Abstract

Violations of moral norms often have significant social impacts, one of which is marriage which is carried out as a form of resolving moral conflicts in society. This article aims to analyze marriage due to violations of moral norms in Pematang Siantar City based on the perspective of Islamic law and positive law in Indonesia. In Islamic law, marriage is often considered a solution to normalize social relations after the occurrence of a violation, although there are requirements and principles that must be met. Meanwhile, positive law in Indonesia emphasizes the formal legality aspect and does not explicitly regulate the obligation to marry in such situations. This study also discusses various social implications that arise as a result of this phenomenon, such as social pressure on the individuals involved, as well as its impact on household stability. Using a normative-juridical approach, this article reviews how the two legal systems view this phenomenon, as well as providing an overview of the integration efforts between religious, legal, and cultural values in resolving this problem. The results of the analysis show that a comprehensive approach is needed to handle marriage cases due to violations of moral norms, in order to ensure justice for all parties involved.

Abstract

The culinary industry in Indonesia has seen significant growth, driven by evolving consumer preferences and innovations in food presentation. Bento cakes, originating from South Korea, have emerged as a popular product with high demand, resulting in a rapid expansion of bento cake home industries. Despite this promising market, the growing competition poses challenges for business owners, particularly in developing effective marketing strategies. This study investigates marketing strategies by adopting an order-based marketing strategy and examines the operational challenges faced by bento cake home businesses. Utilizing a qualitative approach and phenomenological methodology, data were collected through in-depth interviews, observations, and documentation with business owners and customers. Findings indicate that an order-based marketing strategy enhances customer satisfaction by offering personalized services and improves production efficiency and transaction convenience. However, operational constraints include human error and limited customer understanding of the ordering process, often leading to dissatisfaction. Furthermore, while social media marketing contributes positively to business reach and engagement, issues remain in effectively communicating order procedures and managing operations efficiently. The study highlights the need for continuous production and order management improvement to mitigate errors and enhance customer comprehension. Recommendations include regular training for staff to minimize errors, refining information dissemination strategies on social media, and enhancing operational processes to optimize customer experience. These findings underscore the importance of adapting marketing strategies to maintain competitiveness in Indonesia’s dynamic culinary landscape.

Abstract

This study interprets the application of the NIST Cybersecurity Framework (CSF) by Indonesian internal auditors. Employing Paul Ricoeur’s hermeneutic phenomenology and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA), this research delves into the meaning of CSF from the perspective of internal auditors, including its adaptation to local organizational culture and the factors shaping its effectiveness. Key findings reveal that CSF transcends its role as a technical guide, acting instead as a driver for cybersecurity culture transformation. This study’s implications emphasize the necessity of cross-departmental collaboration, context-specific security policy departments, and the enhancement of internal auditor competencies. The novelty of this research lies in its application of in-depth interpretative analysis, showing CSF as an adaptive tool fostering cybersecurity systems attuned to Indonesia’s unique characteristics.

Abstract

Burnout among public sector employees is an important issue due to the high work demands and pressures in the government environment, which impacts individual well-being and organizational performance. This study examines the effect of transformational leadership (TFL) and role overload on burnout among public sector employees, focusing on the moderating role of human resource management (HRM) practices. Data was collected from 415 employees of Statistics Indonesia (BPS) and analyzed using Partial Least Squares Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM). The results showed that TFL plays a significant role in reducing burnout by providing vision, motivation, and support to employees. On the other hand, role overload was also identified as an important contributor to increasing employee burnout. In addition, the findings of this study highlight the dark side of excessive HRM that can weaken the positive effects of transformational leadership and have the potential to worsen employee burnout, so a balanced HRM approach that is oriented towards employee well-being is needed. Overall, this study provides insight into the interaction between TFL, role overload, and HRM and offers valuable knowledge for stakeholders related to HRM practices in the public sector.
