Abstract

The implementation of a green economy is a key strategy in promoting sustainable development, especially in strategic sectors such as oil and gas in Indonesia. Green economy aims to improve human welfare in a sustainable manner by minimizing risks and pressures on the environment. This study aims to analyze the causality relationship between Gross Regional Domestic Product (GRDP), waste generation, population density, and energy use. The method used is panel data analysis with the Vector Error Correction Model (VECM) approach, which is able to identify long-term and short-term relationships between variables. The results show that there is a unidirectional causality relationship between waste generation and GRDP, as well as between population density and GRDP. In the long run, there is a significant relationship between population density and regional economic growth. Meanwhile, in the short term, there is a relationship between GRDP and population density. These findings emphasize the importance of waste management and population planning as an integral part of green economic development strategies in the oil and gas sector. This research contributes to the strengthening of environment-based policies that support the integration between economic development and ecosystem sustainability.

Abstract

Digitalization has changed how consumers engage with information and shop online. In this context, the significance of influencers as public figures on social media is growing ever more vital, particularly for Generation Z who are very adept with technology. Nonetheless, a knowledge gap exists regarding the impact of influencer credibility and engagement tactics on consumer purchasing decisions on e-commerce platforms like Tokopedia. This study takes a qualitative approach with a literature review designed to comprehend Generation Z's attitude toward influencers and their influence on consumer behavior. The results show that the credibility of influencers, including aspects of expertise, trust, and attractiveness, is an important factor in establishing emotional bonds with consumers that influence purchasing behavior. Two-way communication strategies in the form of digital interactions, such as comments, live streaming, and interactive content, have been shown to increase consumer engagement and promotion efficacy. Generation Z is more responsive to influencers who are authentic and whose values align with the product being promoted than to official promotion techniques. Hence, this study suggests that business practitioners and educators consider influencer credibility and interactive strategies in building significant communication.

Abstract

Cocopeat, a processed coconut fiber product, holds significant potential as an environmentally friendly growing medium, particularly for hydroponic and horticultural agriculture. Increasing awareness of sustainable agriculture and the need for efficient alternative growing media underscore the urgency of this research, given the limited comprehensive studies on Cocopeat business development strategies at the local level. This study aims to analyze local resource-based Cocopeat business development strategies through the Business Model Canvas (BMC) approach and SWOT analysis. The method used is a descriptive qualitative approach. Data collection was carried out through literature studies and distributing questionnaires to 62 respondents from the segment of housewives and employees aged 25-40 years. Qualitative data from questionnaires and literature studies were then analyzed using content analysis and thematic analysis techniques to identify key patterns and insights. The research results indicate that the majority of respondents have a good understanding of the functions and benefits of Cocopeat and show high purchasing interest. The recommended business strategy focuses on optimizing distribution through digital channels and forming strategic local partnerships, with a strong emphasis on sustainability values and product quality assurance. These findings contribute to the development of sustainable agriculture-based entrepreneurship relevant to urban farming trends. Practically, this research can serve as a guide for Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and startups in designing effective Cocopeat business models, and can provide input for local governments in formulating policies that support innovative and environmentally friendly local agricultural industries.

Abstract

This study aims to explore the roles of social, spiritual, and financial capital in shaping the entrepreneurial interest of Islamic Economics students. Using a descriptive qualitative approach and a case study method, the study involved 15 students from three Islamic higher education institutions in Indonesia, selected through purposive sampling. Data were collected through in-depth interviews and participatory observation, and analyzed using thematic techniques. The findings reveal that social capital—including networks, trust, and social norms—plays a significant role in enhancing students’ entrepreneurial confidence. Spiritual capital strengthens internal motivation and Islamic value orientation in business practices, while financial capital supports readiness by improving financial literacy and access to sharia-compliant financing. The integration of these three forms of capital creates a holistic and sustainable entrepreneurial ecosystem among students. The findings recommend strengthening value-based entrepreneurship programs, skills development, and access to Islamic financial resources within Islamic higher education institutions.

Abstract

Village Fund Management (VFM) is an initiative aimed at reducing development disparities between villages, particularly in improving community welfare. In this context, transparency from village officials to the public is essential. Based on this background, this study aims to analyze how the management of Village Funds in Sumber Kramat Village can positively impact the improvement of community welfare and to identify factors that influence the effectiveness of Village Fund utilization. Furthermore, this research focuses on Village Fund management that actively involves the community, with the goal of providing recommendations for a more transparent, efficient, and sustainable Village Fund management system. This study employs a qualitative approach or field study method. The results indicate that the management of Village Funds for health programs in Sumber Kramat Village has had a positive impact on the quality of life of the community, particularly through the establishment of the Polindes (village clinic), Posyandu (integrated health service post) programs, maternal health counseling, and adolescent induction programs. These programs have improved access to basic health services, maternal and child health, and raised community awareness of healthy lifestyles. The empowerment of health cadres has strengthened community independence in maintaining their health. Although youth participation in some programs remains low, the management of Village Funds has successfully reduced transportation and medical costs while enhancing community productivity. This effective management in the health sector can serve as a model for other villages to improve community welfare.

Abstract

The export-import opportunities for various superior products from Sambas Regency through the Aruk PLBN are very high, especially with the presence of supporting government agencies and SOEs at the Aruk PLBN. So it is interesting to analyze further the cross-border trade in the Indonesia-Malaysia region in the Aruk PLBN area of Sambas Regency. This research is a type of field research that uses qualitative descriptive methods. The researcher tries to conduct an in-depth study by describing the phenomenon of cross-border trade that occurs at the Aruk Cross-Border Post. This will show the impact of the Aruk Cross-Border Post on the improvement of the Sambas Regency economy as a State Border Regency. At Aruk Cross-Border Checkpoint, cross-border trade activities are carried out in the Neutral Zone. This is because Malaysia still considers that cross-border trade is traditional trade, while the Indonesian government has recognized Aruk Cross-Border Checkpoint as an export and import crossing point. Currently, the obstacle to export-import faced at PLBN Aruk is the Indonesian government regulation regarding general exports. So PLBN Aruk only serves export activities while import activities still cannot be carried out. Furthermore, regarding the determination of Biawak status, Malaysia still considers it as traditional trade or only serving cross-border people. So that the export activities carried out by PLBN Aruk, the loading and unloading of goods is carried out at the zero point or Neutral zone. Trade transactions are still limited to raw agricultural and fishery commodities. The construction of the International Cargo Terminal facility has not been completed, and the port code for Aruk Cross-border Checkpoint has not been assigned, so it is not functioning as it should. Therefore, it is important to strive for Aruk Cross-border Checkpoint to be officially designated as an import-export gateway by the central government, so that Aruk Cross-border Checkpoint functions optimally.
