Abstract

Penggunaan teknologi dalam industri perikanan tangkap menjadi bagian yang penting dalam usaha peningkatan daya saing nelayan di kepulauan Sangihe. Perahu Katir dengan tipe pumpboat merupakan bagian dari teknologi yang paling banyak digunakan oleh nelayan lokal sebagai armada penangkapan ikan di Sangihe. Sehingga nelayan pengguna perahu katir menjadi bagian yang tak terpisahkan untuk dievaluasi tingkat kapasitasnya. Pada penelitian ini, tingkat kecangihan humanware dihitung dengan menggunakan metode teknometrik yang dikembangkan oleh UN-ESCAP. Penilaian derajat kecanggihan disesuaikan dengan penilaian kondisi pekerjaan nelayan yang memiliki perahu katir tipe pumpboat yang mencakup qualification, creativity, innovation and achievement, cooperation, ability to face the risk and discipline, sedangkan untuk pembobotan tiap kriteria dan sub kriteria menggunakan metode pairwise comparison. Hasil analisis yang diperoleh yaitu kontribusi kesiapan teknologi nelayan pengguna perahu katir di Tabukan Utara yaitu Embuhanga 0.203, Petta 0.228 dan Enemawira 0.220.  Nilai ini menunjukan bahwa kondisi nelayan di Tabukan Utara masih jauh dari angka kecanggihan yaitu 1 (satu), sehingga membutuhkan pengembangan yang besar dalam enam hal kriteria pengukuran yang diukur.The use of technology in the capture fisheries industry is an important part in efforts to increase the competitiveness of fishermen in the Sangihe islands. Outrigger boat with pumpboat type is the most widely used technology by local fishermen as a fishing fleet in Sangihe. So that the outrigger boat fishermen become an inseparable part to evaluate their capacity level. In this study, the level of humanware sophistication was calculated using the technometric method developed by UN-ESCAP. The degree of sophistication is adjusted to the assessment of the working conditions of fishermen who have an outrigger boat type pumpboat which includes Qualification, Creativity, Innovation and achievement, Cooperation, Ability to face the risk and Discipline, while for weighting each criterion and sub-criteria using pairwise comparison method. The results of the analysis obtained are the contribution of technological readiness of fishermen using the outrigger boat in North Tabukan is Embuhanga 0.203, Petta 0.228 and Enemawira 0.220. This value shows that the condition of fishermen in North Tabukan is still far from the sophistication rate of 1 (one), so that it requires a large development in the six terms measured measurement criteria.

Abstract

The research on the technical aspects of the purse seine SL Tidore is a descriptive study that aims to identify construction and technical efficiency that includes setting speed of the nets, sinking speed of the nets, and   haulling speed of the ring ropes. The results showed that the purse seine SL Tidore including Japanese purse seine nets type pocket found in the middle and on the left and right side of the net portion shoulder, abdomen, and wings. Purse seines SL Tidore has a length of 400 meters and a width or in the pocket section 80 meters.  Hanging ratio every part webs vary at 53% on the pocket, 56% on the shoulder, 58% of the stomach, and 60% in the wings, and has a ratio of buoyancy forces and sinking forces at 2,31: 1 (932 063 kgf : 402,778 kgf). The achievement of technical efficiency is as follows: the average setting speed of the nets is 2,819 meters/sec, sinking speed of the nets is 0,265 meters/second, and haulling speed of the ring ropes is 0.215 meters/second. Based on the construction and technical efficiency, the purse seine SL Tidore included in good categories.  ABSTRAKPenelitian tentang aspek teknis pukat cincin SL Tidore adalah penelitian deskriptif yang bertujuan untuk mengetahui konstruksi dan efisiensi teknis yang meliputi kelajuan melingkar jaring, kelajuan tenggelam tali pemberat, dan kelajuan penarikan tali cincin.  Hasil penelitian menunjukan bahwa pukat cincin SL Tidore termasuk pukat cincin tipe jepang dengan jaring kantong terdapat pada bagian tengah, dan di bagian sisi kiri dan kanan terdapat bagian jaring bahu, perut, dan sayap.  Pukat cincin SL Tidore memiliki ukuran panjang 400 meter dan lebar atau dalam pada bagian kantong 80 meter.  Hanging ratio setiap bagian jaring berbeda-beda yaitu 53% pada bagian kantong, 56% pada bagian bahu, 58% pada perut, dan 60% pada bagian sayap, dan memiliki perbandingan gaya apung dan gaya tenggelam sebesar 2.31 : 1 (932.063 kgf : 402.778 kgf ). Capaian efisiensi teknis adalah sebagai berikut : rata-rata kelajuan melingkar jaring adalah 2,819 meter/detik, rata-rata kelajuan tenggelam tali pemberat adalah 0,265 meter/detik, dan rata-rata kelajuan penarikan tali cincin adalah 0,215 meter/detik.  Berdasarkan pada konstruksi dan efisiensi teknis, maka pukat cincin SL Tidore termasuk dalam kategori baik.

