Abstract

Traditioanl art in the era of popular culture has begun to be abandoned. One form of traditional art can be used as a medium of propaganda. This research want to see hoe the existetence, fungtion and value of traditional art Kubro Siswo in the era of popular culture. The method used in this research is descriptive – analysis. The results show traditional art still in demand because it has its own fascination after transformation happened. The transformation is a result of planned chance from the internal aspect. While the function of the art that still can be used as syiar media and also as social relation bond. While the values there are accepted by the society toward those only limited on entertainment, not yet understood its philosopical values. However with those art, the society can be used as facility to strengththen and increase quality of the relationship one another.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to determine the motives and needs of the audience in accessing and watching video preaching Habib Syech bin Abdul Qodir Assegaf on youtube social media. This research uses primary data that is data obtained from Habib Syech bin Abdul Qodir Assegaf or so-called Syekhermania as key informant and information obtained through interview. The type of this research is descriptive qualitative research. The result of this research is known that the motives of syekhermania in accessing video of Da'wah Habib Syech through youtube have the aspect of need that is curiosity about information, the need for an entertainment which found in accessing youtube, the need of its nature to make the muballigh as an example in its life, the need to socialize with the community and the last is the need that just want to get away from various problems.

Abstract

CDA of Fairclough model is applied to investigate the news of the death of Siyono, the suspected terrorist in SoloPos newspaper. Three levels of analysis are used to criticize the discourse, namely texts, discourse practice, and sociocultural practice. It reveals that SoloPos chooses some words that tend to be more neutral in the news. SoloPos has also the independent position in exposing the news without any intervention from other parts. It seems helps to create condusive and  peaceful circumstances in Solo in informing the news to the society.

Abstract

Commercial sex workers often get rejection, discrimination and negative stigmatization from the community. Even so, there are still many women in Indonesia who work as commercial sex workers. Among them are some commercial sex workers who want to repent and get out of prostitution. This article focuses on describing the efforts of commercial sex workers so that they have the awareness and determination to repent. The use of descriptive qualitative methods on the subject of research originating from former commercial sex workers and guidance counselors suggests that the guidance model implemented in the Asy-Syifa Assembly by combining social and spiritual aspects is capable of motivating commercial sex workers to repent. Implementation of socio-spiritual guidance is manifested through the provision of knowledge, attitude and social interaction, as well as support in the form of advice and motivation.

Abstract

Mosque is an instrument of empowerment of people who have a very strategic role in efforts to improve the quality and can unite the community. This article aims to describe the role of the Al-Fatah mosque as a pluralistic and socially pluralistic community empowerment center. The main data comes from interviews and observations, while the method used is qualitative descriptive. This article concludes that the empowerment of the pluralist society around Al-Fatah mosque is done by optimizing the role of all community groups in various mosque activities. The mosque can be the center of activity of all community groups because its activities are not limited to religious activities only, but cover other social social.

Abstract

From this book Hikmah Wisdom writer wanted to know how the message of social piety framed and constructed by Komaruddin Hidayat. The method used is constructionist paradigm with qualitative descriptive approach with framing analysis model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. Kosicki. Based on the analysis of the model of Zhongdang Pan and Gerald M. From this research it can be concluded that the book Ungkapan Hikmah with four titles related to the message of social piety emphasizes the attitude of tolerance and peace, this is evidenced by Komaruddin Hidayat's ideas that often emphasize the importance of mutual respect in the midst of differences to create peaceful conditions as an implication of one's faith in Allah SWT.
