this context, guidance from adults (teachers or parents) is needed for children (students). This study aims to determine the effectiveness of group guidance services in minimizing smartphone addiction. The background of this research is at SDN 101910 Sidodadi, specifically the research subjects, namely 30 students of class VI for the academic year 2022/2023 to test how big the level of smartphone addiction is among students, between before and after being given group guidance services. The type of this research is counseling guidance action research (PTBK), carried out in 2 cycles. Data analysis was carried out quantitatively using questionnaires and observations. The results of this study indicate the level of smartphone addiction of VI SDN 101910 Sidodadi students when a pre-test was held on 8 students (26.7%), 2 students in the high category, and 6 students in the very high category. Furthermore, in the first cycle, group guidance services were provided through group discussions, lectures, questions and answers, and filling out questionnaires. There were 2 students (6.7%) who were still addicted to smartphones in the high category and 4 students in the medium category, 2 students in the low category. In cycle II, 1 student (3.3%) was still addicted to smartphones in the high category, 3 students in the low category, and 4 students in the very low category. Thus, it was concluded that the level of smartphone addiction in students decreased after being given counseling services.

Abstract

The study aims to realize students’ understanding and ability in using the prepositions of time and place. The research was conducted using both qualitative and quantitative methods. The subjects of this study were students of class 3A of SMP Negeri 1 Panyabungan Utara Mandailing Natal for the 2020/2021 academic year. In this study, researcher used qualitative and quantitative descriptive approach, the researcher recognized the errors and explained them. The qualitative data were taken from interviews, observation, documentation while the quantitative data were taken from a test containing the use of the prepositions of time and place from 20 students. The second step is identifying the errors based on the outside of the test range tested, and the third step is describing the errors made by students. The results showed that there were 212 students who get errors from 400 questions in using time and place preposition. Researchers found that some errors that occur due to misinformation. Another finding is that the source of the error is divided in two categories, namely overgeneralization (the effect of the previous rules/formulas) and ignorance of role limitations (the effect of failure to apply the rule formula). And based on the interviews, observations, sheets and documentation, it showed that students’ responses in using prepositions are not good enough.

Abstract

This research was aimed to improve the students’ vocabulary mastery by using blindfold games. The subjects of this study were 25 students at 10th grade in MTs Percontohan Tebing Tinggi in academic year 2019/2020. This research was conducted  by using  classroom action research that  consist  of two cycle.  The technique of analyzing data for quantitative data was the students’ score of test. While for qualitative data, the researcher used the technique by Miles and Huberman. The result of this research showed that the mean of the students score was 41.04 in which there were 2 or 8 % from 25 students who passed the standard minimum score or KKM. In the post test I there were 10 or 40 % who improve and the score mean was 68.48. Meanwhile in posttest II the mean score was 80.32. There were 23 students or 88% passed the standard minimum score. It indicated that blindfold game could improve the students’ vocabulary. This result is strength by the observation and the interview result that students were more active in the class and enjoy the learning process.

Abstract

Vocabulary is the base component of language that needs to be mastered because it covers all of the language skills.To help learners improve their vocabulary mastery, visual media has been reported effective in many studies as media to assist students in mastering vocabulary. Hence, the objective of this research was to know whether utilizing Flashcard Media could also improve the students’ vocabulary mastery at the seventh grade of Junior High School. This research was conducted at MTs Boarding School Tahfidz Baitusy Syakirin which was carried out in the VII-2 class with 20 students. The research design employed was classroom action research with two cycles.In every cycle, the researcher collected qualitative and quantitative data. The qualitative data were obtained from obsevation, interview, and, diary note. While the quantitative data were taken from Pre-Test, Post-Test I,and Post-Test II.Based on the qualitative data, the researcher found three main findings.First,the students gained better understanding and memorizing of the meaning and the writing of the words. Second, the students were more motivated and enjoyed the vocabulary learning, and third, they felt more interested and interested in learning vocabulary. Whereas based on the quantitative data, the researcher found there were 10 students who achieve the Minimum Criteria of KKM score in the post test in cycle I,and 15 students in the post test in cycle II, It can be concluded that students’ scores improved in each test. Thus, it could be concluded that Flashcard Media could be utilized to improve students’ vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This research examines efforts to improve the professionalism of Indonesian language teachers at SMPN 3 Nibung Hangus. This research uses a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out using interview, observation and documentation techniques. The data analysis techniques used in this research are data collection, data reduction and drawing conclusions. The research results show that: 1) Strategies that can be used to develop teachers' professional competence in carrying out their duties, namely through the In Service Training program; (2) The principal's leadership strategy in developing the professional competence of teachers at SMPN 3 Nibung Hangus includes two strategies, the first is the formal strategy, namely the teacher is directed by the institution to take part in education and training, the second strategy, namely the non-formal teacher with a strong desire and motivation must be able to train and develop potential related to the teaching profession. Furthermore, there are several obstacles in teacher professional development, namely (a) Lack of teacher interest independently in creating new creativity and innovation in learning because teachers lack mastery of learning models, methods and strategies; (b) Some teachers have non-teaching educational backgrounds so their ability to understand psychology and pedagogy is still relatively low; and (c) Inadequate facilities and infrastructure.

Abstract

Language skills can be obtained by mastering vocabulary first. With that, this study will use the application as a medium for learning vocabulary. So that mastery can grow optimally with learning methods like this. This is also related to the nature of the environment which lacks insight into the media (smartphone) and also the limitations of something that is always unconditional (economic). This study aims to make it easier for students to improve vocabulary mastery so that it is easy to learn and understand. The subjects of this study were students of class X- IPA 1 Tunas Bangsa Private High School, the sample used was 32 students. The method used in this research is Classroom Action which is carried out in two cycles. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. Data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. In qualitative data obtained through observation activities. Meanwhile, quantitative data were obtained through pre-test and post- test. Based on quantitative data, the use of the Rosetta  Stone application can improve vocabulary mastery skills in students. This can be seen from the pre-test and post-test results. In the pre-test, the percentage of student scores was at 59.65%. Then in the first post-test, the percentage of student scores was at 67.84%. Whereas in the second post-test the percentage of student scores was at 79.53%. From the data found, we can see that the Rosetta Stone application is proven to be able to significantly improve students' vocabulary mastery.

Abstract

This research is based on the existence of problems in learning Arabic writing skills in class VI MIN 7 Aceh Timur. The problem is the lack of courage for class VI students to express ideas, ideas and thoughts into Arabic writing correctly. This is due to the lack of media use in learning Arabic. This research is a classroom action research that aims to describe the improvement of student learning outcomes through Arabic quiet book media in learning Arabic in class VI MIN 7 Aceh Timur. This research was conducted in two cycles with two meetings. The data collection method used is through learning outcomes tests. Furthermore, data analysis through individual test results and learning completeness results. The subjects in this study were class VI MIN 7 Aceh Timur students in the even semester of 2022-2023, totaling 24 people (12 boys and 12 girls). The results showed that in the first cycle it was 53.33% and in the second cycle it increased to 84.37%. From the comparison of the cycle, there was an increase of 31.04%. So, it can be concluded that the use of quiet book Arabic media in learning Arabic can improve student learning outcomes.
