Abstract

Abstract: This article explores the integration of the Qur'anic concept of tabayyun with the Banjar philosophy "Bisa-Bisa Maandak Awak" as a foundation for social ethics in the digital era. The topic is chosen in response to the rising spread of unverified information that often leads to social conflict. Tabayyun, as a principle of prudence in Islam, aligns with Banjar local wisdom that emphasizes self-control and social harmony. This study employs a qualitative method using library research, thematic Qur'anic interpretation, and cultural analysis. Primary data include Q.S. al-Ḥujurāt [49]:6 and literature on Banjar philosophy. The findings reveal a strong alignment between Qur'anic values and local traditions in shaping a media-literate, ethical society. This integration creates a contextual and Islamic-based model of digital social ethics. The result is significant for developing culturally grounded da'wah and character education as a strategy to promote religious moderation and social resilience. Abstract

The batatamba tradition of the Banjar people is not merely a form of traditional healing but a living manifestation of Islamic spirituality that unites the body, soul, and divine consciousness. This study aims to explore the Sufi meanings embedded within batatamba as a holistic healing model that continues to thrive amid the rise of modern medicine. Using a qualitative descriptive-reflective approach, the research combines participant observation, personal reflection, and in-depth interviews with patamba (traditional healers) and patients. The findings reveal that practices such as bapidara, batutungkal, minta banyu, batimung, manyamak, and baurut are not limited to physical therapy but embody spiritual dimensions of dhikr (remembrance of God), tawakkul (trust in God), tazkiyatun nafs (purification of the soul), and barakah (divine blessing), fostering inner peace and closeness to Allah Swt. The integration of Sufism and traditional medicine positions batatamba as a symbol of harmony between knowledge and faith, humanity and nature. Core values such as tawhid (divine unity), sincerity, compassion, and spiritual awareness reflect that batatamba is not simply a healing act, but a spiritual journey toward balance and wholeness. Thus, this tradition stands as a valuable heritage of Islam Nusantara deeply relevant for modern society in its search for true health: a state of physical well-being and spiritual serenity. Abstract

Abstract: The phenomenon of cultural acculturation is the result of interactions between different cultures within a single geographical area. In the Tapal Kuda region of East Java, the community demonstrates a unique blend of Madurese and Javanese cultures, particularly in religious practices. This study aims to examine the forms of acculturation between Islam and local culture, the dynamics of the relationship between Madurese and Javanese traditions, and the types of syncretism that have developed within East Javanese society. This research employs a descriptive qualitative approach through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and literature review. The findings indicate that cultural and religious acculturation in East Java occurs dynamically and harmoniously, enriching Islamic expression without diminishing the essence of religious teachings. Abstract

Abstract: The Maulid Nabi tradition in Kaduberuk Village, Banten Province is a local religious practice that combines cultural values and Islamic teachings through various Islamic competitions that have been held for many years. This activity is not only a celebration but also a means of internalizing Quranic values, especially the concept of fastabiqul khairat or competing in goodness. This study aims to understand the meaning of fastabiqul khairat in this tradition and to see its application in the social and religious life of the community. The study uses a qualitative method with an ethnographic approach through participatory observation, in-depth interviews, and documentation, and is analyzed using the Miles and Huberman model with triangulation validation and member checking. The results show that the value of fastabiqul khairat is reflected in mutual cooperation, community contributions, and active participation in religious competitions. In addition, this tradition has given rise to the practice of Living Qur'an, marked by the assignment of ongoing worship duties to the winners of the competition, such as becoming a muezzin or leader of the marhaban. In conclusion, the Maulid tradition in Kaduberuk Village functions as a collective space that fosters spiritual awareness, social solidarity, and the practice of Quranic teachings in daily life, so that it is not only an annual ritual but also a medium for shaping the religious values of the community.
