Abstract

The Nazar box at GMIT is not something foreign to the congregation. The box is placed at the front along with other offerings. Nazar is a pledge uttered by a person to God in the truth that must be kept. Nazar has been passed down from generation to generation to children. The purpose of this research is to describe the biblical view of Nazar. The researcher wanted to know the views of the GMIT Luz Fatukoa congregation regarding vows. The relevance of biblical views and vows. Researchers used a phenomenological qualitative method. This investigation was carried out by looking at the facts that occurred in the field. The Luz Fatukoa congregation's results understood more about vows as gratitude, and fewer congregations understood vows as promises to God. This view is not following the Bible because it is in the Bible. Nazar is a word that comes out of the lips and must be done faithfully. Nazar involves man's promise to God that cannot be denied. Researchers found vows that were understood as an expression of gratitude.

Abstract

The role of fathers in educating children is still lacking. Children lack role models and expectations, flexible time and a lack of community. Because Dad makes a living from morning till night. The father's role for generation Z and A (Alpha) children is significant, considering that children exist in the digital era. The influence of information and technology and the values ??that are different and even contrary to the Bible's values have a considerable impact. The author uses descriptive qualitative methods. This research is intended to make fathers understand their strategic role in educating children in the digital generation, both for the children themselves, for families, churches and the world community. The father's primary calling is to model his attendance to Christ, which is his children's eternal legacy.

Abstract

ABSTRAK The purpose of this article is to explain that Job's suffering was not the result of personal sin. Thus the accusations of Job's colleagues about the source of Job's suffering were refuted. The writer takes the descriptive method to discuss this topic in more depth. From this study, the author obtained the fact that the accusations of Job's colleagues about the cause of Job's suffering were based solely on their assumptions, not according to facts. At the end of Job's suffering, God Himself came to Job and reached out to restore Job. Through Job's suffering, God has proven that Satan is a liar because all his tactics to bring Job down were not permitted by God. It seems very clear that the final mouth of his suffering was meant for God to be exalted in Job's life.

Abstract

Indonesia is the most plural country in the world. Pluralism in Indonesia also concerns religion. The role of the Church and the Servant of God is very important in dealing with intolerant behavior between religions in the pluralism of the Unitary State of the Republic of Indonesia. This research is a descriptive qualitative research that uses literature research methods and data collection using the literature study method. The purpose of this research is to find out how the role of the Church and the Servant of God in dealing with intolerant behavior and religious hardliners within the framework of the Republic of Indonesia. Using descriptive qualitative methods with a phenomenological approach through literature studies designed to collect, analyze and compile systematic and scientific valid data from literature materials relevant to this research, so that the conclusion of this study is that the Church and the Servant of God have an important role. to be proactive in maintaining and dealing with intolerant behavior towards Christians in Indonesia by being responsible for educating Christians in Indonesia so that they do not have radical sectarianism that leads to aggressive and intolerant behavior towards adherents of other religions. The Church and the Servant of God must realize that every citizen has the right that is protected by the state to worship according to the religion and belief of each citizen. If there is an intervention against Christians exercising their religious rights, the Church and the Servant of God must act to defend their rights as citizens according to the laws in force in Indonesia by making various efforts including through inter-religious dialogue approaches, social approaches, political approaches and formal legal approaches according to the law applies in Indonesia.

Abstract

The practice of polygamy is a common thing among the general public such as Christians, Muslims, Hindus and Buddhists as well as among other religions, polygamy is a very significant family problem. In terms of Christian faith, polygamy is one of the problems that is very contrary to true marriage. Marriage is a family institution that was created by God from the beginning, namely before humans fell into sin, starting with the first family, namely Adam and Eve. It is clear that in Christian teachings, polygamy is a behavior that is prohibited in everyday life, especially in the family. Polygamy is having more than one wife. While the Bible does not teach a husband to have several wives. God does not want marriage more than one wife (Genesis 2:24) states that a man will be united with his wife so that the two of them will become one flesh. In obtaining data, the author uses a literature research study, which is to explore various literatures in depth and analyze the data descriptively to find out the real situation.
