Abstract

In general, coal fossil fuel reserves are the main load in the industry, especially in the use of boiler engines. Coal comprises carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, nitrogen, sulfur, and mineral compounds. A boiler engine is a machine that produces high-pressure water vapor by heating water through fuels such as coal. The water vapor can then be used for various purposes, such as heating oil in the oil manufacturing industry, especially PT. Meadow Rays. Steam is an effective and inexpensive medium for transferring heat to a process. Coal plays an important role in the operation of boiler engines because coal is one of the fuels that is often used in the heating process. The quality of the coal can affect the quality of the steam produced by the boiler engine. Suitable coal shape for boilers at PT. Meadow rays are generally solid or solid, such as chunks, fractional coal, or bituminous coal that has a large coal size that has a mesh size between 3.2 mm to 6.3 mm or about 1/8 to 1/4 inch. This is because the solid, dense form of coal has a higher density and lower porosity, so it can retain heat better and provide a smaller surface for the combustion process. Coal users must be provided to PT. Sinar Meadow must have a minimum calorie of 6300 kcal/kg, for the efficiency and safety of the boiler at PT. Meadow Rays. Therefore, paying attention to the coal quality used in boiler engines is important to produce high-quality and efficient steam.

Abstract

One of the components used in power plants in boilers is the water heater. Of course, it has a very important role in the power plant. Its function is that it is very tight in the steam power plant, making the air heater work 24 hours, so its use is quite important. Knowing the function and usefulness of the Air Heater is important enough to require proper preventive. PT. Indonesia Power Suralaya PGU applies very strict Maintenance because of the losses experienced if the plant has damage which causes the unit to be forced to stop then the loss experienced is also very large. Preventive Maintenance performed on the Air Heater is done by looking at the condition visually and sound as the cornerstone of the repair analysis so that the treatment effort can be done well in terms of tightening, lubricating, and cleaning 32 minutes is the effective time an inspection is carried out whether there is significant damage or not. At the PM in the Air Heater found the effective run time every day is 2 hours 59 minutes when no indication of damage is found.

Abstract

Maintenance on the turbine must always be carried out, because if one component of the turbine engine is damaged, it will affect the entire performance of the turbine engine. The function of bearing lubrication in turbines is to prevent direct contact between the bearing and the turbine shaft. Therefore, lubrication is needed. Bearing lubrication on the turbine is a very important issue so that the turbine should not be rotated without lubrication will cause material damage. Preventive maintenance of turbines can be pursued by implementing QCC PM. Adding a portable purifier when excessive water content occurs, adjusting the pressure steam seal serves to prevent main steam from entering the bearing area which can cause high water content due to mixing of oil with water. Making a steam block serves to prevent steam from entering the bearing area lubricated by VG 46 medium oil, causing high water content. And routine maintenance to check the mesh aims to assess the feasibility of the mesh and the suitability of the needs of the cleanliness purifier oil system which can be seen from the CBM data, namely tribology monitoring.

Abstract

Fabrication is the arrangement of work of all components of the material, whether it is plates, pipes, steel, or other metals, that are then formed and sculpted from semi-finished material until it becomes a commodity that can be mounted into a chain of industrial or construction tools. All materials will be managed, received, stored, distributed, traceable and disposed of in accordance with material handling procedures. There are two reviews for the load on rigging, namely the horizontal load and the vertical load. The process of platform manufacturing starts with the process of marking, cutting, assembling, welding, and finishing. After that, the components will be blasted and painted. Once the manufacture is done, you can go straight to the installation stage. To go through the fabrication process requires calculations to match the values allowed to avoid unwanted things. The biggest load on the rigging load is 269.6 MT, which can determine which crane will lift the load allowed or not. The maximum load that can be lifted by a crane to lift a vent boom is 346.71 MT. For permitted thickness a variety of values according to the material used.

Abstract

Ducting is a supporting component of the HVAC system. (Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning). In other words, ducting can be used as an air supply, and as a channel for both cold and hot air, air drainage, air absorption, and ventilation. It is used to ensure that the air quality in the room is awakened according to the needs of the room. In the selection of material for ducting, one can consider various aspects. In this journal, the aspects considered are the corrosion rate, ultimate tensile strength, and the material price of the three types of materials, namely BJLS, aluminium, and stainless steel. Based on the results of the test and calculation, BJSL has the highest corrosion rate of about 0.62 Mpy on the 14th day, stainless steel has a corrosive rate of around 0.29 Mpy on the 14th day, and aluminum has the lowest rate of corrosiveness of about 0,27 Mpy at the 15th day.

Abstract

The stainless steel thin metal foils have wide application, especially for electronic industries. The problem hindered are high cost for mass production, the effect of phase transformation to the mechanical properties still not clear. The change of microstructure in austenitic stainless steel (ASS) after double annealing at 400oC and spheroid anneal treatment at 810oC in thin metal foils (TMF) of SUS 304 were studied experimentally, including Scanning Electron Microscope – Electron Back scaterred Difraction (SEM – EBSD) and five stages of the uniaxial tensile stress state. The martensitic phase transformation (MPT) and grain misorientation (GMO) compared each other both in fine grains and coarse grains. The MPT occur in ASS SUS 304 TMF. The GMO occur in SUS 304 Thin Metal Foils. The GMO spread homogeneous in fine grains and spread inhomogeneous in coarse grain. The GMO volume fractions in fine grains spread homogeneously. The GMO volume fractions in coarse grain spread inhomogeneously.
