Abstract

Trends in International Mathematics and Science Study (TIMMS) is one of the leading organizations that measures the academic competence of students around the world in terms of science and mathematics. This paper studied the idea that high economic output of a country leads to higher average scores TIMMS or vice versa. The independent variables were Gross Domestic Product (GDP) per capita, GDP real, GDP growth, Expenditure on Education, employment rate, and net trade in goods and services while the dependent variable was the TIMMS average score. Using multiple regression analysis (MRA), these independent variables were correlated to the dependent variable while making sure that the assumptions of MRA are observed. It was found out that the economic outputs were not a factor in TIMSS score.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to describe the problems of change management in educational institutions and alternative solutions that can be pursued in overcoming these problems. This type of research uses library research. The results of the study show that the problems that often arise in the process of change in educational institutions are resistance to change and temporary change. Several factors causing the failure of the change process are: 1) changes are not planned properly; 2) ignoring the human element in managing change; 3) failure to build strong coalitions to drive change; 4) lack of outreach to internal educational institutions; and 5) the lack of innovation and the powerlessness of the change-sustaining energy. Alternative solutions are: 1) overcoming resistance to change; 2) innovate; and 3) maximizing the energy of change in educational institutions, including HR support, maximum supervision and support from technology and information systems.

Abstract

Indonesia has many natural resources, including forests, marine biodiversity, and minerals. However, these resources face increasing pressures from economic development, population growth, and climate change. Effective implementation of environmental law is crucial to promote sustainable development, protecting the environment, and preserving natural resources in Indonesia. This study explored the Awareness, enforcement, and community participation related to environmental law, the role of Government, NGOs, and the importance of sustainable development. Data was collected through a review of existing literature and interviews with 45 participants from various sectors. The study's findings suggested that while most participants were aware of environmental laws and regulations, enforcement needed to be stronger and faced obstacles such as corruption and lack of political will. Community participation was seen as essential for effective environmental management, and there was a need for stronger partnerships between the Government and NGOs. The study highlights the need for a robust legal framework to support environmental protection and sustainable development in Indonesia.

Abstract

This paper aims at developing an integrative conceptual framework that explains the nexus between celebrity endorsement and patronage intentions of political products in a typical developing country context. Extant literatures reveal that there abounds literature on celebrity endorsement and patronage intentions but few studies have explained the nexus between Celebrity endorsement and patronage intentions of political products in a developing country like Nigeria. Also, the existing frameworks and models developed in advanced economies may not be suitable for developing street political product patronage behavior in Nigeria because of its peculiarities. The major importance of this study is to make available a comprehensive and robust framework for prospective researchers in this area, which will guide and direct their studies. The framework is premised on five key constructs- trustworthiness, expertise, attractiveness and congruency. More so, the proposed CELEBRITY ENDORSEMENT -PATRONAGE INTENTION conceptual framework is capable of providing insight for developing political marketing-related policies.

Abstract

The existence of household waste has a huge impact on the environment and health if left unchecked. One way to process household waste into useful products is by making Ecoenzyme. This study aims to determine the utilization of household waste through ecoenzyme by analyzing the literature review. There are 14 scientific articles used in this research which come from 12 accredited national journals and 2 journal proceedings articles. The technique of presenting the data is using a table listing scientific publication articles that will be analyzed into research data. Data analysis techniques were carried out descriptively by analyzing and identifying scientific articles so as to produce a more formative summary. The results of the literature review research show that this Ecoenzyme is an alternative to organic waste processing, especially in household waste, this Ecoenzyme has several product results and their uses. In agriculture, Ecoenzyme is used as liquid organic fertilizer (POC). The results of Ecoenzyme are also used as cleaners, soaps, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, and are made in the form of essential oils to be added to water purifiers.
