Abstract

According to Undang-Undang Nomor 40 tahun 2009 pasal 16, Youth who play an active role are a moral force, social control, and agents of change in all aspects of national development. However, many youths are unsure how to begin participating and playing active roles in society. They often doubt their ability to contribute, lack of education, information access, and resources frequently become the primary obstacle. To address these challenges and improve the Youth Development Index (YDI), as well as support the youth development strategies of the Ministry of Youth and Sports of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenpora), Purna Caraka Muda Indonesia (PCMI) South Kalimantan and Gen Z Movement organized a seminar aimed at providing adequate education, training, and support. The program aimed to boost youths' confidence and motivation to engage in social projects. The seminar was attended by 200 youths, including members of various communities and university students in Banjarmasin. The implementation methods involved presentations from two keynote speakers, followed by an interactive discussion session. Subsequently, participants were divided into 10 groups to design social project plans and deliver presentations. Evaluation results indicated that 65% of participants were very satisfied, and 35% were satisfied with the seminar. Furthermore, over 90% of participants reported that the seminar helped them understand how to design effective social projects. This activity demonstrates the potential for structured seminars to empower youth and foster their active participation in society development

Abstract

Agriculture is a vital component of the economy and livelihoods in Indonesia, particularly in Sukamaju village, West Java, Indonesia. Many local farmers rely on traditional farming management methods, which hinder efficiency and productivity due to challenges such as manual data entry, inadequate tracking of crop yields, and limited avenues for product promotion. To address these issues, an Agricultural Management Web Application was developed to streamline the management of agricultural activities within the community. This user-friendly platform allows farmers to input and monitor essential data about their crops, thereby enhancing informed decision-making. Additionally, the application features a blog system for promoting agricultural products, helping farmers reach a wider audience and improve their sales prospects. Key objectives of the application include improving documentation and monitoring of agricultural processes, fostering community engagement through knowledge sharing, and providing promotional tools for farmers. By leveraging technology, this initiative aspires to establish a sustainable agricultural environment that supports the growth of the farming community in Sukamaju village. In the future, this application can be expanded to create a more comprehensive supply chain management system for farmers in a broader area. The feature also can be expanded so that the farmers can connect to the other players whether in the upstream and the downstream.

Abstract

In today's digital era, introducing the concept of computational thinking ( CT ) from an early age is very important. Binekas School, as an educational partner at the Playgroup, Kindergarten (TK), and Elementary School (SD) levels, is committed to introducing CT to children starting at the age of 4. Currently, Binekas School only offers optional extracurricular coding activities at the elementary school level and uses a hard coding approach, which may be too challenging for most students. This school wants to prepare students with an introduction to the basics of coding from kindergarten using a more child-friendly approach, namely plugged-in with tangible robotics. The proposed solution includes an introduction to CT knowledge with a focus on algorithm development and CT training through tangible plugged-in techniques using robots for children aged 4 years and above. This training will not only improve children's understanding of the CT concept in an interactive and fun way, but will also prepare them for future educational challenges. The tools that will be used in this training are the Robotic Gigo Smart Brick, a robotic system designed for children so that they can learn basic programming concepts and computational thinking through interactive games. This outreach activity uses a combination of unplugged CT through card media and physical maps to train problem-solving mindsets accompanied by the opportunity to test proposed solutions with plugged-in CT using the Robotic Gigo Smart Brick. From the results of the activity evaluation through a questionnaire, it was found that 92% of students agreed that the application of the combination of unplugged CT and plugged-in CT was fun, the material was easy to understand and they were interested in getting further material.

Abstract

Gorciuk is an MSME that produces Cireng Chips with tapioca as the raw material. One of the local ingredients that is gluten-free and the seasoning is without MSG. This product was initially only intended and served for children with disabilities who had to reduce Gluten and without MSG which is one of the addictive ingredients and is not recommended for excessive consumption. Now foods with low Gluten content and without MSG are also quite sought after because many consumers are starting to pay attention to healthy food. With the high interest of consumers in the market, Gorciuk has begun to expand the types of products produced. Currently, Gorciuk markets its products with 2 flavor choices, namely pecel seasoning and salted cheese. However, the high interest of consumers is still not balanced with a representative packaging design, therefore Gorciuk currently needs to redesign the Product Packaging that they sell in order to increase Brand Awareness. The current condition is that Gorciuk markets its products only with simple packaging in the form of ordinary plastic that is not attractive and does not characterize their own typical cireng chips. This obstacle is the reason for the PKM team in implementing the Packaging Design grant using the DKV principle at Gorciuk. The Community Service Team consisting of three lecturers and students will design and apply the principles of DKV to Gorciuk.

Abstract

This charity project aims to implement an efficient queue management system for Rumah Sehat Dokter Zoji Clinic, located in Cianjur, Indonesia. The clinic, known for its alternative and affordable healthcare services using a "pay as you wish" model, experiences high patient volumes—ranging from 300 to 500 daily on weekdays and up to 1,000 on Sundays. To address the growing demand and improve patient care, a mobile application was developed using Flutter with Firebase as the database to organize patient data and manage queue schedules effectively. The system prioritizes patients based on the severity of their conditions, categorizing them into Emergency, Severe, Moderate, and Mild levels. This prioritization ensures that those in urgent need receive prompt care, while others are integrated into the regular queue accordingly. The project also focuses on educating clinic staff and patients about the new system, recognizing varying levels of familiarity with technology. A hybrid approach to the queue system remains in place, accommodating those who prefer traditional methods. The implementation of this system is expected to streamline operations at the clinic, enhancing the overall efficiency and effectiveness of patient care delivery.

Abstract

One of the ways that can be done to reduce the amount of waste is by managing waste from the household level as its source. The 3R system (Reduce, Reuse, Recycle), which has been advocated by various groups, has not shown significant results, thus it requires concrete efforts so that it is not just a slogan. Households are the initial key to waste management considering that households are the largest producers of waste. By looking at these conditions, household-based waste management education is one of the important ways to overcome the waste problem. This community service activity aims to increase public awareness and knowledge of household waste management. The method applied in this community service program is through organizing participatory workshops with the community. activities starting from the assessment stage, awareness of problems, practice, and management planning. With this activity comes awareness to encourage changes at the practical level in the community in implementing the 3R.

Abstract

Geologically, Indonesia is located at the confluence of three large plates: Indo-Australian, Eurasian, and Pacific. It passes through two of the world's main volcanic routes, making it a disaster-prone area. As a result, Indonesia has many active volcanoes, including Mount Merapi. In disaster conditions, students are a vulnerable group, both physically and psychosocially, due to disruption to the learning process and potential trauma. Efforts to increase preparedness through implementing the sister school program, namely cooperation between affected and buffer schools, are urgently needed. However, the implementation of this program in Magelang Regency is still not optimal, especially in its integration into the sister village program, so that vulnerability to disasters during school hours remains high. The solution implemented is to help schools increase their preparedness capacity. The results showed increased participants' understanding of the concepts, benefits and roles of buffer and affected schools in the disaster mitigation framework. Therefore, efforts are still needed to develop affected and buffer schools integrated into disaster-resilient villages.
