Abstract

At the elderly level, many experience a decrease in biological function, one of which is joint pain in the elderly so that it will interfere with limited movement in the joints. To maintain health, it is necessary to have good efforts in the nature of treatment, pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatment. Nonpharmacological treatment such as warm compresses of ginger decoction and range of mation exercises (ROM). This research design uses Quasi Experiment With Rendom Two Groups Design Approach, Posttest Only. Samples were taken using Simple Random Sampling from January 16 to January 20, 2023. The sample was 41 respondents and grouped into two groups, namely 20 respondents of the warm compress group of ginger decoction and 21 respondents of the range of mation (ROM) exercise group. This research instrument uses observation sheets. The results of the Mann-Whitney test are known that the average value of pain in respondents given warm compress therapy of ginger decoction is 10.50 and the average value of pain in respondents given range of mation (ROM) exercise therapy is 10.00. As for the P value = 0.006 < 0.05 which means there is a significant difference between warm compress therapy of ginger decoction and range of mation (ROM) exercises, where the warm compress technique of ginger decoction is more effective in reducing joint pain in the. Doing warm compresses of ginger decoction regularly can reduce pain in the joints and provide a feeling of comfort in the body.

Abstract

Hypertension is a condition where there is a chronic increase in blood pressure in a very long period of time which can cause pain to someone who is suffering and can cause death. A person can be said to suffer from hypertension if the systolic blood pressure is > 140 mmHg and diastolic > 90 mmHg. Treatment of high blood pressure can be done pharmacologically or by using drugs and non-pharmacological therapy or therapy without drugs. Sweet star fruit is useful in helping to lower blood pressure because of the fiber, potassium, phosphorus and vitamin C content. Water content, magnesium and potassium and high fiber in sweet star fruit can neutralize and lower blood pressure. This research uses the method Pra-Eksperimen One Groups Pretest-Posttest Design. The research population is all elderly at the elderly post in Jatirejo Village, the research sample is 30 people with techniques Purposive Sampling. Based on the research, the average systolic value before the intervention was 150.67 mmHg and the average value in diastole was 97.67 mmHg, after the intervention the average systolic value was 137.33 mmHg and the average value in diastole was 92.67 mmHg. There was a difference in blood pressure after administration of sweet star fruit juice with a p-000 value meaning p <0.05 in systolic and diastolic blood pressure.

Abstract

Immunization program is one of the main prevention methods to avoid infectious diseases. The problem in this study is the lack of complete basic immunization coverage in the Kamoro Jaya sub-district, Wania 2020 District. The purpose of this study was to analyze the motivation of mothers to complete basic immunization in toddlers. This type of research is a cross sectional study of analytic correlation. The account population was all 300 mothers from various local integrated healthcare center areas and the number of samples was several mothers totaling 100 respondents. The sampling technique was simple random sampling. The dependent variable is the mother's motivation and the independent variable is the completeness of basic immunization. Collecting data used by consent forms and questionnaires. Data processing is used by editing, coding, scoring, data entry, data tabulation and is used by the chi square correlation test motivational results with a number 112.220 and the completeness results were 23,040. The results showed that out of 100 respondents at the "W'' Health Center, most (83%) were not motivated by 83 respondents, and the majority (74%) completed immunization in infants, namely 74 respondents. Chi square test analysis is obtained p-value =0.001 < α=0.05 (p-value < α) which means H0 rejected and H1 accepted. It can be concluded that there is a relationship between motivational factors and the completeness of immunization in toddlers at the Public Health Center "W" Mimika Timika Papua in 2020. So it is recommended for health workers to pay attention to the motivation of toddler mothers.

Abstract

The low practice of early breastfeeding is not due to many factors such as knowledge, husband's support, action and education. Method: The method used is analytic correlational with a cross sectional approach. The number of samples was 20 post-partum mothers, the sampling method was with the Accidental sampling technique. The data analysis used was Chi Square to see whether there was a relationship and husband's support for the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding. Results: The results showed that of the 20 respondents, 13 respondents (65%) were good, 10 (50%) had good husband support, while implementing early initiation of breastfeeding was 14 (70%). The results of the Chi Square test show that the variables X1 and Y are 0.000, meaning that there is a relationship between Knowledge and the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding.. For the results of the Chi Square test, the variables X2 and Y are 0.005, meaning that there is a relationship between husband's support and the implementation of early initiation of breastfeeding. Conclusion The importance of maternal knowledge and husband's support contributes greatly to postpartum early initiation of breastfeeding. in the Midwifery Room of the Suai Referral Hospital, Timor-Leste.
