Abstract

Teenagers prefer the current trend of Korean style, so many Indonesian companies are rushing to create products that meet the community's needs and compete with foreign companies. In addition, companies are more focused on their preferences, forgetting the fact that Indonesians also need halal product labels. However, the lack of halal awareness (consumer knowledge about halal products) makes Indonesians forget the importance of halal-labeled products. This study aims to investigate the impact of halal labels, income, product ingredients, and lifestyle on the purchasing interest of Gen Z consumers in imported Korean cosmetics. This study uses a quantitative research method. This study demonstrates validity in several tests. It also provides additional information, references, and insights for readers regarding the influence of halal labels, product ingredients, and lifestyle on the interest of Gen Z consumers in purchasing imported Korean cosmetics. It can also help companies understand the extent to which halal labels influence consumers, including their product preferences and lifestyle, as well as their interest in purchasing cosmetics imported from Korea.

Abstract

This study aims to design a halal supply chain system integrated with blockchain technology to enhance transparency, traceability, and reliability in the halal certification process. The research addresses systemic limitations of Indonesia’s current halal assurance system, which depends heavily on human intervention and lacks integration among stakeholders. Using Oricow Meatshop Yogyakarta as a case study, the study employs an analytical and simulation-based approach, developing analytical designs, flow diagrams, and Data Flow Diagrams (DFD), and modeling the system through Causal Loop Diagrams (CLD) and Stock and Flow Diagrams (SFD) using Powersim software. The findings propose a consortium blockchain framework with a permissioned voting-based consensus mechanism to ensure data integrity and operational efficiency. The system integrates human and hardware oracles to verify halal-related data and record product movement, while smart contracts automate transaction verification based on halal certification standards. Simulation results show that blockchain implementation improves the halal assurance system’s performance, strengthens transparency, and increases consumer demand for halal products. Theoretically, this research contributes to the understanding of blockchain-based halal supply chains by connecting technological innovation with transparency and trust theories, demonstrating how blockchain mechanisms can be tailored to halal certification. Practically, it provides managerial insights for industry stakeholders to adopt blockchain as a digital infrastructure for credible and efficient halal certification management. However, the study’s scope is limited to a specific case and simulation framework, suggesting the need for broader empirical validation in future research.

Abstract

This study aims to analyze the priority of integrating the halal supply chain in halal tourism, the opportunities and challenges faced by business actors, and the impact level of halal tourism on entrepreneurs, surrounding communities, and the government. Halal tourism is a tourism concept that provides services, facilities, and primarily to meet the needs of Muslim travelers. The research findings indicate that the current priority in halal tourism lies in enhancing competitiveness and achieving substantial financial benefits. This study seeks to identify priority factors in the integration of the halal supply chain within the tourism sector, focusing on key elements that support the creation of a sustainable halal tourism ecosystem. The research methodology employs a mixed methods approach, combining quantitative analysis through questionnaires distributed to supply chain actors (business owners, academics, tourists) and qualitative analysis through interviews with stakeholders.
