Abstract

Tuning is usually achieved when singing vocal-choir exercises, and performance techniques specific to the song being sung are used in it. The resulting tuning is achieved in the performance ensemble in the first instrument, and based on this experience, learning and artistic performance of the song becomes easier. The article describes the didactic principles of teaching musical literacy through music culture lessons.

Abstract

The article considers the ways a potential tourist would spend his/ her funds in three-day tour package in Samarkand city. For this purpose, a mathematical simulation model based on Monte Carlo method was used. As a result of the analysis, it was found that the total expenses of tourists were greatly influenced by the costs of transport and food.

Abstract

The study had been focusing to investigate on the Maybank’s stock performance as the top stock among the Kuala Lumpur Stock Exchange (KLSE) in Bursa Malaysia. The study had been addressing two major research questions which include “How Maybank’s stock performance fare against the stock market performance in KLSE?” and “How is the perspective of the investors towards the stock of Maybank?”. The research questions had been derived from the motivation of the gap in the previous study where there is lacking study on the top stocks’ performance had induced the study to focus on the study to understand the performance of the Maybank stock investment as well as the perspective of the investors towards the top stock like Maybank. The quantitative study had been carried out with the series of the statistical output including the reliability test, correlation analysis and regression analysis as well as the application on the comparative analysis to explore the understanding between the KLSE market index and Maybank stock. The results had showed that Maybank stock performance tends to be higher against the performance of the market index in KLSE signaling that the Maybank as the top stock in Bursa Malaysia is consistently higher in the long-term but failed to pose any evidence in similar event in the short-term. On the other hand, the investors had been sharing the very similar confidence level towards the Maybank stock investment against the Bursa Malaysia which provide the indication that the investors are confidence with the Maybank’s stock performance based on the growth in the stock market in Bursa Malaysia..

Abstract

This paper looked at Accountability in the University system in Nigeria and its Challenges. Secondary data were adopted for the paper. The secondary data were collected from online and print publications. The paper concluded that lack of political will, weak accountability culture, weak labour unions, weak participation of stakeholder, poor implementation of accountability policies, poor monitoring of universities by anti-corruption agencies and other regulatory institutions, political influence and lack of autonomy amongst others are the factors responsible for poor accountability in the university system in Nigeria. To address these challenges, the paper suggested that Federal and State Governments should develop the political will to ensure visitation panels are constituted every five years and the white paper released should be implemented as at when due, to promote accountability in the universities. University administrators and managers should be trained and retrained on the importance of ensuring and promoting the culture of accountability in the universities. The various labour unions in the universities should be proactive in ensuring accountability in the universities. Also, autonomy should be granted to the universities to eliminate political influence activities in the universities.

Abstract

This paper examined factors that is militating against digitalization of basic school education in Nigeria. Secondary data were used. The secondary data were gathered from print materials and online publications. The paper identified poor funding, shortage of digital facilities, power problem, poor internet connection, higher cost of digital facilities, poor digital skills and knowledge and shortage of digital experts, poor implementation problem, resistant to change and corruption as major problems that have militated against digitalization of basic education in Nigeria. The government should increase the funding of Basic education in Nigeria and more priorities should be given to the development of digital education. The government should provide adequate digital infrastructure facilities in all the Basic schools to aid accessibility and usability. Innovation Hubs/clusters should be set up in areas where they do not exist to make room for the laps that occurs in some areas in Nigeria, existing hubs should also partner with civil society groups to promote capacity building programs on digital education. The government should address the problem of power generation and distribution across the country. The government should invest more in the information communication technology to improve the connectivity level across the country etc.