Abstract

The Large pelagic hand lines operated by fishermen in the Village of Ranomea, South Minahasa Regency, aims to catch large pelagic fishes, especially tuna species. Large pelagic hand lines used in this study uses live bait, so the aspect under study are specialized in the use of effective live bait speciesto catch large pelagic fish.Live bait which is used as a treatment are two species each, small tuna (Thunnus sp.) and Yellowstripe scad (Selaroides leptolepis). The purpose of this study was to determine the effective of live bait to be used on large pelagic hand line, and to find out the number and species of catch in each treatment. Data collection was carried out by operating 2 units of Large pelagic hand line with different live baits around FADs  in the Manado Tua waters for 7 trips.The catch during the study amounted to 15 fishes consisting of 11 fishes caught with small tuna and 4 fishes caught with yellowstripe scad live bait.Results of the t-test analysis showed that the use of small tuna was not significantly different from the yellowstripe scad live bait on the catches.The catches obtained consists of 10 yellowfin tuna (Thunnus albacares), 3 common dolphinfish (Coryphaena hippurus), and 2 black marlin (Makaira indica). ABSTRAKPancing ulur pelagis besar yang dioperasikan oleh nelayan Kelurahan Ranomea, Kecamatan Amurang timur Kabupaten Minahasa Selatan, bertujuan untuk menangkap Ikan-ikan pelagis besar khususnya jenis tuna (Thunnus sp). Pancing ulur pelagis besar yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah pancing ulur yang menggunakan umpan hidup, sehingga aspek yang diteliti dikhususkan pada  penggunaan jenis umpan hidup yang efektif untuk menangkap ikan pelagis besar.  Umpan hidup yang digunakan sebagai perlakuan adalah dua jenis masing-masing, ikan tuna kecil maesang (Thunnus sp.) dan ikan selar (Selaroides leptolepis). Tujuan penelitian ini adalah mengetahui jenis umpan yang terbaik untuk digunakan pada pancing ulur pelagis besar, dan mengetahui jumlah dan jenis hasil tangkapan pada masing-masing perlakuan. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan cara mengoperasikan 2 unit pancing ulur tuna dengan umpan yang berbeda disekitar rumpon/ponton di perairan  Manado Tua selama 7 trip, dan setiap trip dilakukan 12 kali pengoperasian. Hasil tangkapan selama penelitian berjumlah 15 ekor yang terdiri dari 11 ekor tertangkap dengan umpan ikan maesang dan 4 ekor tertangkap dengan umpan ikan selar. Hasil analisis uji t menunjukan bahwa penggunaan umpan ikan maesang tidak berbeda nyata dengan umpan ikan selar terhadap hasil tangkapan pancing ulur pelagis besar.  Jenis hasil tangkapan yang diperoleh tediri dari ikan tuna sirip kuning (Thunnus albacares) sebanyak 10 ekor, ikan lemadang (Coryphaena hippurus) 3 ekor, dan ikan setuhuk hitam/ black marlin (Makaira indica) 2 ekor.

Abstract

Soma landra is classified as drift gillnet which rectangular shaped and it equipped with  floats, head rope, buoy rope, towing rope and sign buoy. In operation, it is installed in a position to cut the current direction with the intention of blocking the fish motion. The influence of moon phase is one of the factors that is closely related to fish behavior, where one of them is interested in light. Besides the brightness of the moonlight can be affected to the efficiency of capture. Therefore, the aims of this study were determined the effect of moon phase on catches and determined the catches at each moon phase. Randomized Block Design (RBD) was used in this study. The analyzed indicated that difference or reject Ho, means there are differences in catches in each moon phase. The species of fish caught is flying fish in the local language known as Marluga (Cypsilirusolegoleptis) as a target fishes with a total catch of 364.On the full moon as many as 106 (29.12%), the final perennial of 57 (15.66%), the dark moon of 79 (21.70%) and the initial peraniage of 122 fishes (33.52%).

Abstract

Bitung City is the center of fisheries industries in North Sulawesi. Fisheries production in Bitung Oceanic Fishing Port showed an increasing trend until the first semester of 2019. Yellowfin tuna is the dominant catches that landed at the port. Along with the increasing fishing efforts but lack of information regarding capture size, research to support its sustainable management need to be carried out. This study aims to determine the average size structure from four type fishing gears used by fishermen, the growth pattern, and the length at first captured (Lc). Fish were sampled randomly from landed catches at Bitung fishing port. The samples were taken from August 2019 to October 2019 with the total number of 3,900 fish samples. The results from the purse seine showed that Lc of yellowfin 47.32 cm FL. Comparing to the length at first maturity (Lm) from the previous research result of 94 cm Fl, it can be concluded that the first catches were of young fish (juvenile). If this continues to happen without being balanced by a management effort, it will lead to overfishing that endangers the sustainability of yellowfin fish resources.Keywords: Purse seine, yellowfin, length, growth pattern, Bitung City.
