Abstract

Statistics from the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP) noted that in 2019 the Aceh region had 29,713 fishing vessels. Fishing vessels are an important means for fishing business. With the production of fishing vessels, there will be a running shipbuilding industry. The shipyard serves as a place for shipbuilding as well as a place to repair damaged ships. Shipbuilding is a capture fisheries support industry that can meet the needs of repairs for fishing vessels that carry out loading and unloading at ports. There are three types of shipyards in Indonesia, namely traditional shipyards, semi-modern shipyards and modern shipyards. Shipbuilding business cannot operate optimally if there is less demand from consumers. One of the shipbuilding business industries in Aceh is in Lampulo Village, Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City, which is a shipyard that is still traditional. This study aims to determine the feasibility of a shipyard business located in Lampulo Village, Kuta Alam District, Banda Aceh City. The research method used in this research is to use financial analysis methods consisting of profit, Net Present Value (NPV), Net B/C Ratio, Internal Rate of Return (IRR), Payback Period (PP) and Break Event Point (BEP). Based on the data analysis conducted, it was found that the profit obtained was Rp. 13.746.986.912 over a period of 10 years, the NPV is Rp. 10.479.852.239, Net B/C Ratio of 2.3, IRR of 61%, PP of 1.57 or the rate of return on investment value of less than 3 year and BEP or the break-even point of business which is at point 0. Results This exceeds the business feasibility limit, so it can be concluded that the shipyard business in Lampulo Village, Banda Aceh City is in a feasible condition. Keywords: Composition, Kekeh Rays, PPI, Pulau Baai, Distribution

Abstract

The success factor in the cultivation of pomfret (Colossoma macropomum) is related to cultivation techniques, from parent selection to the quality of eggs at hatching. Hatching media must be free from parasites, in the form of bacteria, fungi and other disturbances that cause eggs to die. Parasite attacks on eggs can be prevented, one of which is natural ingredients that are safe to use such as turmeric (Curcuma domestical). The purpose of this study was to test the effectiveness of turmeric extract (Curcuma domestical) on egg hatchability and survival rate of pomfret fish (Colossoma macropomum) larvae. This study was structured using a completely randomized design (CRD) consisting of 5 treatments with 4 replications, namely: treatment A (Without C. domestical Extract), Treatment B (Concentration 5 ml/L C. domestical Extract), Treatment C (Concentration 10 ml/L C. domestical Extract) treatment D (Concentration 15 ml/L C. domestical Extract) and treatment E (Concentration 20 ml/L C. domestical Extract). The results showed that soaking pomfret eggs with a concentration of turmeric extract (Curcuma domestical) 15 ml/l gave a significant effect on egg hatchability by 58,25% and larval survival by 87,86%. The conclusion of this study is that soaking with turmeric extract at a concentration of 15 ml/L is not too significant for egg hatchability and survival of pomfret larvae. Keywords: Curcuma domestical extract, pomfret fish, egg hatchability, survival rate

Abstract

The waters of the city of Bengkulu, as one of the sources of livelihood for Baii Island fishermen, are located at position 03”47”30” South Latitude and 120”15”40” East Longitude, and have clusters of coral reefs according to the position and name of the coral reefs. Taping 1, Taping 2, Karang Sawang, Karang Lebar, Karang Gosong and other coral reefs are the destinations for fishermen to catch lobsters. Based on the results of field research on 3 fishing boats that catch lobsters using gill nets, obtained results; 11 stone prawns (Panulirus penicillatus) (36.70%) with carapace length between 11.2 – 16.7 cm, weight between 110 – 470 grams. Sand Shrimp (Panulirus homarus) 8 heads (26.70%), carapace length between 13.5 – 15.9 cm, weight between 200 – 300 grams. Pearl Shrimp (Panulirus ornatus), 5 individuals (16.60%) with carapace length between 15.6 – 17.7 cm, weight between 280 – 590 grams, and Bamboo Shrimp (Panulirus polyhagus) 6 individuals (20.00%) with carapace length between 12.9 – 18.7 cm, weight between 260 – 630 grams. From the results of the regression analysis using the formula, W = a Lb, it is known that b 3. Thus, the relationship between carapace length and weight is negative allometric, with the understanding that carapace length growth is not directly/significantly proportional to weight growth. Or in other words, the growth of carapace length is faster than the growth of lobster weight. Keywords: Gill net, lobster, Bengkulu city lobster fishermen

Abstract

Skipjack tuna is one of the marine products that is often consumed by the community. Skipjack tuna with good quality requires special handling, namely the fish freezing method. Freezing skipjack tuna aims to maintain the quality and freshness of the fish in the long term. The freezing process can inhibit bacterial growth, enzyme activity or oxygen oxidation which causes quality deterioration (decay) and causes damage to fish. The purpose of this field work practice service is to find out the process of freezing skipjack tuna (Katsuwonus pelamis) which is carried out at CV. Novira Abadi Banda Aceh. The method used is a participatory method, observation, interviews, and documentation by following directly in the frozen fish processing process. The results of the service showed that the freezing process of skipjack tuna carried out at CV. Novira Abadi consists of several stages, namely receiving raw materials, washing I, sorting, weighing, washing II, preparation in pans, labeling I, freezing, unloading, packaging and packing, labeling II, storing in cold storage, and stuffing. Keywords: Freezing, Skipjack Tuna, Fish Freshness, Quality
