Abstract

The maritime radar is a mobile station used by ships to cover large areas in Indonesian waters. Maritime radar is used to monitor Indonesia's marine waters. One of the maritime radar subsystems is the antenna. The antenna emits the electromagnetic waves into the air to detect an object. In this study, a 1 × 4 circular patch array microstrip antenna is proposed. This antenna is applied to maritime radar working in the frequency range of 2.2 – 4.2 GHz that are allocated by the Ministry of Communication and Information of the Republic of Indonesia. From the simulation results, the proposed antenna provides a return loss of -66.29 dB, and a gain of 7.14 dB at 3.2 GHz.

Abstract

BCH-algebra is a non-empty set with the binary operation * and the constant 0, and statisfying the certain axioms. A mapping of d from X to itself is said to be a derivation in BCH-algebra if d is both (l, r)-derivation and (r, l)-derivation in BCH-algebra, where X is BCH-algebra. This article discusses the concepts of (l, r)-(f, g)-derivation, (r, l)-(f, g)-derivation, and (f, g)-derivation in BCH-algebra, and investigates the properties (l, r)-(f, g)-derivation, (r, l)-(f, g)-derivation and (f, g)-derivation in BCH-algebra.

Abstract

Biomass dryer (BD) was a useful device to improve the time efficiency of drying activities in traditional systems. The fuel source of biomass can be obtained from agricultural wastes, such as corn cobs and coconut shells. The classic problem of BD is the inhomogeneous temperature inside the chambers, which leads to damage to the product if the air circulation is not controlled. This study utilizes an electronic controller to automatically manage airflow by a fan and open the window to obtain a homogenous temperature in each chamber. The window will be opened instantly if the temperature inside the chambers exceeding 46°C. This testing sample product is a cracker, locally called ‘krupuk’.  Cracker is made from tapioca flour and dried for several days after cutting processes. Our previous test successfully improves time efficiency in drying the post-harvest agricultural product. The proposed dryer consists of cabinet with 3 chambers, an open fire drum, a couple of automatic windows, and an electronic board as a controller. The resulting test shows a homogenous temperature average for the 3 chambers is 50°C.

Abstract

BP-algebras is a non-empty set (X, *, 0) with the binary operation “*” satisfies the axioms (BP1) x * x = 0, (BP2) x * (x * y) = y, (BP3) (x * z) * (y * z) = x * y for all x, y, z = X . In this paper, we define the concept of (l, r) and (r, l) t-derivation in BP-algebra and investigate their properties. Based on the concepts of (l, r) and (r, l) t-derivation in BP-algebra, the properties of t-derivation in BP-algebra are constructed.

Abstract

This paper investigates the ionization of butane and propane gas in the formation of carbon plasma with air impurities. The formation of carbon plasma is designed and operated by using a commercial pencil graphite electrode with a directionally electrical discharge method of less than 3.5 kV, injecting butane and propane gas with a mixture of air, pressure variations into the tube. Experimental results show the voltage and current before and after the breakdown voltage. The density and temperature of the plasma carbon are calculated from the current and the breakdown voltage. These results depicts that the ionization of air at a pressure of 12 cmHg (570 V) produces a breakdown voltage of 530 – 570 V and current of 0.27 – 0.45 mA, whereas at pressure of 37 cmHg (1160 V) produces breakdown voltage of 900 – 1100 V and current of 0.46 – 0.6 mA. The ionization of the butane and propane (with impurities of air) at pressure of 26 cmHg (1199 V and 1137 V) produces breakdown voltage of 831 – 1202 V, 839 – 1138 V and current of 0.07 – 0.65 mA, 0.08 – 0.63 mA. At the pressure of 46 cmHg (1828 V and 1590 V) produces breakdown voltage of 1246 – 1781 V, 1021 – 1627 V and current of 0.04 – 0.99 mA, 0.05 – 1.12 mA. These results indicate that the carbon plasma density increases with the increase of electrical voltage. This report shows good agreements for developing the growth of carbon nano tube on the surface of cathode which is generally always followed by air impurities at high pressure.
