Abstract

Murabahah financing is a form of sharia-based financing carried out through a sale and purchase agreement with an agreed profit margin. This study uses a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collection through interviews, observations, and documentation. The results of the study indicate that murabahah financing at BMT Al-Hijrah Bukittinggi is effective in supporting the growth of MSMEs. This is reflected in the increase in income, expansion of business scale, and business stability of MSME members receiving financing. The implementation of this financing complies with sharia principles, with supervision and monitoring carried out periodically to ensure the use of funds according to purpose. This study concludes that murabahah financing not only plays a role in improving the economy of MSME actors, but also strengthens the contribution of BMT as a sharia financial institution in community-based economic development.

Abstract

Marketing strategy will be very important because it is equally known that one of the goals of a business is to get many customers because it can increase the income of a business. The purpose of this study is to determine the marketing strategy of gold savings products of PT. Pegadaian UPC Lubuk Sikaping. In this writing, the research used is field research (field research) which is descriptive qualitative with data collection through observation, interviews and documentation. Researchers in this study tried to analyze the strategy used by PT. Pegadaian UPC Lubuk Sikaping in increasing the number of customers. The results of this study, PT. Pegadaian UPC Lubuk Sikaping in increasing the number of customers with the marketing strategy used, namely the Marketing Mix Strategy consisting of 7P, Product, Price, Place, Promotion, People, Process, and Physical Evidence.

Abstract

Money is a fundamental element in the economic system that influences individual behavior, economic policy and social order. This article aims to compare the practice and meaning of money in conventional economics and Islamic economics. In conventional economics, money not only functions as a medium of exchange but also as a commodity that can be traded and speculated on, thus opening up space for usury practices and inequality in distribution. Meanwhile, Islamic economics views money as a medium of exchange that must be used productively and must not generate profits from the money itself. A descriptive qualitative approach is used through literature studies to examine the philosophical foundations and practical implications of the two systems. The results of the study show that Islamic economics emphasizes justice, balance and blessings in the use of money, in contrast to the materialistic approach in the conventional system

Abstract

This study aims to determine and analyse the impact of customer satisfaction in the relationship between service orientation and service quality on customer satisfaction. To achieve this objective, an associative method was used, which is a method used to describe the relationship between one variable and another. The results of this study indicate that service orientation and service quality have a positive and significant influence on customer satisfaction. Similarly, service orientation and service quality have a positive and significant influence on customer loyalty. However, customer satisfaction does not have a significant influence on customer loyalty. Additionally, service orientation and service quality do not have a significant influence on customer loyalty through the mediation of customer satisfaction.

Abstract

This study aims to determine the financial performance of Islamic Commercial Banks with the islamicity performance index approach. The background of the author choosing this title is because the conventional approach that only focuses on financial ratios such as Return on Assets (ROA) and Return on Equity (ROE) is not sufficient to describe the overall performance of Islamic banks. A more comprehensive approach is needed, such as the Islamicity Performance Index, to assess other aspects of performance that are more in line with sharia principles. This research is a quantitative descriptive method. This study uses four indicators of islamicity performance index, namely profit sharing ratio, zakat performance ratio, islamic income vs non islamic income, and islamic investment vs non islamic investment. The population in this study was 13 Islamic commercial banks. Sampling using purposive sampling method at Islamic commercial banks registered with the Financial Services Authority (OJK) during the 2021-2023 period. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the research results show that the financial performance of Islamic Commercial Banks for the 2021-2023 period using the islamicity performance index approach shows the overall result of obtaining a score of 4 with a satisfactory predicate. Profit sharing ratio shows a score of 4 with a satisfactory predicate. For the zakat performance ratio, all banks still have a score of 1 with an unsatisfactory predicate. Islamic income vs non Islamic income, and Islamic investment vs non Islamic investment obtained a very satisfactory predicate, except Bank Mega Syariah obtained a score of 3 with a fairly satisfactory predicate on Islamic income vs non Islamic income. With this research, it can contribute to Islamic Commercial Banks to evaluate their performance which is still in the unsatisfactory category and maintain good performance.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the financial performance of BCA Syariah banks using the Islamicity Performance Index approach for the 2019-2023 period. So far, the measurement of Islamic bank performance has focused more on indicators similar to conventional banks that assess in terms of financial performance alone. So that a more comprehensive approach is needed such as the Islamicity Performance Index, to assess bank performance from the aspects of justice, halalness, and social welfare in accordance with sharia principles. This study uses quantitative methods with a descriptive approach. This study uses five indicators of Islamicity Performance Index, namely Profit Sharing Ratio, Zakat Performance Ratio, Equitable Distribution Ratio, Islamic Investment vs Non Islamic Investment and Islamic Income vs Non Islamic Income. The population in this study is BCA Syariah bank. Sampling using purposive sampling method at BCA Syariah bank which is available in the Annual Report 2019-2023. Based on the results of data analysis and discussion, the results showed that the financial performance of BCA Syariah bank for the 2019-2023 period using the Islamicity Performance Index approach showed overall results obtained a score of 4 with a good predicate. Profit Sharing Ratio shows a score of 4 with a good predicate, Zakat Performance Ratio shows a score of 1 with a bad predicate, Equitable Distribution Ratio shows a score of 1 with a bad predicate, Islamic Investment vs Non Islamic Investment shows a score of 5 with a very good predicate, and Islamic Income vs Non Islamic Income shows a score of 5 with a very good predicate.

