Abstract

Feed is an important factor in cultivating catfish (Clarias sp.), which affects the survival and growth of fry. Catfish growth is greatly influenced by feed quality, including nutrition, digestibility and feed utilization. Fermented feed is one of the innovations developed to improve feed quality. Fermented feed has become an attractive alternative to improve feed quality and growth efficiency. This article aims to explore the effect of fermented feed on the survival and growth of catfish fry by reviewing various previous studies. The method used is a literature review by collecting research results from various published scientific articles. The research results show that the use of fermented feed in catfish cultivation can increase growth, digestibility and feed efficiency. Further research is needed to explore optimal dosage and composition.

Abstract

The problem of plastic waste in the ocean is a global problem that endangers the quality of sea water and the marine ecosystem as a whole. This article discusses the relationship between how to manage plastic waste and how it affects seawater quality, such as pH, temperature, salinity, dissolved oxygen (DO), and biological oxygen demand (BOD5). Research from the literature shows that plastic waste, especially microplastics and macroplastics, can affect the chemical and physical quality of sea water. For example, a decrease in pH levels due to accumulated organic acids, local heating due to sunlight absorbed by plastic, and changes in salinity due to interaction with fresh water. In addition, the accumulation of plastic causes a reduction in dissolved oxygen (DO) and an increase in BOD5 levels, which is detrimental to marine ecosystems. Decreased water quality can endanger marine species because these species are very dependent on the chemical balance of the water. Despite much research on the impact of plastic waste on water quality, there remains a gap in understanding the long-term impacts and the need for more comprehensive plastic waste management. Further research is needed to resolve these issues and create more effective management strategies.

Abstract

Government Regulation Number 61 of 2009 concerning Ports, classifies seaports in Indonesia based on a hierarchy consisting of transport ports (PU), collecting ports (PP), feeder ports (PP), consisting of: territorial feeder ports (PR) and territorial feeder ports (PR) and territorial feeder ports (PR). local feeder ports (PL Based on the decision of the Local Feeder Port (PL). In this research using literature study, where this method is a systematic, explicit and reproducible method to identify, bring up and synthesize the works of research results. The purpose of this research is to analyze the Wind Port Development Strategy Analysis of basic facilities, functional facilities and supporting facilities and problems that exist in the Gunungsitoli City Ship Port, analyzing port development The fishing port is very important for fishermen, because it is a point of preservation of land and sea and a place for storage and distribution of goods. In developing the port there must be cooperation between fishermen and communities in the coastal environment and must also be in contact with the government so that it can build a good port in North Nias Regency and get facilities that support the performance of fishermen or coastal communities. fishermen and communities in the coastal environment and must also be in contact with the government so that it can build a good port.

Abstract

This research explores innovative strategies in the management of marine fisheries resources and their impact on the welfare of fishers in Siofabanua Village, North Nias. Using a holistic and multidisciplinary approach, we analyzed aspects of the marine ecosystem, fishers' socioeconomic dynamics, and fisheries management policies. The analysis showed that the implementation of innovative strategies significantly improved fishers' income, access to education and health, and their quality of life. Government support, community involvement, and fishers' capacity also play an important role in the success of innovative strategies. This research provides recommendations for governments, non-governmental organizations and communities to strengthen policies, funding, institutions and cooperation to maintain the sustainability of marine fisheries resources and improve fishers' welfare. This article not only provides an in-depth understanding of the challenges faced by fishing communities in Siofabanua Village, but also proposes innovative solutions to improve their welfare. It is hoped that this article can serve as a guide for practitioners, policy makers, and communities in maintaining the sustainability of marine fisheries resources and the welfare of fishers in coastal areas.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the role of probiotics in supporting the sustainability of fish farming systems. The study was conducted using a literature analysis method from various scientific sources, including journals, academic books, and other scientific works. Probiotics are proven to have significant benefits in increasing feed efficiency, improving water quality, and increasing fish resistance to disease. The study results show that probiotics can reduce ammonia levels by 40%, increase feed conversion efficiency (FCR) by 25%, and increase fish survival rates by 90%. In addition, the use of probiotics can reduce dependence on antibiotics and chemicals, making it more environmentally friendly. The conclusion of this study is that probiotics are an effective solution to improve production efficiency while maintaining environmental sustainability in fish farming. However, further research is needed to optimize the type and application of probiotics that suit various aquaculture systems.
