Abstract

Compression is a technique used to reduce the size of the data that serves to reduce memory capacity and speed up the data transfer process. In this study, the method used is the Shannon Fano method and the Fibonacci Code. In the Shannon Fano method the compression process is carried out by knowing the frequency of occurrence of each symbol which will then be sorted from the largest to the smallest frequency, while the Fibonacci Code method uses the Fibonacci integer series to encode the bit value of the data or file to be compressed. The file to be compressed is an audio file with an MP3 extension, to perform compression in reducing the size of the audio file, the technique used is lossless. Lossless technique is a compression technique that can restore compressed files converted to their original form (decompression). The algorithms used in file compression both use lossless techniques. Files that have been compressed using the Shannon Fano and Fibonacci Code methods will be compared to find out which method is more efficient in compressing audio files. The results showed that the method of Shannon Fano and Fibonacci can compress audio files. Based on the analysis of the compression ratio results generated using the Shannon Fano algorithm, there was a 69% change using 48 data samples, while the compression ratio results generated using the Fibonacci algorithm experienced a 66% change using the same 48 data samples as the Shannon Fano algorithm

Abstract

An outstanding debt collector must have presence, honesty, teamwork and achievement to improve the debt collector's performance. Problems in selecting outstanding debt collectors at PT. Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Medan is an election team that finds it difficult to carry out elections quickly and accurately. The decision making technique in the SMARTER (Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique Exploiting Ranks) method is based on the theory that each alternative consists of a number of criteria that have values ​​and each criterion has a weight that describes how important it is compared to other criteria. Application of the Simple Multi-Attribute Rating Technique Exploiting Rank method for selecting outstanding debt collectors at PT. Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Medan provides an accuracy of 23% using the relative standard deviation formula. It is hoped that to overcome this, a Decision Support System for Selection of Outstanding Debt Collectors at PT was built. Wahana Ottomitra Multiartha Medan Implements the SMARTER Method which will be designed using Visual Basic 2008 and using MySQL. In the Visual Basic design, a calculation and ranking process will be produced

Abstract

Online news selection is the activity of selecting several news stories by assessing each news item based on existing criteria, this process is carried out by the Editor-in-Chief. News that is interesting and has high value will be placed at the front and become the main news. Packaging in news media has its own appeal, because it will attract people to read news in each news media. Inaccuracy in selecting online news and the length of the news selection process. So the online news that is published often does not provide accurate information, and can have a negative impact on readers. Based on the problems above, a decision support system will be built to determine the selection of online news that will be published using the Profile Matching method. In this research, the Profile Matching method is applied with the aim of providing the best solution in determining the selection of online news that will be published on PT. Zaki Angkasa Hamdani. Based on the criteria set by PT. Zaki Angkasa Hamdani used in this research, namely: News Title, News Writing, Data Completeness and Data Quality. This aims to make it easier to determine priorities for selecting online news that will be published more quickly and accurately so that later it can be more helpful to PT. Zaki Angkasa Hamdani in determining the selection of online news that will be published on PT. Zaki Angkasa Hamdani. Based on the results obtained from the ranking value for the selection of online news that will be published, there is a news with the title Pegasus Pancur Batu Police Ringkus HP Robber (A2) with a value of 6,964, so it can be proposed as online news that will be published based on the results of the selection that has been carried out.

Abstract

An assessment of a position is very important for a company in order to improve good performance. One of them is a goods driver, some of the duties of a goods driver at CV.Solusi are to maintain the safety and condition of the goods to be sent. The assessment of the best goods drivers is a form of assessment of the quality and quantity produced by the drivers. The problem faced by CV.Solution in assessing the best goods drivers is the lack of transparency and only relying on the memory of the party making the decision. Based on the problems that have been described, the process of assessing the best goods driver requires a Decision Support System (DSS) which can assist in making more effective decisions regarding the assessment of the best goods driver. Building a SPK using the OCRA method and ROC weighting in creating a system can make it easier for users to do this. The results of this research show that there is a Decision Support System (DSS) with the implementation of the OCRA and ROC methods, the assessment carried out by CV.Solusi produces focused and directed decisions so that the decision results are effective and efficient.

Abstract

The problem in this study is matching face objects to recognize a person's identity that can be used in the field of data security, so to secure a data is encoded by using a facial image so that data access is maintained from parties who do not need to access it. One solution to the problems described above is to apply a method that can recognize the sutu object. One method that is often used is Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT). Scale Invariant Feature Transform (SIFT) is a method for detecting and describing local features in an image. The author did not find the same Title of the previous study, but the author found the previous research using the same method among others. From the results obtained in table 4.1, this method is able to identify faces by comparing keypoint values, where as in step 7 the keypoint obtained against the previous sample image only has 2 keypoints produced, where the sample face image has 64 keypoints while the results obtained on the test image have 66 keypoints.
