Abstract

Bricks are the main component in a building, the increasing demand for bricks makes bricks sought after by the public so craftsmen have to produce enough bricks to meet market needs. From this problem, a design of an automatic brick dough mixer using a 1-phase AC induction motor was made, a concept design was carried out for making tools. In making the tool, the most important component of this research is the 1 phase AC induction motor where this motor will work to stir a dough so that it is evenly mixed. So that the humidity level of the dough can be measured with a moisture sensor, what is the level of density in a brick mixture that is made. To test the humidity level so that the dough becomes dense, 3 L of water and 9 L of soil are obtained at a temperature of 63%, the average cut in one minute is 24 bricks and for manual manufacture it produces 3 bricks in one minute so that it can be obtained conclusion with this tool the brick craftsmen can be helped to speed up production results in order to obtain efficiency in work results.

Abstract

Biodiesel is a biofuel that will be used against the machine or motor type diesel, in the form of ester methyl fatty acids made from vegetable oils or animal. Biodiesel can overcome the problem of the depletion of petroleum and energy crisis. One of the raw materials to make the biodiesel is used cooking oil. Hardware design consists of the design of the black box measuring 27cm x 17cm x 13cm (Length x Width x Height) with 2 pieces of LED as lighting and those ones powered by a 9 Volt battery so that all samples taken in the same conditions. Then the software design consists of designing a GUI in MATLAB. Data retrieval biodiesel utilizing the camera of android SONY Docomo Xperia Z3 which has been equipped with a rear camera 20MP front camera and 5MP. Process to process the image itself with the transformation of the RGB color to HSV to the image by simply selecting the image Hue and the image of the saturation of the course, for the extraction of features (calculate the value of the mean on the image hue and saturation according to the columns or rows of a matrix). The determination of the class using the method of the closest distance that is Euclidean. The first stage to determine the traits that have standard data for reference. and the second stage testing process. Data to determine the characteristic wear 10 of each sample on each of biodiesel, which consists of 3 types. With a total of 30 samples were used as standard data for reference. A system test is performed with the test data, a total of 18 samples only. The results obtained for 15 samples of the test data successfully detected recognizable and 3 sample test data other not successfully detected. The level of accuracy of the system is the introduction of biodiesel shows the results of 83.3% by using the method of Euclidean distance, which means the level of accuracy is high.

Abstract

KRAI (Indonesian Abu Robot Contest) is a robotics contest between Higher Education in Indonesia. Indonesian ash robot contest organized by the Directorate General of Higher Education (DIRJEN DIKTI). The winner of the KRAI will represent Indonesia in the ABU (Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union) Robocon which is held annually with locations moving around within ABU member countries. KRAI 2018 made a blessing ball picking robot with a gripper. The parameter that must be achieved is that the optimization of the robot drive can take the blessing ball. The design of the blessing ball picking mechanic can use the servo gripper by determining the slope of the robot. The angle of inclination of the robot determines the taking of the ball. Based on the results of the study, the results were obtained by testing carried out taking test data with an angle of 20 ?-50 ?. The robot can pick up when 1 ball with that angle. Testing with an angle of 50 ?-80 ?. The robot can take 2 balls with that angle. Testing with an angle of 80 ?-110 ?. The robot can take 3 balls with that angle. With an angle of 110 ?-140 ?. The robot can take 2 balls. With a blade of 140 ?-170 ? the robot can take 1 ball. In the method of taking the ball in the 10 tests that have been carried out, there are experiments that are declared efficient to be able to take 3 balls with a 100% success percentage in an average time of 21 seconds. So it can be implied that the tester at the ball picking used an angle of 80 ?-110 ? more efficiently than the angle of 20 ?-80 ? and 110 ?-170 ?.

Abstract

Technological developments are increasing to help facilitate human work, including developing control of equipment using smartphones. The system built in this study utilizes the Internet of Things (IoT) and the blynk application as a controller for the garage door opening and closing system using a smartphone to make it easier for owners to open and close the garage door without having to get out of the vehicle and do it manually. The system is built using the NodeMCU ESP8266 microcontroller which is connected to the blynk application to control the opening and closing of the garage door. Ultrasonic sensors are used to monitor the condition of the vehicles in the garage, while servo motors are used to open and close the garage door. This home garage access prototype using an IoT-based smartphone has succeeded in being able to open and close the garage door using the blynk application with a duration of 10 seconds when opening or closing the garage without having to do it manually. In this system, the user can monitor the condition of the garage for the presence or absence of vehicles by using the application.

Abstract

The industrial world is currently growing and has become an important part of the world as a whole. An example is the process of grouping and moving goods over and over in the warehouse located on the upper floor becomes a problem if the process is still done manually. So shipping the goods requires a lot of energy needed and is still less efficient. This research made a prototype design of a freight elevator that can place goods automatically in a multi-storey floor storage warehouse, aiming to facilitate the performance of the arrangement of goods during the delivery process to the upper floor. The hardware consists of an Arduino Mega 2560 microcontroller, two 12 volt dc motors, an infrared sensor and a limit switch. Testing this system uses a package of goods from cardboard media, with a package thickness of 0.2 cm. The results of the testing of the classification of tool goods packages can work well so as to improve work effectiveness with the accuracy of the success of the tool in placing goods to 3 floors in sequence with an accuracy of 86.7%, then the placement of goods with 1 empty space 98.9% accuracy, and placement goods with 2 combined empty spaces are 84.47%.
