Abstract

Penelitian ini dilatarbelakangi oleh pentingnya komunikasi dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat muslim di kota Medan. Tujuan penelitian ini adalah untuk menjelaskan strategi komunikasi Muslimat Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia Sumatera Utara dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat muslim kota Medan. Teori yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini adalah meliputi uraian teoritis tentang komunikasi, strategi komunikasi dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat. Penelitian ini menggunakan pendekatan kualitatif. Pengumpulan data penelitian dilakukan melalui wawancara dengan informan sebanyak empat orang, observasi dan dokumentasi. Teknik analisis data dilakukan melalui proses reduksi data, penyajian data, dan penarikan kesimpulan. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa Muslimat Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia Sumatera Utara menggunakan strategi komunikasi interaktif, transaksional dengan pola pendekatan persuasif dalam pemberdayaan masyarakat muslim kota Medan yang meliputi pembinaan di LP Wanita Tanjung Gusta, kursus calon pengantin, pengajaran Al-Qur’an, pelatihan fardhu kifayah dan pemberdayaan ekonomi umat.Kata Kunci: Strategi Komunikasi, Muslimat Dewan Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia, Kota MedanThis research is motivated by the importance of communication in the empowerment of Muslim communities in the city of Medan. The purpose of this study is to explain the communication strategy of Muslimat Board of Dakwah Islamiyah Indonesia North Sumatera in empowerment of muslim communities in Medan city. The theory used in this study includes theoretical descriptions of communication, communication strategies in community empowerment. This research uses a qualitative approach. Research data collection was carried out through interviews with 4 (four) informants, observation and documentation Data analysis techniques are carried out through the process of data reduction, data presentation, and drawing conclusions. The results showed that the North Sumatra Indonesian Da'wah Council Islamic Boarding School Muslim students used an interactive, transactional communication strategy with a persuasive approach to empowering the Muslim community in Medan which included coaching at the Tanjung Gusta Women's Prison, suscatin courses, teaching the Al Qur’an, training fardhukifayah, economic empowerment of the people.Keywords: Communication Strategy, Muslimat Indonesian Da'wah Council, Medan City

Abstract

Abstract: this study investigated the marketing communication strategy with a specific focus on private Islamic higher education. The research design adopted for the research was a qualitative method with a case study approach. The findings revealed that STAI Ahsanta apllied multi strategies in marketing their program, such as: digital marketing, convensional marketing, cost leadership and empower their staffs to involve in promoting the institution. Additionally, our findings suggested solutions to overcome the problems of marketing in disruptive era through maximizing multi strategies but they also should make a specific competitive program as an effort to reach students candidate in choosing the institution as a place to study. The study recommends that the administrators of institution make a comprehensive digital marketing to enable them an optimal selling. Keywords Private Islamic Higher Education, Education Marketing Strategy, Competitive higher education
