Abstract

This study aims to know whether there are a significant relationship between economic growth and export in eight ASEAN Plus three’s countries. The test are carried out using Unit Root Test, Johansen Cointegration test, Vector Auto Regretion Model (VAR), Vector Error Correction Model (VECM), and Granger Causality test for the periode 1980-2012. The result of cointegration test revealed that there are a long run relationship between economic growth and export in Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philipine, China, Japan, and South Korea, but long run relationship doesn’t occur in Singapore. Based on the result of Granger Causality test, it was found that export led growth hypothesis occur in Thailand and Philipine, while growth driven export hypothesis was occur in Indonesia, Cina, and South Korea. Abstract

This research is aimed to determine the role of Badan Amil Zakat Nasional Sumatera Utara (BAZNAS SU), an official zakat institutions in North Sumatera owned by the government, in empowering mustahiq by the utilization of productive zakat and to analyze the influence of productive zakat fund toward mustahiq’s income. This research used descriptive method and Paired T-Test method in order to identify and to analyze data that obtained from the interviews based on the questionnaire. The result of Paired T-test shows that there is a difference between mustahiq’s income, before and after receiving the zakat productive’s fund. Descriptive analysis shows that BAZNAS SU distribute the zakat productive’s fund in the form of interest-free loans or revolving fund for small businesses, in order to empower the mustahiq. In addition to distributing zakat productive, BAZNAS SU also do supervision and guidance to mustahiq in using the zakat productive’s fund.Key Words : Badan Amil Zakat Sumatera Utara (BAZNAS SU), Zakat Productive, Empowerment of Mustahiq, Mustahiq’s Income.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to analyze the impact of the tea plantation conversion to palmoil plantation at PT Nusantara IV Marjandi toward the level of social welfare. This study uses primary data through questionnaires and interviews to the employees of PTPN IV Marjandi and to the people around PTPN IV Marjandi and secondary data obtained from PT PTPN IV Marjandi. The analytical methods used in this study is Test T - Test and descriptive statistic.The results showed that the conversion have negative impact tothe work chance in the PTPN IV Marjandi,positive impact on the level of labor income because there is a very significant difference between average labor income before and after the conversion of the tea plantation to palmoilplantation, and positive impact on the level of people income because there is a significant difference between the average income of the people before and after tea plantation conversion to palmoil plantations.Keywords :Land Conversion, Tea, Palm Oil, Earnings

Abstract

This study aims to assess the internal factors and external factors determine the development of the informal sector and development strategy informal sector in Medan. This study uses primary data collected directly from the informal sector workers in Medan and analyzed using quantitative SWOT analysis. Internal factors that influence the development of the informal sector in the city of Medan is: Expertise (HR), Working Capital, Labor, Technology, Availability of Raw Materials, Raw Materials Price, Facilities and Infrastructure, Work Experience, and Promotion. As for the external factors that influence the development of the informal sector in the city of Medan is: Rental Costs, Training, Opportunity, soft Lending, Loans, Partnership, Competition, Economic Conditions are not stable, Law, Policy Development, and the existence of the Formal Sector. Based on the SWOT analysis of the informal sector, development strategy in Medan is developing the informal sector by providing loans to actors in the informal sector activities, provide additional capital to develop the informal sector, providing raw materials through the existence of a partnership.Keyword: Informal Sector, Strategy Development, SWOT, Internal Factors, External Factors

Abstract

The problems of this research is how the influence of their own capital, loan capital and land held against citrus growers citrus farmers in business development Karo can be seen from the increase in revenue. The purpose of this research is to analyze their own capital, loan capital and land that may affect the business improvement particularly in citrus growers Karo seen from the increase in revenue. The hypothesis of this study is that there is a positive effect of own capital, credit capital and land area of the business improvement citrus growers who have seen improved citrus farmers' income in Karo District. Data analysis methods used are simple linear regression analyzes were used to see how the influence of their own capital, loan capital and land that may affect the business improvement / citrus farmers' income, as well as the correlation coefficient is used to see the closeness of the relationship between the variables of their own capital, capital credit and land on citrus farmers' income. The results showed that the positive influence of capital, loan capital and land area of the business improvement / citrus farmers' income significantly, and there is a correlation between the equity, capital and credit to an increase in the land area of business / revenue and positively perfect.Keywords:Equity, Capital Credit, Land Area and Revenue
