Abstract

At the end of the 19th century, at the beginning of the 20th century, the Jadidism movement, the social and political actions and the ideas they promoted served as an important factor for the spiritual life of that time. The Jadidlar movement included not only educational or cultural-educational activities, but also the development of social, political and legal culture, and the creation of the conceptual foundations of civil society. In the process of adoption of the new version of the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan, along with the study of the legal system of many developed countries, we can see that the views of modern intellectuals were also reflected in the changes. In this article, changes in the Constitution of the Republic of Uzbekistan are analyzed in harmony with the ideas of modernism.

Abstract

Infrastructure development is often positioned as a symbol of urban progress, but in practice, it often creates inequality of access and mobility, especially for marginalized groups. This research aims to examine how infrastructure is produced, interpreted, and contested in the daily lives of suburban urban communities in Makassar. With a critical ethnography approach, data was collected through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and field documentation, and then analyzed using the theory of spatial production (Lefebvre), dispossession (Harvey), habitus and social capital (Bourdieu), and Actor-Network Theory (Latour). The results of the study show that infrastructure in Makassar is not neutral, but rather an exclusive space that strengthens social inequality. Societies exhibit various forms of symbolic resistance—from replenishment of empty spaces to cultural adaptation to new systems. These findings show that space is a field of contention that continues to be produced and negotiated. This research emphasizes the importance of building inclusive and participatory infrastructure, by making citizens not just development objects, but active actors in the formation of urban space.

Abstract

This article provides information on the philosophical analysis of the soul and purity according to Fazl ibn Ahmad. The relationship between the soul and purity is discussed in his work “Iddatul Uqul” and “Umdatul Ma’qul” (The Promises of the Intellect and the Foundations of What the Intellect Considers Appropriate). In the process of building New Uzbekistan, the teachings of Rumi, especially the ideas of Fazl ibn Ahmad, remain significant in educating young people to become spiritually sound individuals and in elevating them morally in today’s complex era. Today, the effective use of Fazl ibn Ahmad’s “Iddatul Uqul” and “Umdatul Ma’qul” (The Promises of the Intellect and the Foundations of What the Intellect Considers Appropriate) in social development, societal welfare, and the fulfillment of human needs is emphasized.

Abstract

The article investigates the theoretical and methodological underpinnings for examining the socio-ethical views of Timurid philosophers, the hermeneutic basis of these viewpoints, and the pedagogical implications of these views in the context of New Uzbekistan. Furthermore, the methodological grounds for applying Timurid-era intellectuals’ socio-ethical views to New Uzbekistan have been examined. Despite the fact that several scientific studies have been conducted in the history of philosophy on the study of the science and culture of the Timurid dynasty, the essence of the socio-moral views of the thinkers of the Timurid era has not been specifically studied from the perspective of the present day. Therefore, in this article, a comprehensive study of the socio-moral views of the thinkers of the Timurid era based on a hermeneutic approach is of urgent scientific importance.
