Abstract

In the field of industry, one of the most important things in a company is the means of production because one of the production processes will not function and it is impossible for the company's goals to be achieved. Production-based industries definitely need tools and machines to support the production process, one of which is a coconut peeler using a pneumatic system. The problem that occurs is how to analyze the movement of air moving on each pneumatic valve to the cylinder that will move the pressure lever. The performance of a pneumatic-based coconut peeler as a medium for testing the simulation was carried out using the register shift method and simulated in the Pneumatic FluidSim Software. The test was carried out directly on the training board in the pneumatic-hydraulic laboratory. The results show that the air flow acts on each pneumatic valve to move the double acting cylinder which functions as a sander block drive. The next step is to determine the type of cylinder with the diameter size used so that it can move the sanding block to move linearly (back and forth). For this reason, it is necessary to calculate the forces (F) acting on the sanding block and how much air pressure (P) is needed Keywords : Software simulasi, FluidSim-Pneumatik, cylinder

Abstract

Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP) is a multilevel pump that is inserted into the well, by being immersed in the fluid and driven by an electric motor to lift the fluid from the well to the surface. The ESP currently used in the JVT-20 well is REDA A400 type ESP with 18 - 50 Stage, 60 Hz with a pump capacity of 200 - 500 BFPD. The JVT-20 well experienced a decrease in production rate so that only 150 BFPD was produced with a 75% water cut. The JVT-20 well's inflow performance relationship curve has a maximum flow rate of 214,286 BFPD, therefore optimization efforts are being made so that the daily production capacity of the JVT-20 well approaches the maximum flow rate of the well. The optimization was carried out by replacing the installed pump with a new pump type, namely ODI W2, with 110 stages, pump size 4.3 HP 60 Hz, with a production flow rate of 171.27 BFPD approaching the targeted flow rate for the JVT-20 well and pump efficiency of 45%. Abstract

In the oil and gas production process, operating production wells are mainly based on good production capacity to achieve the best production. However, over time, well production causes the pressure in the well reservoir to drop to such an extent that the well no longer has the ability to flow fluid naturally from the reservoir to the surface. Research by Karlez Petrolum (Seram) Ltd. Karlez himself uses an artificial lift (sucker rod pumps), SRP is one of the artificial lift techniques used to help lift oil from the well to the surface. It is necessary to optimize the production of more optimal wells for the pump installed in the “Z” Well in the Karlez Petroleum (Seram) Ltd. field. To obtain the desired profit, the costs incurred must be less than the income earned. This can be seen from economic indicators.  Keywords: Sucker Rod Pump, Optimization, artificial lift, economic indicators.

Abstract

Polymer injection is an EOR method that uses a polymer solution to increase oil recovery by decreasing the oil-water mobility ratio, by increasing the viscosity of the injection water. The purpose of this study was to analyze the effect of adding seaweed to xanthan gum polymer at various concentrations. The effect that is analyzed in this study is the adsorption of the solution. From the research that has been done, it can be concluded that, based on the adsorption test, xanthan gum polymer is the best. Keywords: Polymer Injection, EOR, Adsorption

Abstract

Petroleum is an important component in the community’s everyday life. It is needed both by the community and the industry, therefore the oil production activity are carried out in the field. Oil production in the field has always been closely tied to the decrease in reservoir pressure, causing several issues such as production rate reduction, pump setting depth decrease and reservoir decrease, therefore an artificial lift must be installed so the fluid can be produced. The equipment installed as an artificial lift, that is maintained so that the well can produce optimally, will experience “well problems” on the reservoir production, such as watercut, scaling, and other problems. If the k in a well has a high watercut but has heavy oil characteristics, it is necessary to increase oil production handled with ESP artificial lift in order to optimize the oil production. Abstract

During the process of producing fluid from a well, there is often a decrease in productivity which is caused by several things so that production often does not meet the specified targets. Therefore, Work Over Well Service (WOWS) is carried out to launch and maintain oil production in wells. In this WOWS activity, of course there are many potential hazards. Therefore, it is important to pay attention to work safety and all aspects of K3 starting from from work safety at height, work safety in flammable or explosive areas, electrical work safety, to well rework. In the data processing process, calculations are made of the processing time at the workover and well services activity program stages as well as the potential hazards that occur. This calculation refers to the standard processing time that has been set by the company's workover and well service. The aim is to obtain data. By utilizing field observation data, it is hoped to obtain actual information regarding workover and well service operating conditions and find possible anomalies. This is important to identify problems and find alternative solutions to well problems. From the results of research on work risk evaluation in well service operations carried out at Kalrez Petroleum (Seram) LTD, to find out priority risks, you must carry out calculations on the risk matrix by multiplying the probability and consequence values. The results of this calculation are potential dangers in service work activities. above the well. However, it is included in the low probability category, because work accidents occur within 5 (years) per 1 accident. So the risk control carried out can be said to be able to control risks in Work Over Well service activities, and monitoring and evaluation have been carried out well so far.  Keywords: Work Over & Well Service, Evaluation, Work risks.

