Abstract

PT XYZ is a company engaged in the synthetic leather manufacturing industry. PT XYZ often lacks raw materials which results in the production process not running smoothly and even stops. This is due to the company's production planning which still uses forecasting methods. The purpose of this research is to be able to control the supply of raw materials to prevent production delays. The method used is MRP (Material Requirement Planning) with the aim of knowing the amount and time of raw materials that must be available for the smooth production process.  The results showed that with the MRP method, the company can provide raw materials for production appropriately and have good information about the time to order raw materials so as not to experience a shortage of raw materials in inventory.

Abstract

The use of organic fertilizers in Indonesia is increasing, this is due to the scarcity of synthetic fertilizers. Organic fertilizers have their own challenges in terms of the concentration they contain. In addition, some organic materials that exist today are very abundant, so it needs to be used as organic fertilizer, one of which is betel leaf. However, betel leaf itself is an additional ingredient that can increase the existing nutrient content. In this study, analysis of the macro elements in organic fertilizers was carried out by adding variations in the amount of betel leaf raw material. The research was conducted using variations of betel leaf extract 2%, 4%, and 6%. The test analysis in this study was in the form of N, P, and K levels. The results showed that the highest N content was in the 4% betel leaf variation, which was 0.1%, the highest P content was in the 2% variation, which was 0.04%, and the highest K content was at 2% variation, namely 0.066%. From these results, it can be said that there was no significant effect of the addition of betel leaf extract on the macro-nutrient content of liquid organic fertilizer.

Abstract

One of the preparations that can be made with the basic ingredients of kepok bananas is banana sale. Processed banana sale in this study used three levels of banana ripeness, namely greenish yellow, shiny yellow, and brownish yellow with black spots. The purpose of this study was to determine the reduction in mass in the manufacture of sale bananas, to determine the level of sweetness of sale bananas from three different maturity levels, to determine the drying time of bananas from different maturity levels with various water content, and to determine the preference level of the three maturity levels. banana sale. The method used is the RAK method (Completely Randomized Design) and using SPSS software. The analysis was carried out on the level of sweetness, preference, and water content. The results showed that the water content at the maturity level of greenish yellow was 17.66%, the maturity level for shiny yellow was 17.33% and the maturity level was brownish yellow with black spots was 18%. The sweetness level of greenish yellow bananas is 13.66%, the maturity level is shiny yellow is 28.33%, the maturity level is brownish yellow with black spots is 29.66%. The higher the maturity level of the banana, the higher the level of sweetness of the banana. From the results of the preference level of sale bananas from the maturity level of greenish yellow, shiny yellow and brownish yellow with black spots, the preferred level of preference is the maturity level of shiny yellow.

Abstract

Red dragon fruit (Hylocereus polyrhizus L) is a horticultural plant from the Cactaceae family that has a high sweetness level of around 13-15°Brix and a large water content of around 90%. Based on this, further processing is needed so that the nutritional value can be maintained and extend the shelf life. One way that can be done is to process it into fruit juice drinks. Dragon fruit juice is a form of diversification of fresh dragon fruit made into soft drinks through the process of squeezing or crushing the fruit with or without additional food ingredients. The obstacle that occurs during the process of making juice is the appearance of sediment when stored. Therefore, a stabilising agent is needed in the preparation of fruit juice to keep the solid particles evenly dispersed. The purpose of this study was to determine the characteristics of red dragon fruit juice and analyse the effect of CMC concentration and storage duration on the characteristics of red dragon fruit juice. The results of the characteristics of red dragon fruit juice on the observation variable of total soluble solids have a value range of 9.288-11.215 °Brix, pH has a value range of 5.147-5.573, viscosity has a value range of 57.644-91.22cP, stability has a value range of 32.81-50.78%, the level of brightness has a value range of 24.760-28.324, the level of redness has a value range of 9.619-18.394, the level of yellowness has a value range of -1.927-1.560.

Abstract

This research intends to detect the existence of uncontrolled quality control in plastic injection molding companies, with refrigerator lamp cover products. Quality control is conducted using the statistical quality control (SQC) method with tools such as check sheets, histograms, and control charts. Check sheets and histograms were used to make it easier to present the data for further analysis. Furthermore, a control chart was used to detect whether the cacative product was still under statistical control or not. The result of the analysis using the p control chart indicated that there was a production process in an uncontrolled state on the 11th day of the production process. The x-chart and R-chart control charts didn't need to be revised because the production was still within the control limits. Therefore, Cp values = 0.3665<1.33 and Cpk = 0.2819<1.33 indicate that the company’s process capability is not good. Therefore, it is suggested that the company take immediate action to solve the problem. By utilizing this research, the injection molding company can take preventive and corrective action in the early stages.
