Abstract

Abstract Political education is a crucial process and is attached to the KPU, aimed at ensuring voters understand the essence of holding elections and their impact on democracy. One of the voter segments that plays a big role in elections in Indonesia is young voters. Political education for young voters in Bandung City in order to encourage political awareness and personality can be done in various ways, one of which is by using the Bandung City KPU Election Smart House (RPP). This research uses qualitative research methods with interviews as primary data sources, literature studies and documentation as secondary data sources. The interview technique used a purposive technique, informants came from the Bandung City KPU and young voters who had visited the Bandung City KPU RPP. The data analysis technique was carried out using the Miles and Huberman technique, namely the process of reduction, data presentation and verification. The data triangulation process in this research also uses data source triangulation. The results of the research show that political education through the Bandung City KPU RPP for young voters is carried out by physically procuring and also digitizing political materials. In actualization, the RPP also provides information according to the needs of young voters. The political education process through the Bandung City KPU RPP has had a significant impact on the understanding, awareness and political personality of young voters, especially in the 2024 simultaneous election agenda. Abstract

Tulisan ini hendak membahas mengenai pertarungan Islam global dalam dinamika politik Indonesia pasca reformasi. Perjalanan Islam sebagai agama dari jazirah arab menimbulkan banyak perubahan lansekap di negara-negara lain yang menerimanya sebagai ajaran sebuah agama baru. Konteks Islam global disini mengacu pada adnya penyebaran agama Islam secara universal dengan menembus batas teritorial negara lainnya. Appadurai menyebutkan bahwa globalisasi membawa adanya perubahan pada aras sosio kultural masyarakat dengan menyebarnya pandangan tentang ruang (scape). Dalam praktiknya, universalisme islam ini mendapat beragam perlakuan. Di Indonesia khususnya, arah Islam sebagai ajaran dan lembaga terbagi menjadi pecahan yang sangat multi. Dua besar diantaranya masuk dalam aliran “Islam puritan” dan “Islam kultural”.  Mereka yang masuk dalam Islam puritan cenderung pada tafsir lateral mengikuti “kebudayaan asal Islam”, sedangkan yang lebih kultural telah disesuaikan dengan situasi dan kondisi masyarakat. Artikel ini menggunakan metode penelitian kualitatif tekstual dengan menggunakan instrumen tinjauan pustaka yang relevan. Kesimpulan artikel ini didapatkan bahwa globalisme Islam yang ada di Indonesia tidak hanya masuk sebagai agama baru, namun telah menjelma menjadi kekuatan yang digunakan untuk menaklukkan sendi-sendi perikehidupan sosial, politik dan kultural yang ada di Indonesia.

Abstract

Autism spectrum disorders (ASD) comprise a wide range of conditions characterised by varying degrees of challenges with social interaction and communication. Meanwhile, TikTok is a social media platform that allows users to share short videos. The purpose of this study is to measure the level of youth’s awareness towards autism spectrum disorder (ASD) on TikTok and to reduce stigma towards autism spectrum disorder (ASD) among youth. The study adopted magic bullet theory as the basis for developing its model. A total of 408 respondents, comprising multi-ethnic Malaysian youth between the ages of 15-40 who have exposure to social media usage, participated through an online questionnaire distributed to them. Both convenience sampling and purposive sampling were integrated for data collection. Manual analysis was done to analyze the collected research data. The main findings of the study showed that exposure to autism awareness content on TikTok has emerged as a powerful catalyst in transforming youths’ attitudes toward autism. Overall, this study revealed that TikTok could be used as an effective tool to spread awareness and change the stigma or negative perception of youth towards ASD issues.

Abstract

This journal analyzes violations of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) in the context of illegal fishing using unauthorized fishing gear in the Riau Islands, Indonesia. The research reveals serious impacts on the marine ecosystem and the sustainability of regional fishery resources. The UNCLOS legal analysis provides a foundation for evaluating these violations and their implications in international relations. These findings underscore the importance of international maritime law enforcement and inter-country cooperation in safeguarding the marine environment and maintaining fisheries sustainability in this region.

Abstract

The purpose of this research is to discuss the Local Currency Settlement policy between Indonesia and China. Using the SWOT analysis method by collecting and evaluating data from various sources of academic publications. The relationship between Indonesia and China, both of which hold significant positions in the global order. The Local Currency Settlement (LCS) itself is a bilateral transaction settlement conducted between Indonesia and China to be able to use local currencies that are valid in each country. The implementation of LCS brings many benefits to Indonesia, including increased trade volume between Indonesia and China, ease of payment using local currencies, and strengthening bilateral relations between Indonesia in trade and investment.

Abstract

Mining activities in the Moro sand of Riau Islands have caused many serious environmental problems, especially damage to marine ecosystems and landscape changes that have an impact on the socio-economic life of coastal communities. This problem is increasingly complex with the government's policy to reopen sea sand export licenses, basically there have also been previous regulations prohibiting the practice. This research aims to analyze the environmental impacts of sand mining and evaluate the countermeasures and regulations implemented by the government. The research method used is a qualitative approach with data collection techniques through document studies, literature, and analysis of related policies. The data obtained is processed through a process of editing, grouping, verification, and descriptive inference to provide an objective picture of the conditions in the field. The results show that sand mining activities in the Riau Islands have an impact on coastal erosion, damage to marine ecosystem habitats, and disruption to the local hydrological cycle. Countermeasures by the government have been carried out through regulations such as Presidential Decree Number 33 of 2002 and Government Regulation Number 26 of 2023. Challenges in regulation implementation and law enforcement remain high, especially related to illegal mining activities and lack of supervisory capacity. Synergy between the government, community, and private sector is needed with the aim of maintaining a balance between economic needs and environmental sustainability.
