Abstract

This study aimed to ensure that plastic deformation does not occur on the structure of bolster bogie 1722 when it accommodates burdens or loads based on previously determined overload limit. The simulation in this study used the finite element method with the help of Ansys Workbench 2020. The standard of testing UIC 515-4 was employed as a reference for the simulation, notably in determining the load case. The result of static simulation on the overload showed that the maximum stress on the vertical load case was 72.764 MPa, and the maximum stress on the transverse and vertical load case (combination) was 109.9 MPa. The result of maximum vertical deflection was obtained from the case of vertical load as 0.553 mm and in the case of transverse and vertical load (combination) as 1.799 mm. The structure of the bolster design is considered safe because the maximum score of stress was under the yield strength score of the used material, namely SS400 as 245 Mpa.

Abstract

This research analyzes the service life of rails on rail replacement on urban railway arches, with a focus on the Fatmawati MRT Jakarta arch. Due to the high frequency of train traffic in urban areas and curve radii that do not comply with standards, the rails on the Fatmawati curve experience significant wear. This research uses the AREA method to estimate the service life of rails based on the wear that occurs. The data collected includes the number of daily train trips and regular measurements of track wear. Analysis results show that rail wear on the Fatmawati curve is increasing, reaching a critical point in April 2029, where the rails are projected to have to be replaced. Using forecasting methods square train and least square, it is predicted that by April 2029, the numberof daily trips will decrease to 239 trips, and rail wear will reach 15.85 mm. This research provides recommendations for rail replacements to be carried out in accordance with predicted results to avoid further damage and maintain the operational safety of MRT Jakarta.

Abstract

Development has increased massively after the announcement of the IKN area in the area, one of which is the construction of a jetty to accommodate logistics for construction work from infrastructure and facilities to support road, bridge and building construction activities in the IKN area. In this research, we explore how to construct the IKN dock in a timely manner so that it may be utilized appropriately. Researchers perform an examination of the behavior of precast beams and jetty floor slab to acquire stress values and deformations that occur in the process of working methods when installed, casting implementation, and dock service circumstances when using this precast technique. The usage of precast is analyzed utilizing micro software analysis of the finite element technique, namely LISA FEA V.8, to create stress hues behavior that happens. From the results of the modeling simulation above, it can be seen that the largest dominant stress distribution occurs on the side of the beam ear meeting with the deck slab/half slab, the stress occurs according to the working method step between 1.774 MPa in the condition of the slab being installed and increases when the implementation of wet concrete casting becomes 2.567 MPa and when the service condition, the stress again increases to 9,258 MPa.

Abstract

This research conducted dynamic simulations using the Universal Mechanism software with variations between back to back widths of 1000 mm and 990 mm, focusing on the relationship between train operating speed, vibration levels, and passenger comfort index during operation on a small curve on the PPI Madiun track with a radius of R42. The issue investigated in this study stems from PM No. 17 of 2011, which sets the standard back-to-back usage at 1000 mm. It is crucial to understand the characteristics of each back to back setting, as the operational track gauge used is 1067 mm. The simulation results indicate that the nadal criterion and ride index are more favorable with the 990 mm back to back setting. At a speed of 25 km/h, the nadal criterion for the 990 mm setting was 0.636, compared to 0.670 for the 1000 mm setting, and the ride index for the 990 mm setting at this speed was 1.315449, compared to 1.288552 for the 1000 mm setting. These results are considered valid as the error value in the data validation calculations was less than 10%, specifically 8.26%.

Abstract

The Aluminum alloy 6061 material is used to make components for light trains such as underframes, sidewalls, roofs, and endwalls. A joining process called welding is used to make train components. In the connection process using welding, many stages must be considered, such as the design stage starting from selecting the type of welding, to choosing the seam angle used. This research aims to determine the effect of the shape of the seam on GTAW welding on bending tests on aluminum alloy 6061 material. The shape of the seam used in this research is a variation of the shape of the seam square groove, V groove, and double V groove. The research method used is research by conducting tests, based on the treatment given to the test material, namely welding using GTAW welding on aluminum alloy 6061. To determine the strength of the joint, bending tests are carried out, and calculation of the bending strength and modulus of elasticity value so that the shape of the joint can be determined. Has a high elasticity value. After welding and bending tests were carried out, the highest average bending strength result was 94.83 MPa in the double V groove seam shape variation, and for the specimen that had the lowest bending strength it was 41.299 MPa in the square groove seam shape variation. The elastic modulus calculation was carried out showing that the largest elastic modulus value in the Double V groove seam shape was 295.929 MPa.