Abstract

Performance evaluation for avtur pumps is needed as a review medium to make decisions. Avtur pumps that work continuously will cause a decrease in performance. This can be caused by several factors such as pump age and roughness that cause an increase in head loss. Reduced head loss will affect the power generated and the NPSH value of the pump. The purpose of this study is to determine the increase in Head loss of pump 4B Avtur products at the Integreted Terminal of PT. Pertamina Patra Niaga Wayame Ambon and its effect on the power generated and NPSH value of the pump. This research was conducted quantitatively with 2 variables. Variable free head loss pump 4b avtur product while variable bound pump power and NPSH pump. The data obtained are divided into two types, namely primary data and secondary data. The method used to obtain data is by observation, experimentation and liturature. The results of this study are known that the pump is centrifugal type. There was an increase in pump head loss by 0.128 m. the increase in head loss affected the increase in output power by 0.01 kW or about 100 watts per use. The available NPSH value and the required NPSH value were also affected, which was initially 5.42 > 4.36 to 5.47 > 4.37. The advice given is that the pump must still be considered and improved maintenance and inspection schedules because it is seen from the life of pumps that have worked for more than 10 years. Abstract

Welding is a process of joining two or more metal materials together through a local melting process. There are many types of welding, one of which is Gas Metal Arc Welding (GMAW). In gas metal arc welding (GMAW), one of the factors that affect the result of welding is the height of the stick out. The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of changing the height of the stick out in the gas metal arc welding (GMAW) welding process on the pipe on the mechanical strength of the pipe. The method used in this study is a quantitative method with data collection techniques through the library, and the main data sources obtained directly from the research process, and related interviews regarding the tools and materials used at the Ambon State Polytechnic Mechanical Engineering Laboratory. The results of the research that the author did show that the greatest Impact Strength with a value of 0.1136 KJ/mm2 is at a height of 7 mm electrical stick out and 0.0960 KJ/mm2 is at a height of 9 mm electrical stick out, this can be seen in the figure 4.1 and 4.2 where the graph will have a decreasing trend with increasing variations in the height of the electrical stick out in GMAW welding, while for the bending test the shorter the electrical stick out will result in increased welding penetration, so that the melting of the weld material in the welding process is getting deeper and the cooling process is getting deeper time results in increased ductility of the seamless pipe, it also depends on the thickness of the material being welded, the gas flow rate and metal transfer in the weld. Abstract

This research was conducted to optimize the production of oil and gas wells using the artificial lift method with a Sucker Rod Pumo in the Kawengan Field, PT Pertamina EP Field Cepu. The evaluation was carried out on the performance of the installed Sucker Rod Pump in well XY. The creation of the Inflow Performance Relationship curve was done independently and using commercial software. Similarly, the Tubing Performance Relationship curve for the well was created. Based on the evaluation conducted by the author on well XY, the actual production rate is 1241 barrels per day (BLPD) and the efficiency of the intalled Sucker Rod Pump is 47,77%. Therefore, in this case, the condition of the installed Sucker Rod Pump is considered suboptimal. Consequently, optimization was carried out on th installed Sucker Rod Pump using a Nodal Analysis simulator, which resulted in the optimization of the Sucker Rod Pump series to increase the production rate in well XY to 30-275 thousand hours of operation (THM) with a flow rate of 882,95 BLPD, well flow pressure of 574,11 psia, and pump speed of 11 strokes per minute (spm). Abstract

Well X is one of the oil wells located in field Y that has been producing using artificial lift. Well X has changed the artificial lift from SRP to ESP to optimize the well production rate due to a decrease in production. Electrical submersible pump is a multistage centrifugal pump with several impellers and diffusers at each stage. The current pump data uses 21 stages and a frequency of 45 Hz with an oil production rate of 7.1 bopd and a water cut of 99%. The well production capacity known by using IPR is 4542.436 bfpd. From the production history data, the author calculates the remaining reserves that can be produced until the q-limit with the Decline Curve Analysis (DCA) method. Next, an evaluation of the installed ESP pump is conducted using the pipesim simulator. This evaluation involves nodal analysis and sensitivity testing to assess the pump performance and optimize the flowrate production. The analysis results show the remaining reserves that can be produced are 2043 MSTB. Sensitivity tests on tubing size, stages, and frequency indicated that the pump operates optimally with a tubing size of 2.992 inches, 21 stages, and a frequency of 45 Hz, resulting in a production rate of 3503.85 STB/d at a pressure of 88.86 psi. The research result show that the ESP pump operates optimally, and the use of ESP has been proven to increase the production rate from 3133,4 STB/d to 3503,85 STB/d.  Keywords : DCA, ESP, nodal analysis, optimum production
