Abstract

This research aims to analyze the effect of own-source revenue, general allocation grant, special allocation fund, and special autonomy fund to economic growth in Aceh district/urban district from 2008 to 2011. To estimate economic growth, this research used the rate of RGDP  growth  for dependent  variable. While own-source revenue, general allocation grant, special allocation fund, and special autonomy funds are research’s  independent  variables.  This study took panel data with Fixed Effect Model (FEM) for the method and seven districts and three urban districts in Aceh Province for the sample. The result shows that economic growth explained by own-source revenue, general allocation grant, special allocation fund, and special autonomy fund by 87,30 percent (Adjusted R2). Then, economic growth able to be effected by own- source revenue, general allocation  grant, special allocation  fund, and  special autonomy fund by 21,64 percent (f-statistic).DOI: 10.15408/sjie.v4i2.2303

Abstract

The objective of this research is to implement the tought of John Maynard Keynes about consumer behavior and also its antithesis. This study takes muslim as a research subject because Islam as a religion own an institution in order to regulate every muslim in doing consume. This research was expected to find out whether  the  development  of  Keynes’s  theory  (thesis  and  antithesis)  could  be implemented in muslim community or not. The variables which used in the model are ammount of consumption (Y), income rate (X1), age (X2), religiosity (X3), and distinguishing community (faculty) as a dummy. Through multiple regression with dummy variable method, from 60 muslim respondents in two different community, was  found  that  income  rate  (X1)  and  age  (X2)  was  effected  positively  and significant to ammount of consumption (Y), religiosity (X3) was effected negatively and significant to ammount of consumption (Y), while dummy variable which  is distinguishing community (faculty) was not effected significantly to ammount of consumption  (Y).  Therefore  the  dummy  variable  has  dropped  out  from  the research model.DOI: 10.15408/sjie.v4i2.2304

Abstract

This study is aimed to test the effect of Gross Domestic Regional Product (PDRB) Local Government Revenue (PAD), and Surplus of Budget Financing (SiLPA) on the Capital Expenditure for public service in districts Bogor. The data used are time series data, namely the period 2003 - 2013. Analytical method used is double linear regression or OLS (Ordinary Least Square). The result of this research shows that either altogether or in partial, Gross Domestic Regional Product (PDRB), Local Government Revenue (PAD) and Surplus of Budget Financing (SiLPA) positive and significant impact on capital expenditures in the District Bogor. Variable Surplus of Budget Financing and Local Government Revenue have a considerable influence on capital expenditure. Regression models are made to explain 77.47% of the variance of capital expenditure in District BogorDOI: 10.15408/sjie.v4i2.2305

Abstract

Corporate governance for Islamic banking has a unique feature compared with banking conventional. It is required to complement the existing governance framework with shariah governance system to ensure the shariah compliance of all Islamic banking’s operational. Therefore, this study aims to analyze the effect of the practice of shariah governance to the quality of GCG implemented by Islamic banks. Practices of shariah governance are measured by number of shariah board members, doctoral qualification of shariah board and frequency of shariah board meeting. The study finds that shariah governance has a significant impact to the increase quality of GCG in Islamic banks. Another interesting finding is that the increase of credit risk (NPF) leads to the worse of Islamic banks’ corporate governance. ROA and CAR have no significant effect to the quality of corporate governance in Islamic banks. The study recommends that the Islamic banks should improve their shariah governance practices in order to increase their governance performance as well as public confidenceDOI: 10.15408/sjie.v4i2.2301

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to determine whether PAD, DAU and DAK influence to government local expenditure according to Simultaneous and Partial both in areas that are in West Java and also to determine whether there has been a flypaper effect in areas that are in the West Java on 2008 – 2012.  Object of this study focuses on the entire region in West Java Province, totaling 26 districts / cities.The method of analysis used in this study is a data panel with Pooled Least Square (PLS). The results of this study stated that partial PAD, DAU and DAK significantly influence to government local expenditure in the region of West Java province on 2008 – 2012, because Probability value of PAD is 0,000 < 0,05. DAU is 0,000 < 0,05, and DAK is 0,02 < 0,05. Simultaneously PAD, DAU and DAK also significantly affect to government local expenditure because probsbility value is 0,000 < 0,05. In this study, results were obtained that did not happen flypaper effect where revenue source is derived from the PAD was greater affect the amount of spending in the next yearDOI: 10.15408/sjie.v4i2.2306

Abstract

The purpose of this study was to analyze the efficiency of government spending in the health sector of West Java province in improving public health as measured by indicators of health status that is Infant Mortality Rate, Mother Mortality Rate, and Life Expectancy Rate in all regencies / cities in West Java Province. DEA method used to achieve these goals. DEA works with measures to identify the units to be evaluated, the input and output of the unit. Furthermore, the calculated value of productivity and identify the unit which does not use inputs efficiently or effectively produces no output. Research indicates that although every region in the province of West Java there is an increase in the health budget annually will produce additional output (facilities and health services) are few and have not been up to meet basic health needs for the community. Budget areas that have not been efficient is because of Rp. 421.8 billion total health budget of the province of West Java is not entirely used for the procurement of facilities and health services. Only 50% of it is Rp. 213 billion to be used one of them in the provision of health facilities and servicesDOI: 10.15408/sjie.v4i2.2302
