Abstract

This study aims to examine the mechanisms of Islamic fund mobilization implemented by BMT NU Kota Kraksaan through savings and member deposit products based on wadiah and mudharabah contracts, to understand the process of Islamic financing distribution along with the contracts applied, and to analyze the conformity of BMT’s operational practices with Islamic banking theory. This research employs a qualitative approach using a case study method. The research location is BMT NU Kota Kraksaan, Probolinggo Regency. Research informants include the BMT manager, staff/employees, and members or customers directly involved in Islamic fund mobilization and financing products. Data were collected through observation, interviews, and documentation, while data analysis was conducted using descriptive qualitative methods. The findings indicate that BMT NU Kota Kraksaan has consistently implemented Islamic fund mobilization products based on wadiah and mudharabah contracts in accordance with Sharia principles. On the financing side, BMT distributes funds through murabahah, mudharabah, musyarakah, ijarah, and qardh contracts, which are predominantly utilized as capital for members’ micro-enterprises. BMT’s operational practices also demonstrate the application of transparency, fairness, and partnership principles between the institution and its members. Nevertheless, several challenges remain, particularly the limited understanding of some members regarding Sharia contracts and constraints related to the administrative system.

Abstract

Economic development has traditionally been measured through indicators such as gross domestic product (GDP) and income per capita. However, these indicators often fail to capture the broader dimensions of human welfare. The Human Development Index (HDI) was introduced by the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) as a multidimensional measure of development that incorporates indicators of health, education, and living standards. This study aims to examine the importance of the Human Development Index in evaluating development performance and to analyze its role in assessing regional human welfare. Using a qualitative approach based on literature review and secondary data analysis, this study explores the conceptual framework of HDI and its implications for development policy. The findings indicate that HDI provides a more comprehensive perspective on development compared to traditional economic indicators. By integrating education, health, and income dimensions, HDI enables policymakers to identify development gaps and formulate more inclusive development strategies. The study concludes that HDI remains an essential tool for measuring human development and guiding sustainable and equitable development policies.

Abstract

The Subsidized Home Ownership Credit (KPR) program is one of the government’s policy instruments aimed at improving access to home ownership for low-income communities. In its implementation, Islamic banks as financing distribution institutions play a strategic role in ensuring that the KPR application process is conducted in an accountable, transparent manner and in accordance with the principle of prudence. This study aims to analyze the procedures for verifying the completeness of customer documents in the application for subsidized KPR at BTN Syariah Probolinggo. The research employs a descriptive qualitative approach, with data collected through interviews, observations, and documentation. The findings indicate that the document verification procedure is carried out through several stages, starting from an initial administrative review, verification of the validity of identity and income documents, to an assessment of financing eligibility in accordance with Islamic principles. However, several obstacles remain, including incomplete customer documents, differences in understanding between customers and the bank, as well as limitations of digital systems in supporting the verification process. This study is expected to provide practical contributions to improving the effectiveness of subsidized KPR verification procedures in Islamic banking and to serve as a reference for future research.

Abstract

Environmental degradation and climate change have become global challenges that require innovative economic approaches capable of balancing economic growth with ecological sustainability. In recent years, the concept of the green economy has emerged as an alternative development paradigm that emphasizes environmentally sustainable economic activities, efficient resource management, and social inclusiveness. At the same time, Islamic economics offers ethical and normative foundations that emphasize justice, balance, and environmental stewardship. This study aims to examine the conceptual relationship between green economy principles and Islamic economic values, as well as to explore the potential integration of green economy practices within the framework of Islamic finance and economic development. Using a qualitative literature-based approach, this research analyzes relevant academic works, policy documents, and theoretical frameworks related to sustainable development and Islamic economic thought. The findings indicate that Islamic economic principles such as maqasid al-shariah, prohibition of environmental harm, and the concept of khalifah (stewardship) are inherently aligned with the goals of the green economy. Furthermore, Islamic financial instruments such as green sukuk, waqf for environmental projects, and sustainable Islamic investment have significant potential to support environmentally responsible development. The study concludes that integrating green economy principles within Islamic economic systems can contribute to the creation of a sustainable development model that balances economic growth, environmental preservation, and social justice.
