Abstract

Background: Quarter-life crisis is often experienced by fresh graduates and is characterized by uncertainty, decreased self-confidence, and emotional distress. Purpose: To evaluate the effectiveness of self-healing psychoeducation in improving participants' knowledge and preparedness to face the challenges of this transition period. Method: Using a one-group pretest–posttest design, participants completed a 20-item questionnaire before and after sessions that included material delivery, group discussions, case study analysis, and positive self-talk exercises. Results: The t-test results found a t = -7.464 with a significant change (p < .001), followed by an increase in the average score from pretest (M = 10.11) to posttest (M = 15.00), with a mean difference of 4.88 (SD = 1.96). Conclusion: Qualitative findings demonstrated active participation and direct application of self-healing techniques. This program was deemed effective in improving understanding and basic knowledge of facing quarter-life.crisis. Keywords: Fresh Graduates; Psychoeducation; Quarter-Life Crisis; Self-Healing.

Abstract

Background: Diabetic Foot Ulcer (DFU) is a chronic complication of diabetes mellitus that significantly affects patients’ quality of life. Several wound classification systems are used to assess DFU severity, including the Wagner and SHID classifications. However, evidence comparing the application of these classifications in evaluating quality of life (QoL) among DFU patients has not been comprehensively mapped. Purpose: To map and compare existing evidence regarding the use of SHID and Wagner wound classifications in evaluating quality of life in patients with diabetic foot ulcer. Method: A scoping review was conducted following the Arksey and O’Malley framework. Literature searches were performed in electronic databases (PubMed and Google Scholar) for studies published within the last five years. Eligible articles were analyzed using descriptive and thematic approaches. Results: Most studies applied the Wagner classification as the primary clinical assessment tool, while SHID was reported to provide a more comprehensive depiction of wound conditions. Conclusion: A consistent association between wound severity and decreased quality of life was identified, although direct integration of both classifications with QoL instruments remains limited. Abstract

Backgroud: Hypertension is a chronic disease that often affects older adults due to the aging process and can reduce physical, psychological, social, and environmental functioning, thereby impacting quality of life. Purpose: To determine the quality of life of elderly people with hypertension in the working area of the Bangetayu Community Health Centre in Semarang. Method: The study used a quantitative descriptive design with a cross-sectional approach involving 132 elderly people with hypertension who were selected using total sampling techniques. Data collection was conducted using the WHOQOL-BREF questionnaire, then analysed descriptively to describe the quality of life in the physical, psychological, social, and environmental domains. Results: The results showed that most elderly people with hypertension had a relatively good quality of life in all domains measured, although physical limitations due to the aging process were still found. Conclusion: This study shows that the quality of life of elderly people with hypertension in the Bangetayu Community Health Centre working area is relatively good and needs to be maintained through physical health maintenance efforts, psychosocial support, and empowerment of the elderly in social activities. Abstract

Background: Credentialing implementation is a fundamental pillar of clinical governance in hospitals, ensuring that healthcare professionals possess competencies aligned with the clinical privileges granted to them. Despite its critical role in patient safety, the implementation of credentialing processes often encounters various administrative and regulatory challenges. Purpose: To map the existing literature on credentialing implementation processes, regulatory frameworks, barriers, and success factors for healthcare professional credentialing in hospital settings through a scoping review approach. Method: A scoping review design following the PRISMA-ScR guidelines. Article searches were conducted using the Wiley Online Library, PubMed, and ScienceDirect databases, covering publications from 2015 to 2025. After the screening process, 12 articles met the inclusion criteria and were included in the review. Results: A total of 12 articles were analyzed in this review. The findings indicate that the digitalization of credentialing systems and the implementation of Primary Source Verification (PSV) significantly improve the accuracy of competency verification and reduce the risk of malpractice. Regulatory frameworks, such as Medical Staff Bylaws, serve as the primary foundation for accountability in granting clinical privileges. However, barriers including staff resistance to recredentialing, lack of data integration, and limited resources in rural areas remain major challenges. Key success factors were identified as strong hospital leadership commitment and the independence of medical committees in conducting peer review. Conclusion: Effective credentialing implementation requires the integration of transparent policies, robust health information technology infrastructure, and a strong patient safety culture. The findings of this scoping review are expected to serve as a reference for hospital management in optimizing credentialing systems to ensure the quality of healthcare services. Keywords: Credentialing; Clinical Privileges; Clinical Governance; Healthcare Professionals; Hospital.