Abstract

The problem studied in this study is about the implementation of risk management in dealing with problematic murabahah financing at BMT Al-Hijrah Bukittinggi. The purpose of this study is to analyze the implementation of risk management in overcoming problematic murabahah financing at the institution. This type of research is classified as Descriptive Qualitative Research. Descriptive Qualitative Research is recognized as one type of research within the qualitative research category, where events and phenomena from individual lives are studied, and one or a group of people are asked to share their life experiences. In this approach, data is collected through methods of observation, interviews, and documentation. Data analysis is conducted in three main phases: data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results of this study indicate that the implementation of risk management in Murabahah financing at BMT Al Hijrah Bukittinggi has been carried out effectively. This is evidenced by the determination of requirements when financing is submitted and the implementation of a structured risk management process. The first step taken involves risk identification, which is conducted by applying the 5C principle (Character, Capacity, Capital, Collateral, and Economic Condition) along with 3R (Rescheduling, Reconditioning, and Restructuring), adjusted to the conditions and characteristics, as well as Sharia rules that prohibit business activities contrary to the teachings of Allah and government regulations. The identification process is conducted through the examination of financing needs, direct observation in the field, and reference to applicable policies. Furthermore, risk measurement is performed by grouping the quality of financing, followed by risk monitoring through routine inspections. Risk control is implemented through various steps, such as intensive monitoring, the setting of financing limits, the avoidance of risky financing, debt collection, the sending of reminder letters, and the provision of advice to customers. Although this risk management is implemented well, the risk cannot be completely eliminated. Therefore, the importance of risk prevention efforts is strongly emphasized by BMT Al Hijrah through understanding, assessing, measuring, and managing risks according to their nature.

Abstract

Mitraguna is a product of Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Lubuk Sikaping, an online financing service. On the other hand, not everyone in Lubuk Sikaping is keen on utilizing the Mitraguna online loan service. The fact that very few clients actually use Mitraguna's online financing is the main issue with this research. Among other things, this is because some clients still have plenty of money in their pockets and don't require the loan. The result is that the Mitraguna online finance goal is not met by BSI KCP Lubuk Sikaping. Qualitative research methodologies were used in this study. Data collecting approaches by conducting observations, interviews and documentation. This study's findings reveal that Bank Syariah Indonesia KCP Lubuk Sikaping's marketing strategy for their Mitraguna online financing product follows the 9Ps of marketing: product, price, place, promotion, people, physical evidence, process, packaging, and public relations). Challenges include: 1) the community's lack of familiarity with Islamic banks and online partner funding, and 2) the necessity of going via Bank Syariah Indonesia's payroll system.

Abstract

The development of information technology has led to a shift in the use of manual information systems to computer-based information systems that allow various activities to be carried out more quickly, precisely, and accurately. The purpose of this study is to empirically prove the influence of the use and utilization of information technology on the effectiveness of accounting information systems. This research was conducted at PT Pegadaian (Persero) Denpasar Branch Office. This study uses a quantitative approach with multiple linear regression analysis techniques. The population in this study was 74 people, with a nonprobability sampling method, namely by purposive sampling technique, so that a sample of 55 samples was obtained. The results of this study indicate that the influence of the use and utilization of information technology has a positive effect on the effectiveness of accounting information systems. The coefficient of determination (Adjusted R Square) obtained was 0.708, meaning that a percentage of 70.8% of the effectiveness variable of the accounting information system can be explained by the variable of the influence of the use and utilization of information technology, while the remaining 29.2% is explained by other variables that were not studied. The implications of the results of this study are able to provide suggestions or input for pawnshops, especially PT Pegadaian (Persero) Denpasar Information Branch Office, in an effort to improve the effectiveness of the accounting system by paying attention to the use of information technology in carrying out its operational activities, and increasing the use of good information technology for the company.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to address the suboptimal use of digital marketing as a promotional medium in the digital era. Additionally, PT Sutra Hidayah Tour and Umrah Travel in Bukittinggi lacks sufficient resources in the marketing department. The objective of this study is to analyze the marketing strategies implemented by PT Sutra Hidayah to enhance awareness among Umrah pilgrims. This research employs a descriptive qualitative method, including interviews, observations, and documentation, which are then evaluated using SWOT analysis. The purpose of this analysis is to recognize and determine marketing strategies and develop alternative strategies to increase public interest The survey found that PT Sutra Hidayah Tour has several advantages, including the implementation of well-structured SOPs, attractive Umrah packages, collaborations with communities, and promotions through social media. Opportunities that can be leveraged include technological advancements, marketing expansion, a strategic location, and a better understanding of the millennial generation. Additionally, there are risks, including intense competition and low public trust. The results of the SWOT matrix recommend prioritizing the SO (Strengths and Opportunities) strategy, which utilizes internal strengths while optimizing external opportunities.
