Jurnal ARSI (Administrasi Rumah Sakit Indonesia) is a peer-reviewed journal that focuses on service administration and management in hospitals in Indonesia. The articles or scientific manuscripts published in the Jurnal ARSI (Administrasi Rumah Sakit Indonesia) include original research, case studies, and reviews supporting corporate governance, clinical governance, or both (bridging). Abstract

Decomposition Analysis System is operating a system that includes identification efforts objectives, activities, implementation of activities, the situation faced and information needed at each stage of system implementation. This study uses a blend of Systems Theory approach Donabedian-Azwar, the principal stages of Structural or Input Process-Output or Outcome to look at heart disease care system in hospitals Dr.Kanujoso Djatiwibowo Balikpapan 2014. The study was conducted from April to November 2015, using a design qualitative descriptive analytic method. Analysis was performed with the data derived from the study of medical documents cardiac patients in hospitals Dr Kanujoso Djatiwibowo Balikpapan in 2014, observation and depth interview with selected informants. The results showed a factor of structure or Inputs that influence mortality in cardiovascular disease care system in the Hospital Dr Kanujoso Djatiwibowo Balikpapan is Patient factors, human resources, facilities, and methods. Factors such as the process of service delivery, the doctor- nurse coordination and integration of services. It is recommended that the hospitals Dr Kanujosos Djatiwibowo Balikpapan perform additional doctors Heart Specialist, create one- stop service for cardiovasculardisease or Cardiac Center and increase cooperation orcoordination between the hospitals Dr Kanujosos Djatiwibowo with Primary Health Care Facility, City Health Department Balikpapan and house parties other hospitals in the city of Balikpapan.

Abstract

Adverse even (AE) in RSKBP ranged from 0.31% to 3.01% with a mortality rate of 2.22%.AE in RSKBP still considered under-reporting because most AE not reported. Building a culture of patient safety is an important element to improve patient safety and quality. This research aims to know the culture of patient safety and the factors related to the patient safety culture in RSKBP 2015. The study was conducted in March to April 2015, with a sample of 115 respondents it is Sequential explanatory research design. The data analysis with regression logistic.Patient safety culture in RSKBP still lacking. Factors related to the patient safety culture in RSKBP feedback is incident report (p = 0.021 α = 0.05, OR = 15.516) culture is not to blame (p = 0.019 α = 0.05, OR = 14.396) and a learning culture (p = 0.006 α = 0.05, OR = 0.096) .RSKBP sugest to improve patient safety culture with a comprehensive and structured efforts.

Abstract

One option to increase efficiency, service quality and patient safety in the United States of America is by using the Lean Thinking concept, which are implemented in Hospitals to become a Lean Hospital. In Atma Jaya Hospital, a class B study private hospital, the research analyses the workflow of prescription sevice in outpatient pharmacy departement to act as data for improvement analysis. Also, by utilizing Root Cause Analysis (RCA), operational research methology, in-depth observation and interviews are conducted at compounding and non-compounding medicine storage of Outpatient Patient Departement, the result shows non-value added activities reaches 85%, while value added activities are only 15% on non-compounding medicine storage. While, on compounding medicine storage, non-value added and value added activities are at 68% and 32% respectively. These data clearly shows that great inefficiencies has occurred. Solution is suggested to increase the efficiency in the department, changing Hospital Information System and activate the Quality Control Team function. If these steps are implemented, we can expect the overall efficiency in the Outpatient Pharmacy Departement to improve significantly and resulted in higher patient satisfaction

Abstract

Strategic plan is an integral part of the business organization. Leadership styles and variable in organization’s profile have an importantrole to attainment the target ofstrategic plan. Thisstudy was analyzing the relationship of leadership style and organization's profile to attain the target of 2015-2016 Catholic Hospitals’ Strategic Plan in Palembang, using cross sectional design with quantitative approach followed by qualitative approach. The study was conducted in two hospitals with B type and C type. The results showed that the dominant leadership style is supporting with the flexibility. Three variable of organizational profile (organization environ, organizational relation and organizational situation) half was not good. While target attainment of the strategic plan based on a balanced scorecard mostly show in not good results. The results of the bivariate analysis shown a significant association among hospital type and organizational situation towards target attainment of the strategic plan. This is supported by the statements of the informant who is a member of the board of directors of the Catholic Hospital in Palembang. Suggestion for hospital and owner: improvement of human resource management system, monitoring, evaluation and follow-up of the strategic plan and the establishment of a health care network from the first-level health facilities to survive in the era of Universal Health Coverage.

Abstract

There was 10-15% pending of claim because uncomplete medic in Dr. Kanujoso Djatiwiwo Hospital. The purpose of this study is to find factors affecting pending of claims of Badan Penyelenggara Jaminan Sosial Kesehatan as claims guidance and contract paper. Data sources has taken from pending of claims of dr Kanujoso Djatiwibowo hospital periode January – March 2016 and see the deeper problem behind this problems through informans. This study is quantitative qualitative research with analitic describtion method with retrospective study from pending of claims, interview and discussion. The result from this study shows factor affecting pending of claims is the absence ofspecialist doctor who responsible for the patien because there is double function from case manager that effect delaying completing electronic medical resume. Suggest to use immediately electronic medical record, splitting job for case manager and doctor on ward, increasing obedience to write patien data from beginning such as performance evaluation and integrated remuneration.

Abstract

Long waiting time of service in the Outpatient Unit describes the performance and quality of hospital’s service against its customers. The purpose of this research is to know the average length of outpatient waiting time as well as the factors associated with it, are reviewed through the approach of Malcolm Baldrige in health which includes: organization profile; leadership; strategic plan; focus on customers; measurement, analysis and management of knowledge; focusing on human resources; focus on process and outcomes. The research method used was the sequential explanatory, a mix methods between quantitative research that reinforced by qualitative research. Quantitative data collection by way of observation, calculation and recording patient waiting time. Qualitative data obtained through in-depth interviews are structured and do study related documents. The results showed that the average value of long outpatient waiting time is 66.58 minutes per patient means exceeding the standard minimum of service time, ≤ 60 minutes as defined by the Health Ministry of the Republic of Indonesia. The analysis results of the factors related to long waiting time outpatient showed that seven criteria of Malcolm Baldrige is so related to the average value of the long outpatient waiting time.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to analyze antibiotics inventory control using ABC critical index method at Meilia Hospital in 2014. The design of this research is a descriptive quantitative research. In this research the data is based on the consumed antibiotics in January to December 2014 and the critical index value of antibiotics. The result showed that the group A consisted of 10 items with a value of Rp 2.114.748.870,- (39.91%). The group B consisted of 45 items with a value of Rp 2.380.506.460,- (44.92%). The group C consisted of 110 items with a value of Rp 803.183.274,- (15.17%). An inventory control analysis was done by calculating EOQ and ROP of the group A. The three methods of forecasting were used in this research, i.e Single Smoothing Exponential, 3 period Moving Average, and 3 period Weighted Moving Average. Forecasting method that will be used is determined by the level of accuracy and the influence of forecast result on hospital cost
