Abstract

Hotels often referred to as a 'home away from home'. A place where tourists stop being a traveler and being a guest. A hotel typically offers a range of accommodation and services, which may include a suite, common dining and lounge facilities banquet facilities, and entertainment facilities. The main characteristic feature that sets the hotel apart from other types of accommodation are complete facilities and services available. In addition to the availability of public services, a variety of other services such as airline tickets, tours, reservation booking, and others. The hotel size ranges from twenty to more than two thousand rooms. hotels found in the city center, suburban and airport locations.Purchasing Department is the center point of the transaction or purchase of any kind of goods for hotel operations, so that the purchasing department is often described as the central purchasing company or hotel in question. The task of purchasing at Swiss-Bel Hotel Pondok Indah is in conformity with the task of purchasing the authors noted in the theoretical basis. The purchasing department function is to plan and coordinate the process of making the PR and PO for the needs of all departments in the hotel. With the PR and PO and coordination between departments is good, then the procurement process at the hotel can run smoothly.This type of research is qualitative descriptive research that is done through case studies, interviews, and direct observation of The Role of Purchasing at the hotel.

Abstract

Café first appeared in the western region, the most common café term found in the French country which was then adopted by the city town in England at the end of the 19th century. The term café comes from the word coffe which means coffee. Café is a suitable place to relax and release fatigue, and meet with relatives or friends. Café strawberry is one of the unique restaurant. This restaurant is located in a very strategic area that is located at Jalan Gandaria 1 No.75 South Jakarta. Consumers as individuals who choose a product they want are influenced by many factors, where they differ from one to another. This difference that affects consumer interest and behavior in making decisions to buy the products that they want. The purpose of this study is to determine the influence of consumer decision to buy at the strawberry café . Using descriptive methods to describe the phenomena studied systematically, factually, and accurately. This research uses purposive sampling technique. Collect primary data by observation and interview with 67 visitors who come to strawberry cafe. Factors studied were emotional factors (3.99), interest in visiting (3.78), to relax (4.77), due to hunger (2.80), social motive factors (3.34), emotional factors (3.7). The results of this study can be seen that the dominant factor is consumer interest and this will increase consumer decision to buy.

Abstract

Tourism is a fast growing industry around the globe, including in Indonesia. Report published by UNWTO in 2015, shows that the industry contributes 9 percent of the world GDP. Recently, Indonesia is taking more serious action in developing tourism industry in the country. Tourism has been set up as the biggest money spinner for Indonesian foreign revenue in the future. The goal of the Indonesian government is to achieve more than 20 million foreign tourists by 2019. Many Indonesian cities transform themselves to be a place of doing business as well as a place to visit. As the second biggest city in Indonesia, Surabaya plays important role as the hub of development for eastern part of the country. Surabaya has grown from manufacture based city into service and trade city. Tourism destination development becomes one of the important issues in Surabaya. Since2005, the use of city branding “Sparkling Surabaya”, has made the city become one of tourist destinations in East Java region. Destination development needs constant and effective support by the stakeholders. The local government has an important role in destination development. This study aims to identify the role of the government in the process of developing the destination in Surabaya. This study is done qualitatively by using in depth interview with the executives body that represented by Surabaya Tourism Office, as the primary data. The strategy and the action plan of the government are also explored in the study. The result shows that Surabaya government has an important role in destination development; by working closely with other stakeholders, such as private business and local community. This study can be used by the government as the reflection of their strategy in developing the destination. Moreover, all of the executives of Surabaya government need to have the same objectives and perspective in developing Surabaya as tourist destination in Indonesia.

Abstract

Research on the Horison Hotel Bandung, Hotel. This research aims to know the HorisonHotel Bandung marketing strategy. This research was tested using a SWOT analysis is to identify various internal and external factors of the company i.e. the analysis of internal factors (strengths and weaknesses) and external factors (opportunities and threats) which was later formulated in Diagram Cartesius, external and Internal Matrix Swot Matrix.From the results of the analysis on Diagram of Cartesius appears that the position of the Horison Hotel Bandung is located at the center of city, indicating that a the Horison Hotel Bandung face some opportunities and has a range of forces that push to get those opportunities. And position of the Horison Hotel Bandung on Internal matrix & Externally is also located on the center position to grow and develop or vertical integration which is a competitive market position is very strong in the hospitality business the high competitive power.On the SWOT Matrix there are four alternative strategies that can be applied to the Horison Hotel Bandung . On the strategy SO, can utilize the entire strength of the hotel has complete facilities, namely in Bandung a reputation for service excellence through the development of an increasingly sophisticated technology can facilitate promotional activities so that many opportunities to attract new consumers, on the first WO Strategies can do in cooperation with travel agencies not only domestic but also overseas travel agencies and travel packages provided to introduce the makassar city to tourists ST Strategies, it can overcome the threat from these types of products the Horison Hotel Bandung replicable so the Horison Hotel Bandung must continuously innovate products and services that is different from its competitors, and on WT Strategies can make use of the web site in order to be always updated about any information either about the promo to be issued or the event will be held.

Abstract

Parents day is an annual event that began in STP Trisakti since 1990. The originator of this event was the team of lecturers in food and beverage departement to finalize the initial objective, the students in the field of food and beverage service before actually entering the hospitality industry when they do the job training. Event in this category are held for educational purposes, such as training work shops or seminars, or for scientific collaboration. Therefore, the implementation of this event is done when the students are in the fifth semester. There are numoerous elements that need to be considered in developing an event concept, include event purpose, event theme and venue.. The method of this research using quatitative descriptive to describe the effect between response modifiers with the factors that effect more than one predictor. The total of the parents that come to the parents day used as the population . there are 250 people. Therefore total population is applied. Data in this research are the primary data consist of the identity and the characteristics of the parents that come to the event, such as gender and age. Based on the characteristics of the respondents show based on gender that 59,6% is male and 40,4% is female, and there are 77,2 % of respondents aged 39 – 44 years. The research design is focused on the affection of event purpose, event theme and venue to event success. And the result of this research found that event concept has significant and positive to make the event success. The result analysis show that variable of the event concept has a significant value 0,00, with each of sub variable are event purpose 0,007, even theme 0,007, event venue 0,009 where the values is less than 0.05
