Abstract

This investigation aspires to procure empirical substantiation concerning the repercussion of economic expansion and inflation upon the Composite Stock Price Index (IHSG) on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX) throughout the span of 2020–2023. The methodological framework employed is regression analysis within a quantitative paradigm, grounded in archival data of IHSG reports. The research cohort was delineated through a total sampling technique, yielding 48 monthly observations consonant with the stipulated criteria. The findings disclose that economic expansion exerts a constructive and statistically momentous influence on the IHSG, evidenced by a t-statistic of 12.638 surpassing the critical threshold of 2.01410, with a probability value of 0.000 < 0.05. Accordingly, hypothesis (H1) is corroborated while the null proposition is repudiated. In contraposition, inflation likewise manifests a significant effect on the IHSG, with a t-statistic of 12,905.184 > 2.01410 and a probability value of 0.003 < 0.05, thereby validating hypothesis (H2).Conjointly, economic expansion and inflation were discerned to wield a simultaneous and notable effect on the IHSG, with an F-statistic of 121.218 exceeding the tabular benchmark of 3.204 and a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05, affirming hypothesis (H3). Thus, the inquiry elucidates that economic expansion assumes a pivotal role in augmenting the IHSG, while inflation also imparts a consequential individual impact. Nevertheless, under a joint analytical lens, both determinants conjointly demonstrate a substantive influence upon the trajectory of the IHSG.

Abstract

Illegal tin mining in Tembelok Sea, West Bangka, has caused massive environmental impacts, such as coral reef damage, a 30% decrease in fish catches, and triggered unrest and social conflicts in coastal communities. This exploratory qualitative research aims to analyze collaboration strategies between the Indonesian National Police (Polri) and the community in preventing such illegal activities. Data were collected through interviews, observations, and document studies, then analyzed using the Law Enforcement Theory, Collaborative Policing, and Crime Prevention approaches. The research results show that joint patrols are an effective integrated strategy, integrating primary prevention approaches (socialization, “Alert Fishermen” training, drone/GIS technology), secondary (focused patrols, community reports), and tertiary (firm law enforcement, environmental rehabilitation). This collaboration is driven by inter-agency synergy (Polri, Indonesian Navy, Bakamla), active community participation, and open communication. However, challenges such as overlapping authorities, limited resources, intimidation of reporters, and lack of integrated data platforms still hinder its effectiveness. To ensure sustainability, it is recommended to establish a permanent task force, develop anonymous digital reporting applications, and launch alternative economic empowerment programs, such as seaweed cultivation. In conclusion, the Polri-community collaboration has the potential to create an inclusive and sustainable monitoring system to maintain the preservation of marine ecosystems and the socio-economic stability of the Tembelok coastal community.

Abstract

The October 2020 protests against the Job Creation Law, marked by mass mobilization and significant unrest, tested Indonesia's public security framework. This study analyzes the strategic planning and early detection mechanisms employed by the Intelligence and Security Agency of the Indonesian National Police (Baintelkam Polri) in mitigating threats to public security during the 2020 Job Creation Law protests. Using a qualitative case study approach, data were collected through in-depth interviews with ten key Baintelkam Polri informants and analysis of relevant documents. The findings reveal that strategic planning was conducted through a structured intelligence cycle involving multidimensional risk analysis, cross-functional coordination, and continuous adaptation. Early detection was executed via integrated field and digital monitoring, comprehensive vulnerability indicators, and a rapid field reporting system. Intelligence products centrally informed operational decisions, while rapid estimation mechanisms enabled adaptive responses to emerging threats. The research concludes that intelligence-led early detection and strategic planning are crucial for maintaining security stability during large-scale demonstrations while upholding legal and democratic norms. Theoretically, it reinforces early detection theory and Conflict Early Warning Systems (CEWS) in domestic security, offering empirical insights into central intelligence’s role in managing mass actions in Indonesia.

Abstract

Cartenz Peace Operation  is a continuation of the Papua Task Force (2016) and Operation Nemangkawi (2018). The existence of Operation Cartenz Peace indicates a rapid shift in nomenclature. However, an in-depth analysis of its formation process reveals critical gaps in standard police operational procedures. There has been no in-depth study or planning conducted prior to each name or strategy change. In fact, a successful operation must be based on careful planning that begins with a comprehensive study. The study intends to examine the planning issues of the Cartenz Peace Operation and suggest reclassifying it as an Enhanced Routine Activity (KRYD) for better management of armed criminal groups in Papua. The research method used is qualitative-descriptive. The approach used in this study is a case study. Operation Cartenz Peace was chosen as a unique and specific case for in-depth analysis. The analysis will focus on the planning process, decision-making, policy implementation, and evaluation of the results of this operation. The results and discussion reveal that Operation Cartenz Peace did not meet the criteria for a police operation. Operation Cartenz Peace should be reclassified as an Enhanced Routine Activity (KRYD). This classification denotes activities conducted by regional units with increased personnel and budget allocations, without the rigid time limitations that characterize formal operations.
