Abstract

Family center care is an approach that can minimize the occurrence of trauma toward children and families themselves. The pre-survey was conducted on January 28, 2022, in Nasanapura Hospital, among 10 children who observed about 8 children who have anxiety such as crying loudly when they saw the nurses entering their room, crying when we were going to check vital signs, they refuse the therapy so it needs to be persuaded them by their parents. The purpose of the research was to analyze the correlation between the family-centered care performed and the anxiety of toddler-age in Nasanapura Hospital. This type of research is quantitative with an analytical approach using a cross-sectional design. The population in the research were children who were admitted to the Nasanapura Hospital at the time the research was conducted. The total sample was 43 people taken by purposive sampling technique. The results of the research among 43 respondents have good family-centered care for 23 respondents (53.5%) and poor family-centered care for 20 respondents (46.5%). Respondents who are not anxious are about 24 respondents (55.8%) and those who are anxious are about 19 respondents (44.2%). Based on the results of the chi-square test, the p-value is 0.000 (p-value 0.05). The conclusion mentioned that have a correlation between the family-centered care performed with the anxiety of toddler-age in Nasanapura Hospital. Suggestions for hospitals to establish policies for family-centered care performed and nurses as members of the health team who often have contact with patients could provide information and health education to parents about child care.

Abstract

Motivation is a support, desire or interest that is so great within, to achieve a desire, ideals and certain goals. Conference is a small group discussion conducted by nursing staff at every shift change. Conferences are conducted before (pre-conference) or after handover (post-conference). The implementation of conference has an impact on nurses' skills in reporting nursing care plans and outcomes during shift changes. Data on the implementation of conferences based on a study conducted on nursing in Singapore in 2015 showed a rate about 75.1%, while a study conducted in Iran in 2017, the implementation of clinical conferences was 45.5%. The purpose of both pre and post conferences are to share information, help nurses develop problem-solving and critical thinking skills, provide opportunities for nurses to develop collegial relationships, exchange ideas for specific purposes, share successes and failures in clinical practice. The purpose of this study was to determine the correlation between nurses motivation and the implementation of post conference in Seroja Ward at Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province, the results found that there was a correlation between nurses motivation and the implementation of post conference at Undata Hospital, Central Sulawesi Province with a squere value of p=0.012 (p-value <0.05), then Ho was rejected and H1 was accepted.

Abstract

Hypertension is a non-communicable disease that increases gradually every year around the world. In 2021, mentioned that about 60 elderly people in Tibu village have hypertension experiences. According to the cadres of elderly, many of them in Pustu Tibu Village die due to hypertension and also suffered from heart disease as a result of hypertension. The aim of the research was to obtain the effect of honey with coconut water administered to reduce the blood pressure of the elderly in Tibu Village, Tinombo District. This is quantitative research with a nonequivalent control group design approach. Total of the population about 60 people and samples taken by total sampling technique. Data were analyzed by using the alternative man-Whitney test with honey with coconut water administered as the independent variable and decreasing blood pressure in the elderly as the dependent variable. The results of the pre-test found that most of the elderly (93.3%) in the experimental group respondents have abnormal blood pressure, while the post-test results found that 93.3% of respondents have normal blood pressure results. The results of the bivariate analysis by using the alternative Mann-Whitney test found that have the effect of honey and coconut water were administered to the elderly who had hypertension experiences (p≥α) = 0.00<0.05. The conclusion of the research mentioned that have a significant effect of honey and coconut water were administered to reduce the blood pressure of the elderly in Tibu Village, Tinombo District.

Abstract

Tuberculosis (TB) is a disease caused by the Mycobacterium tuberculosis microorganism and it is transmitted by droplets of saliva from TB patients and penetrates into the bronchioles or alveoli. Globally, about 10 million people are suffer from TB disease in 2019, and Indonesia has about 255,812 cases of Pulmonary Tuberculosis. In Central Sulawesi Province in 2020 about 5,741 cases of TB patients. The aim of the research was to analyze the Knowledge and Attitude of Tuberculosis Patients regarding the Prevention of Transmission in Households at the Balinggi Public Health Center, Balinggi District, Parigi Moutong Regency. This is quantitative research by using an analytical survey design with a cross-sectional approach. The total of sample was 30 patients with tuberculosis disease taken by total sampling technique. The results found that about 76.7% of respondents have good knowledge of good transmission prevention and about 70.0% of respondents have good attitudes toward good transmission prevention. Data analyzed by using the Fisher's Exact Test with p-value = 0.060, it means that have no correlation between Knowledge about Tuberculosis and Prevention in Household Transmission at the Balinggi Public Health Center, Balinggi District, Parigi Moutong Regency, and p-value = 0.003 it means that have a correlation between attitudes about Tuberculosis and Prevention in Household Transmission at the Balinggi Public Health Center, Balinggi District. Parigi Moutong Regency. Suggestions for the Balinggi Public Health Center to pay more attention to the knowledge and attitudes of tuberculosis patients in prevention transmission in the household.

Abstract

Congestive Heart Failure (CHF) patients require medication adherence to prevent recurrence or worsening of the condition. Treatment compliance in CHF patients requires family support. The purpose of the study was to determine the relationship between family support and the level of compliance with taking medication in CHF patients in the ICVCU room at RSUD Anutapura Palu. This type of research is quantitative with an analytic approach using a cross-sectional design. The population in this study were CHF patients in the ICVCU room at RSUD Anutapura Palu from March to May 2024, totaling 53 respondents, with a sampling technique using puposive sampling of 35 patients. The results of the study supportive family support as many as 18 respondents and those who did not support as many as 17 respondents while for the level of compliance with taking high medication as many as 13 respondents, moderate compliance as many as 11 respondents and for low compliance as many as 11 respondents. The results of statistical analysis using the Chi-square correlation test obtained from 35 respondents showed a p-value of 0.033 (p <0.05). There is a relationship between family support and the level of compliance with taking medication in CHF patients in the ICVCU room at RSUD Anutapura Palu. It is expected to be input for hospitals to always provide education to patients to always take medicine and families always provide support in treatment.
